my sister’s aussie fiancé was taken to the riverhead over christmas and did not leave until he had made sure every beer had been sampled. and narrowly avoided falling in the canal on the way back to sla’wit

i’m collectively cheered by the photoshop workmanship on show as well – real consideration for the image and the text is shown in the layout of these!

Flatboy – os map is your friend, elements of many routes will be ‘cheeky’ but, on the whole walkers are not to common except for on / around the pennine way bits. Give me a shout some time, won’t claim to know the valley like the back of my hand but can show you some great routes out of Marsden – anything from half an hour to a good few hours (basically the bogtrotters route over the hill and back) – all start the same way – UP – and are essentially loops of varying sizes…. mostly adaptable to result in a visit to the pub!!

that’s very kind – i might well twist your arm one day when we’re up that way and see if i can get you to guide! out of interest, where would you say is the nearest decent mtb shop round that way to try and get the old chap fixed up? i know stif in leeds, but are there any nearer or better that i can send him to? cheers!

it’s interesting how all the results thus far are fairly plausible in every aspect. pretty good method and one that i’ll bear in my mind when i get my big break.

where: fackin’ lahndan, finsbury park to mayfair via upper street, holborn and oxford street

what: a mesmerising black blur of an on one scandal with rigid carbon fork and slicks, moving faster than the eye can see

it’s a bit conclusive, isn’t it – what if he (or she, perhaps?) decides, eventually, that gears are the way to go?!

foxy, i don’t suppose you’ve got a higher res version of the robin with its little beak open, sitting on the seat, that you’d mind emailing me, would you? i would like to use it to make my gf a birthday card!

i wouldn’t imagine there’s a legal requirement that you are or aren’t obliged to answer your phone out of office hours as it would be individually negotiated. it’s the sort of thing where one would have to be firm and stand one’s ground in politely declining.

it’s very interesting seeing the different amounts of stuff people deem necessary for the same thing, some excellent lists here!

anyone got any nicely labeled pics to provide some illustrations as well?!

riding my bike in a hippity hoppity fashion involving steps, drops and general foolishness on uni campus

Clearly, while doing that wearing a helmet makes a lot of sense. But for riding to the shops to buy a paper?

i’m not trying to say anyone should or shouldn’t wear a helmet, more addressing the description of a skull fracture as minor. but yes, i generally wear one whenever i get on a bike these days just in case.

i had a skull fracture a few years ago. i was unconscious for 2 weeks and nearly died. hence i now always wear a helmet on the bike as it’s something i’m keen to avoid repeating.

london, at least, is massively oversaturated with rental property and there are fewer people looking, so places are staying empty and rent levels have dropped significantly so it income from it’s no certainty.

£5,500 (high spec mountain bike). These high value bikes can distort the average value so the Mode (most common value) is £200.

good – the more distorted upwards the better if it means they do something about it!

at least they appear to be addressing the issue, but sounds like they’re talking about the theft of bikes from public places rather than the bespoke attacks on people’s private property, which seems on here to be the bigger concern?

Thats_not_my_name – where can you get the twin six jerseys in the UK? A quick google didn’t throw up any obvious sources.

here you go, this place does them: Always Riding

if they’re not combined shifter/brake levers you could just swap the whole levers over without disconnecting anything.

    ah yes, this is true.
