    yoga fixes my bad knee.
My knee problem is muscular pain on the rear of the knee. It was caused by reckless squash sessions years ago.
When its bad it get svery achy after cycling, not too bad when I’m actually cycling.
If I do yoga for a few weeks it gets better, if I leave the yoga for a while it comes back.

I find sunshine…ok then daylight, seems to be good for neutralising the smells. i.e. drying them outside. Not easy when its 100% humidity I know. But when mine get smelly I try and dry them in daylight and it works for me.

Lance has been destroyed because his Livestrong brand was becoming too powerful and influencing mainstream consumers.

The mainstream health message is corporate controlled. This is a VERY powerful industry.

Why else would they go to the lengths they have to expose him?

He is a hero to me. But then I was never naiive enough to think he got his wins without drugs. I think most top athletes take drugs.

I’d consider this, serious bargain, I might get one but don’t need one. Might get one anyway.

iron goes cherry red at 600-800deg c and actually burns at 1400. So getting the fire cement to 1500 deg C could be tricky!
I think an angle grinder might be good if you’re careful.

Ive just ordered a £17.30 from China. I’ve already got 2 that I paid £30 each for in the UK. At that price I couldn’t say no. In fact, I might order one more as a spare.

I read on another thread, that it may be wise to be careful charging them, as they may try and burn your house down. I’m charging mine in work.

3 of my friends have these lights, so far with no issues but we haven’t used them extensively. I find they give ample light but I think you need 2. One on the helmet and 1 on the bars. bit risky with only 1. I turned mine off in the woods to see how dark it was, it was VERY VERY dark.

Good idea with old sweet tin. I might adopt that myself. Or I might start charging them at work.

The burn your house down bit has crossed my mind, I charge them under the smoke alarm.

I know that its not 1800 lumens, but they are very good regardless.
2 of them provide more than enough light and the battery seeems good.
Maybe they will stop working, if they don’t then I will let you know so you can save some cash! I’ll keep you posted.

Am I missing something? £500 for a light? Really?

Admittedly, I’ve only just started night riding, but my lights are great and only cost £30 each. Got one on the helmet and one on the bars. Loads of light and last at least 2 hours (they’ve not run out yet)

I can’t believe people are paying those kind of prices.

I have one bike, a Rocket with 160mm Bos. I never lose any sleep from being over biked. I am over biked 80% of the time I’d say.
I regularly do local xc mincer rides. I find there is always something along the way that warrants the suspension.

You get loads more heat from smokey coal compared to smokeless. Balls to the regulations, all stoves are efficient. Its not melted my stove yet. Stoves have a certain life expectancy, I suspect that will be reduced by the intense heat you can achieve with good coal compared to log burning. Smokeless coal is a waste of time ime. I burn wood and when that runs out I burn good coal.

I always buy a size smaller as they go baggy after a few rides. So I buy small rather than medium, done it for several pairs now and not regretted it. They can be a bit tight at first but after a couple of rides they bed in.

I find it pretty good at climbing. I got a small frame with a 70mm stem (very compact), with 160mm fork and its a bit of a handful on rutted/rocky climbs, but its fine on smooth surface climbs. On the downhill its REALLY good fun.

You should have got a branded chain stay protector with the frame?

    I didn’t get one either 😐

I have the same bike same colour. I thought long and hard over white or black flow rims, I went with black, but looking at yours, white looks a lot better. I thought it would be too tarty, but it looks ace. Seat looks made for it too and the black crank looks great. I avoided black crank because they eventually look shit when the paint wears off, again I’m regretting not going for black. I think your build is almost aesthetically perfect, perhaps a white stem would look good, looks perhaps a bit too black up top. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.

Cheers for all the info, I was actually using a rear specific minion, I found it very good for grip.
I think I’ll stick it back on and accept the drag. When its worn out I’ll get a 60a. keep the ardent for longer, non-muddy rides.

    theendisnigh

Yes they are VERY grippy, just a bit draggy for flatter rides. maybe I should just man up and get on with it. Thats the conclusion i am coming to here.

FieldMarshall, is that a rear specific minion?

sorry if this is a bit dim, but where do you get the OS maps from?

only £30 and seriously bright, very compact battery, I’m very happy.

I also bought some cheap lights for the bars, but they are shhyyyyyyyyyte!

I bought a cheap chainsaw for about £55 if I remember from ebay. Its a cheap chinese thing but does the job really well. I have a full log shed thanks to it.

It was a german company selling loads of them by auction. orange and under various brand names that i don’t recall.

are you removing the core of the valve? That seems to help maximise flow. Once seated you then reinflate with the core.

Also I use neat washing up liquid when I can’t get it going and that has never failed to instantly inflate a tyre. Diluted with water is no where near as effective ime.

Ive never ridden epic scottish rides, I think I will next summer. I probably could ride it all day if I paced myself.

because, to my mind/legs, its a bit heavy duty for that kind of thing. Maybe you are stronger/younger than me. I’m usually spent after 3 hrs hard riding
I used to have a trek ex and I could go for longer on that, but I had light wheels and tyres. On the rocket I’ve got heavier duty wheels and tacky heavyish tyres. Its more fun like that, but not a long distance bike. The rocket climbs as well as the Trek. I guess you could build with light wheels etc, but its not really what its designed for.

Riding it is the important bit 🙂

in my opinion, white rims only look good on a white bike. And blue seat post may match the stem, but it looks gash with everything else. Youve tried too hard.
I’m glad you are enjoying it though! Fk everyone!

I’ve got one and really like it. I’d say its not a bike for huge distances, but for literally everything else its really great. I only ride for about 3 hrs max, so for me its close to perfect.

and if all that fails, a squirt of neat washing up liquid around the tyre wall works everytime

He is a vile man from a vile profession, but he has a point. The police gave him the lies as facts. He happily printed it, thats what the gutter press do. To mind, while he is no doubt a vile man, its the police you should direct most of your anger at. Will they be brought to justice?
