Cy must be so excited to have an excuse to make a bike with even longer chainstays:) I hope to be surprised with 440mm or even a 435/445 chip.

I filed the crimped threaded part so the core can be taken apart. If you think you can’t remember not to unthread it all the way, maybe not a option for you. The other thing is that if you flat on a ride and then need to use a pump, you have a option to clean it there if it’s clogged.

I always liked Transition and would maybe buy a cheaper direct sale one, but don’t really see the point when you have Bird.

If you got time go to jonkershoek in stellenbosch. We ride there often and it’s fantastic. There are many videos on YouTube of the trails to give you an idea of what’s on offer. It’s about 45 min drive from Cape Town.

Yeah it’s the beginning of the year, so take it easy. I damaged a seal changing freehub bearings once and when asking if they sell them separately they said no but got some out 2 broken freehubs and sent them over for free.

It’s a stupid design, always used Shimano with no torque wrench and never had a issue. I hoped the next generation would see direct mount chainrings with the pinchbolts but the new Xtr have dropped them and gone to one bolt like on the Sram and RaceFace:(

I bought a new pike from amazon for £280, used it for 2 years and just sold it for £265.

There are more than a few DH bikes being raced on ex471 25id rims this weekend at world championships.

I like his style. Just wipe it with a rag.

I briefly had 20 mm rise race face atlas 35 diameter bars that were cut from 800 to 780mm and they felt disgusting! I went back to 31.8mm and a 38mm rise nukeproof Sam Hill bar and it’s really comfortable.

They don’t list the offset of either forks and are the pikes also the 2019 with the new air spring?

They should release a updated transam 29 instead and go direct sale so the prices can drop.

I have about 8000km on one and that includes 4000km bikepacking across NZ and it’s still good. This is a new superstar we are dealing with. The UK made stuff is great. They are making parts for Stanton bikes which also won’t harm their reputation for producing quality.

I had 6 bikes and went to one and it’s great. 29” hardtail it is.

They have always been great except for the last order, split into 3 separate deliveries to Finale Ligure. The last one has not arrived yet.

The Pole evolink 140 frame is 4.2kg it says on their website. 3.4kg is nothing. XL steel hardtails are over 3kg often. I welcome strong bikes that take a beating and last for years. It’s the wheels where you feel the weight.

I know people like you and they always get taken advantage of. Some people have no shame and others will snap themselves in half trying to please. I agree it’s not worth it for a £200 bike, so refund.

The only reason to not get one might be that a update is due soon I would think. I also avoid pressfit.

There is another article on there now also about coil vs air. It’s annoying that once again all the discussion is about performance. I’m more interested in how much more reliable and how often compared to air, coil needs servicing. The comparison should be between two shocks with 6 months riding on them rather than brand new.

They are also making parts for the new Stanton bikes full suspension bike.

I just checked the mk3 arch on my 60kg girlfriends bike and pretty much every driveside hole one is cracked and some you can feel a distinct raised section.

Great company to deal with and I’m really into this bike. I want the green one and my girlfriend wants the blue one. If you don’t accept pressfit then there are less options out there. The transition sentinel looks good, but a 2 year warranty?

I read somewhere recently that unlike the pike both of the stanchions on the yari due to not having a charger damper are sealed up so they ramp up more, thought that was interesting.

Shimano style cranks with pinch bolts onto spindle and direct mount would be great. How easy is it to remove these other cranks that ask for 40nm etc.?

Yeah I don’t get why it’s so high, was interested but my scout has 60mm with a 140mm fork and feels great. I was thinking of a Shan gt which has 58mm drop.
