Kids are conditioned all year, there's no escape for them. I've had my lad tell me he wants something without him actually knowing what it is or what it does, such is the power of advertising. christmas is for the kids pure and simple, its a magical for them, i remember it was for me. As you get older it means less. What i object to are some of the adverts on tv especially the charity ones 'spare a thought for a homeless person this christmas' am i only supposed to care at christmas?? I let my 6 year old play GTA on the xbox, i thought i'd see how it went and if it started affecting him i'd stop it. Well i can report he isn't remotely bothered or affected by the swearing and violence he just loves driving the cars and bikes, he keeps telling me it isn't real. I ride a patriot and have had several failed attempts at fitting a chain guide. There are no ISCG tabs on the patriot frame so you've either got to buy an ISCG adaptor which will fit where the bottom bracket spacer goes or buy a chain gude without any ISCG mounts on. Either way you'll be left with little or no clearance between the mounting plate and your granny ring. I couldn't get one to fit at all so just tightened the chain up which works. If anyone has managed to fit one to a patriot i'm all ears!!!
