I probably should’ve said I prefer the “across the frame” type suspension.

    Any other suggestions folks ??

Can we get a run down on where the pics are please ??

I think I recognise a few places but not many, Loch Turret being one ? and Laggan dam of course.

You could do the WHW all the way from there to Fort Bill, with probably just a push up the devils staircase.

If you're that way you're better off going to Loch Turret

Backmuir woods, Tempy woods, Dronley woods, Clatto woods and all cycleable (is that a real word ?) from the city, then, as has been mentioned, Sidlaw hills, with tonnes of single track, although a tad over grown with all the rain and heat we've had ( I was up there last week), Bridge o Cally, Dunkeld. If I ever get round to getting my bike sorted or buy another, I'd happily go out with ye fella.

The Dbf – wtf is that in the stand of trees in front of the Buchaille?

I'm guessing it's the reflection off the window where I took the pic, inside the Kings House Lounge

Go early, go quiet(ish) and make sure they can't find your car/van if you are 'seen'.

My concern about that is land workers would be about during the week, where at the weekends, far more people about

The DBF – I hate to nitpick (but I'm going to anyway), but that's Aultbea (coming from Gairloch I feel obliged to point that out!)

I maybe should've said it was on my trip up to Gairloch for the night, just North of Poolewe IIRC but where ever, it was fantastic

I rode for Yamaha GB in the 125 championship class.

Even got selected for the British ISDE team in France and Germany.

Never won the british championship though due to a certain guy by the name of Edmondson. I'm lead to believe he's still doing quite well for an old guy.

In fact a few of the guys from my era are still up there even though they're now in the oldtimers class.

    Respect 8)

I did one H&H last year and near died, in fact I thought I did die half way round the first lap 😆 then to be lapped by the experts about 100 yards later 😯 It was all to much hassle in the end and fear of breaking me old bones put me off the eunduros altho loads of fun, hense why I fancy the trials and up (Scotland)you don't need a license, £5 club fee, tenner a trial and that's it, cheap as chips.
