Rapha still have their cross 3/4 bibs on sale, and very nice they are too.

Just about everything from Lezyne is lovely and would adorn your frame well

Is this the guy that won just about everything on a GT LTS about 15 years ago? Saw his name in the 4cross results on cyclingnews this morning.

Wow back from a very hot and arduous 40km loop.

Managed to break my chain after 3km, crash at 15km and get nailed by a tree around 30km.

Still points to note: Bottom bracket seems lower than my old Fisher as I kept hitting things. The difference in Deore and XT shifting is quite marked.Having saddle pointing to the moon issues and a slight lateral movement in the bottom bracket. Else not too bad, very pleased in fact.

For reference I'm 6.2", there is 30cm between the top tube and seat rails, but only 12cm of actual post.

    Try Shutt VR http://www.shuttvr.com/

Made in the UK, really nice merino wool, good designs, super quality, well priced for what you get, i.e £40 a pop less than Rapha, but similar styling, quality, and fit.

    Thanks for the comments guys.

Stem is 110, but look way longer in those shots.

    Small to small fail, agree.

Saddle position not fixed yet, but I assume the comment was sarcastic?

I'm finding those riser bars really nice, although agree that most true XC race bikes have flat bars.

Actual seat post quite short but the extended seat tube and post together are long. Shorter in the second shot as its been set up correctly there.

    Nice looking frame.

Saw a BFe in Copenhagen station last week and had to stop the guy and have a chat about it. Nice grey frame with green Chris King bling, lovely.

    Have fun with the build

roadie cap every time, classic, although it really requires a non peaked lid.

Got one, and the plastic tool to fit it. Super service from my LTMOBS, (local to my office bike shop).

Build will be complete tonight, happy man!

Surely you don't actually need it for anything more than the fitting

    Wow!

Trying to think of another sport where your body gets so visibly and dramatically transformed to fit its purpose.

The only place I know you can buy Rapha is at Condor Cycles or I guess at the new pop up Rapha shop. Both in central London.

Their 3/4 length tights are excellent, but I do not have their shorts so can not comment on there "shortness"

Assos always come up short on me so I wear Campag Heritage which are cut longer, I'm 6.2" for reference.

Just a thought, check it's not inside the Bottom Bracket plastic tube.

Good tip, I have however had a PM form a shop in Göteborg who are going out of their way to get me one today. Great community effort as I posted a request on the Swedish site happymtb.org

So expect a new bike thread later today 😉

This order in particular has been fraught with trouble, whilst the other half a dozen or so orders from them have been fine.

I just want the bolt today as the wife and children are away for the weekend and I plan on riding my arse off both days.

Same warranty on all Trek frames. The 9.9s are lovely though.

Interesting, I had incorrectly understood that the US built OCLV ones had a different back up policy. Something I read/heard somewhere.

Still nice bike, waiting first ride at the weekend 😉

There are few good deals on Trek 9.9's at the moment. I picked one up over here at a great price. Excellent warranty with the US built ones as well.

Have almost run and cycled into moose a couple of time whilst over here, freaking huge things I can tell you.

Also managed to cycle right into a moose hunt one with guys in camo, guns, and the whole nine yards. "Morning, errh, sorry, which way without getting shot at?"

Luckily never, although my new frame has a replaceable hanger, which is good news.

Do they still do bolts that are designed to give before anything else does? Seem to remember them from way back in the day.

I'm not sure he would directly, just look how dominant Sven Nyes has been in cyclo-cross and he came in around 40th in last last weekends World Cup, granted he maybe in an off session period, but still.

I like that, seat post could do with a bit more extension though.

White bits look cool but result in you having the ride fast, all the time.

No riding this weekend, Gothenburg half marathon Saturday and a stag night in the evening. Sunday consisted of grass cutting and other such tasks.
