Got a friend travelling round Treviso at the moment visiting Campy etc. He saw this yesterday and had a good chat with the marketing people, seemed pretty impressed with it.

Still as a brand I’ve never got Pinarello at all, (Banesto/Indurian being the exception)

I run them with Hope hubs, made by Strada, they are my CX race wheels and I love them!

Other than that, Ambrosio Nemesis are very nice.

    Use the following site:
    http://strava-tools.raceshape.com/snap/

Grab the Strava URL for your ride, enter it in the site, play with the route, save the new route, load it into Strava again.

    Done.

Big thumbs up to Wolf Tooth. Ordered a 36 for an XT setup last weekend, turned up within 6 days, first outing was a 80km xc race. No dropped chain, no chain device used, perfect in every way.

That’s pretty much my nutrition plan as well Bensales.

Gel every 40 minutes, chewy thing inbetween, water at the feed stations.

Toast and coffee in the morning, eat well the day before but not one huge meal, more evenly spaced out during the day.

Dairy screws the stomach, or has been shown to in a lot of people.

Toast with honey and coffee for me. Definitely trial a routine beforehand!

    Nice work there trickydisco!

50km on the MTB Saturday, 65KM on the road bike Sunday. One ride in 20 degrees and sun, the other in 10 and hail, what a difference 24 hours can make. All in all two good training sessions.

Anything is possible if you buy the rings individually.

I’m a total advocate for single ring set-ups, however if you’ve no road bike,(like me), a 36/46 would be very nice as I often spin out my 42 ring on the road whilst training.

Right, so that’s two thumbs up for Hutchinson and a “no” for the ghetto route.

Are the Schwalbe ones available yet?

What BristolPablo said is spot on.

    What’s the intended use?

A grand is too much for club run wheels, and not enough for Zip/Enve race wheels.

Having had a set built by them I can recommend Strada, else HED Ardennes would be worth a look at.

Try using SNAP, strava needs a polish. You can edit sections of a ride, useful if you’ve got a dodgy GPS signal.

A Contura 550A, very nice at providing additional heating when required.

    Race time for my son’s:

I managed two solid training sessions of 50km and 45km, riding some brilliant dry and rocky trails.

I do it with my 4 year old now, he rides, i piss about trying to wheelie…

This is what I spend my time doing as well when cycling with the little ones. Trianers and normal SPD’s here, great fun and actually starting to see and improvement in my skills, (shock 8O), and great “quality time” with the boys as well.

Yeah it was an April 1st joke, bloody funny one though, well written.

    edit:
Canti’s all the way, don’t know of any team mates switching to disks, but do know of two are are moving back to cantis after trying them for a season.

You can get a long way with three good sessions a week, exactly as you state, long, threshold, and interval.

However that works well for XC events, but with 6 hour events I’d say time in the saddle it going to be limiting factor, not absolute power, or VO2 max.

Can you not add a session of two commuting to work? Keep what you’ve got and try to add to it with more cycling.

Ran Stockholm marathon. Now that’s done I’ve got 25 days to turn myself into, (back into?), a cyclist before the first MTB race of the year.

1*10 here, 42 upfront with 11*27 out back, perfect for me, if 27 doesn’t cover it then running is quicker

I’ve cracked two 9.9 elite frames, a ’10 and a ’11, both were replaced in under 10 days with the following years model.

Fantastic service from Trek in my experience.

I had some active crossovers built for a pair of Roksan Ojan speakers and bi-amped using 4 out of 5 channels from a huge Rotel 1095 amp.

Used the digital volume control in the DAC to go straight to the powers, missing out the pre-amp. Fantastic dynamics, if not too subtle.

Given the cost, the hassle, and the amount of boxes, then its not worth it, but it was fun.

Went for a stunning 90 minute hard ride along dusty tracks under a blue sky. Perfect start to a Sunday morning.
