Do people rate their MTB wheels Njee?

Back on topic, Campy Neutrons are nice.

Sky’s normal policy is to start slow and finish quick, so I hope that’s the plan today.

Nothing wrong with that for the price, very nice indeed.

Excellent bottle cage to frame colour matching as well.

I’ve stayed in Los Christianos three times, its ever so slightly less touristy than Playa de las Americas next door and has good, all be it hilly, access to the some excellent riding.

That sounds like a good plan, Tenerife is bloody great for road biking, however its very hilly and you’d need to be in good shape to actually be able to ride for that length of time.

The Crokett was built for Katie Compton to race on before Sven turned up and the Boone was born. Big difference between those two, but it’s still a nice frame, although I’d look at the Ridley range as well for disk CX racing frames.

Trek have issues, (Armstrong, Lemond, Klein), however so do Specialized and most other major manufactures. At least their OCLV range is still made in the US, if that’s your thing.

In my experience they have an excellent after market support system and I’m pretty sure my next MTB will be from their 2015 range.

Nicely done, be interested to see how the repair holds out over the winter.

I run twice a week, mostly trail, and have started racing again, mostly within the trail scene.

Amazed at how quickly my legs recover after a trail marathon compared to a road one!

    Nice work!

Revolver, along with Downward Spiral, are the two sessions that are mentally easiest I think. Both are short intervals, (or decreasing in time), and as such I seem to be able to cope with them.

Angles on the other hand, when done at FTP is an absolute killer session.

I returned to the rollers yesterday for the first time since March, ooh boy was that not pretty. Managed 50 minutes of Hell Hath No Fury then climbed off, more from mental exhaustion than physical. FTP setting was reduced as well.

There are easier ways to train, but none so effective.

I’ve been using rollers with TrainerRoad and Sufferfest for the previous few winters and will continue to do so.

Whilst I would undoubtedly be able to squeeze a few more watts out of each session using a turbo, the actual act of cycling and balancing using the rollers is just so much nicer.

As for resistance issues, well I haven’t come across any, 30 second sprints requiring me to make 550+ watt efforts, which as a number are easily achievable, if not always physically achievable, provide enough of a workout.

    Elite Arion rollers with resistance.

I imagine the Ambits might fall in price once the new 3 is released. Might be worth waiting a bit, they are nice watches, I’ve been using mine for a few months now and quite often choose it over my Edge 500 for rides.

I rode the 2015 FSi a few months ago, Enve wheels, the lot.

Super fast, love the Lefty, brilliant for racing and Strava bagging, however, (like all 29ers I’ve tried), it was somewhat lacking in fun, it left me smiling less whilst I was riding it.

If you’re buying it for an ironman and worried about wattage/time you’d be better off with a dedicated TT bike, surely?

It paid off very well indeed thank you.

I had a good spring on the MTB, and a very good summer on the road. I raced both disciplines and placed much higher up than last year.

Currently in a trail running phase but the CX season is NOW, (CrossVegas tomorrow, live stream at 05:30 GMT for the men’s elite), so its back to short hard efforts on the rollers again.

TrainerRoad based sessions helped me improve my FTP quite a lot, not that the equivalent training on the road wouldn’t have, but the ease and convenience of it is remarkable.

So Apple folk, I’ve an iPad and I want to watch Netflix in an easier way then hooking up my laptop with cables everywhere.

Should I buy an Apple TV device now, or is there a new one in the near future that renders the current one redundant?

Yeah respect to those killing themselves over summer on it.

I have no claim over these leagues what so ever, I just felt I should start a league for the Vuelta after winning the TdF one.

    I won’t have the dilemma again….

Good initiative, hard to call ToB this year.

Wiggins to save Sky’s year with California and ToB wins?
