Göteborg area, very near Landvetter airport.

Thanks for posting, agree with a very large amount of that thinking, especially the group training ethos, less so the lack of intervals.

I’m 6.2″ with a 32 in-seam and a have a L Flash with a normal/fair amount of post showing and a 110 stem, so an XL might well be OK, thought I’d want to at least sit on one first to make sure.

Pro cycling top trumps has been a top hit in the house this Christmas. Both my boys have loved them!

That sounds really nice, Lightweights aren’t super deep so they should go well with the thinner tubing of the Volare.

As for SRAM doubletap, well each to their own 😀

Pick a plan like the sweet spot base and go for it.

You don’t need the Sufferfest films, although they are good, the majority of my training is done watching the weekend’s CX via Sporza, or re-runs of old UCI world cup XC races on YouTube.

If you’ve got all the stuff then its a no brainer to give it a go, especially as you can cancel your subs, (and re-start them again), very easily.

Sounds like a nice purchase, although we need to see a picture of them installed on your bike so we can pick them apart, (or at least the carpet, lawn, fence) 🙂

Bald knob at 95% is my default tapping out the blah session that I use.

Generic answer from my perspective for this time of year, reduce the intensity and complete the session. Had it been June and the middle of the racing season I’d have personally hit the numbers for as long as possible.

Hmm more numbers to play with, interesting. Also coming in at 450 to 500 TSS per week for the few sample weeks I decided to upload and test.

No TSS graphing on the basic level but it plays quite nicely with TrainerRoad output files, and slightly less so with Strava ones, (no HR data on running sessions, but as its exporting as GPX then I guess that’s not a real surprise).

Question is, is it worth uploading my data to another site?

    Double thumbs up from me.

The number is somewhat meaningless but if you keep things like tyre pressures consistent then it’s very useful.

Thanks I’ll check it out. Any chance there is a Strava import function?

Interesting that it can interpret running data as well, is that available in the free or paid for version?

What do you use to get the TSS number? Strava premium or Golden Cheetah, as you can’t, as far as I know, use TrainerRoad to create one from a normal Garmin type file.

The Sweet Spot base plans look good to me. Do a plan that you can realistically achieve rather than attempting something way too advanced and failing. For the majority of folks following any of the plans will give them 90% of the benefits of following a plan tailored to their exact needs, and without the cost of getting one created for them.

Nice consistency dirtyrider, what do you don the road/trail to complement that? To answer your question, sort of, I’d say two one hour sweet spot sessions in a day would be better than one longer session if you’re searching for ideas/inspiration.

That’s an impressive amount of TSS a week dirtyrider!

First week of intermediate base two completed. Finished off with Palisade which is 5 * 9 minute over and under intervals for a total of 90 minutes on the rollers.

    Hmmm even more intriguing.

This is excellent news indeed. thanks for the info.

You’re running GripShift and SRAM rear mech with an 11sp 11-40 xtr cassette?

The cranks are factory fitted as OEM products on my Cannondale, so I assume that they are correct.

Anyway I’ll report back after I’ve visited the shop where I bought the bike from.

Went out and bought a new set of Pro hex tools as I didn’t have either 8 or 10mm. The 8 just passes straight through without touching the sides, so it must be 10mm however I’m clearly not applying enough force.

Back to the shop and they can do a couple more small jobs on it at the same time.

8 minute FTP test today to kick off the 2015 season training.

Nice increase to 4.2W/kg, hmmm lovely.

6 week intermediate base plan, then Sufferfest Tour, then MTB plan. Training sorted then.

But 8mm goes straight through and doesn’t match up with anything, so it must be 10mm.

    The-Swedish-Chef

It is 8. Thanks to the LBS.

hmm, says 10mm in the “outer” cap so assumed it was that….

    S1400 cranks on a BB30.

    Right then more leverage required.

    Thanks.

I do my sweatspot and intervals between 80 to 90rpm, which is what I spin on the road, and put out between 300 and 400 at that cadence using gearing down to 53*11

105 rpm gets me to around 600 watts, its here that things get interesting on rollers.

XL, unless its their FitPro range then you might need to go a size bigger.

6,2″ and 73kg’s and wear a lot of their kit in L or XL, or M for racing

I’m amazed that people can’t get enough watts on rollers, what kind of numbers are you putting out?

I’d take his skills over his bike, but unfortunately that ain’t gonna happen, so I’ll have to make do with looking at this:

Thanks, but I’m depressed enough by the whole Astana affair so I’ll avoid the clinic as it might just finish me off.

After reading these articles it seems that I suck because my VO2max is not over 75.

This morning’s productivity has been diminished somewhat now.

Plot spoiler, doesn’t make good reading for Horner.
