Seems expensive, especially compared to your Ritchey, you’re well into full blown custom territory from Engima, Rouke, etc

Anyway back on topic, Scheldeprijs today, gotta love mid week races!

Can we really see anyone other than Kristoff taking this one?

    No Kittel, no Cav.

wow, seems to be huge risk to me.

Every other man and his dog wields a spare wheel above their heads in hope of saving a guys race. How many are going to have a disk one?

Will Mavic have disk wheels on their neutral support bikes?

Bradley’s got permission from the UCI to ride a Disc version of his Pino..

got a source for that? Somewhat surprised to say the least

I’m 1.88 and 73g and a medium is nicely snug as road kit should be.

Yeah I agree blobby, however I’m prepared to give Rapha the benefit of doubt, and they also do have a return policy.

I’ve always found that a higher TPI count always feels better, not necessarily the weight difference.

That said 550/tyre is quite a lot

I’ve got the Sportful Fiandre NoRain jacket and think its bloody good. I use it an awful lot as it can be paired with various base layers from minus 8 to plus 8 very easily.

Quite fancy a Gabba too, but also like the look of the new Rapha Pro Team Softshell Base Layer as an under layer to my race kit for wet days:

Thanks, yes I imagine the signage/route finding would be the biggest issue of doing it outside of the official event.

With the risk of getting a slightly biased answer, are these, (PR included), sportives actually worth doing? As opposed to riding them on your own/with a bunch of mates earlier/later in the week?

Nice wheels, I use a pair and they are very good. Especially at that price

Four and half hours on the road today, more headwinds and sidewinds. Tired legs tonight but an excellent few sessions in the bank over the Easter holidays.

I imagine that when he went he was expecting GVA or G on his wheel, not Kristoff. Once committed I bet he thought he’d drop him on the last climb, having failed at that he sat in as that was the only option left.

Wow that wasn’t how I saw it playing out.

As much as I like the Etixx shutout continuing, Terpstra rode that last 10km perfectly considering the predictability of Kristoff taking the sprint.

Sky seemed totally marked out of it.

Both the Aka and the Saguaro are excellent XC tyres.

Were the MTB brand of Vittoria until this year. Now branded as Vittoria so great deals can be had on the remaining Geax stock.

4 hours of pure headwinds today going point to point. Great training but not a lot of fun solo. Averaged a lowly 27kph. Hope the wind holds for the ride back on Monday.

Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle won PR in ’92 with Rockshox, so clearly there’s something in it.

Very surprised by that Pinarello though

Quite a lot of people did this with Scapels without any issues, as far as I know.

Certainly easy at the front with a Lefty, if there’s space at the back then great.

there are really only 2 races in the entire season for them

I think Patrick Lefevere might disagree [/quote]

See the latest inrng article for that conclusion too:

    Anyway RvV

Yup, Thomas top 5, Greg V A for the win

Unfortunately V02max isn’t really that useful. I can’t use it in a race or training, and there is a very strong line of thought that says you can’t really train it up either as its genetically determined to a greater extent.

Knowing what power I was outputting and what my HR was doing and how much latic my body was producing at set points during the test could be useful if someone was able to explain to me and then base a training/race strategy around those numbers, however i wouldn’t by default assume that the NHS could do that any better than Nick down the road who has 3 international vests and 4 national champ titles to his name.

No one is say they are. However there are really only 2 races in the entire season for them, so we’ll know soon enough how their season has gone.

But as a service 99% of customers would need to know what to do with the results. Yes you have the equipment and ability to perform the tests, but then what?

Surprised by Paolini saying that Brad was going to win PR. Although to be honest I’m starting the think its actually written in the stars that he might well do 😯

Where the hell is his front tyre????

I’m guessing it a Dugast Pipistrello in white, but there seems to be some black in there too which is a little confusing.

Its not a total hatred of Etixx as I love the way Kwiatkowski has raced in the rainbow stripes with real pride, (and Cav clearly). Its more of a dislike of the entitlement that Patrick Lefevere seems to think his team has on all things cobbled, not unlike Sky at the Tour of Britain really.

Anyway for those really wanting to geek out its the Three Days of De Panne starting today, confusingly its four stages over three days. Sir Brad is on the team sheet for Sky.

    http://www.veloclub-depanne.be/home_en.html

David Millar even won the overall in 2010.

Loving the Etixx lockout so far, hope it continues.

Got an odd feeling that Greg V A might pull it off, also find it odd that suddenly team Sky in G have a respected favourite going into a monument, let alone a cobbled one! Another top 5 for him.

Gonna miss Fabs V Tom though, gutted.
