I love my Wingnut! I think the pockets on the side are one it's major plus points, being able to access things without having to take the pack off. I've never had them catch on anything, either. Only had it from August this year, so can't comment on long-term durability, but so far no rips! It's light and even when full it doesn't feel heavy on my back. A bit expensive though.
Hi, I ride with this lot VCGH. Don't let the the roadie name put you off as we have an active MTB section. We do rides on a Sunday morning from Godalming and night rides during the week. If you need any more info than you can email me (email in profile) or just come along one Sunday morning for a ride.
I got my Wingnut Hyper 3 in August and I've been really impressed with it. Loads of storage and I really like the side pockets, which allow easy access without having to taking the pack off. Sits really well on your back as well and I don't notice it there, until my previous pack.
Someone off here also recommended Aroura when I asked a similar question a while back. I didn't follow it through though, but I'd be interested to hear how you get on.
A work colleague went to Morzine recently with a group and one of them rides a SS 29er. By all accounts he managed perfectly and enjoyed himself as much as the others!
Yep, used to! I was the one who come along for a ride about a year back with you and Mike. I was out on a ride with Mike at the weekend and did some of the trails on Pitch/Holmbury. May be catch-up on the BHF ride?
I was there at the weekend and the posts are up, but not signed yet. Apart from the yellow arrows that someone (of here?) has drawn on them, so if you follow these, you won't get lost.
Anyone know if there is somewhere close by to hire an MTB? I'm up in Preston at the weekend and hopefully taking the nephew out for a ride, but he needs to hire a bike first.
Our club has arranged some training sessions with the guys at All Biked Up[/url]. Whilst I haven’t been on one of their course, I know people who have and they’ve been impressed with the training they’ve received. I guess Surrey might be a bit too far for you to travel though!
I have one of their ‘Argyle’ jerseys. The quality is on a par with other brands I’ve bought and I particularly like the 3/4-length zip (not sure if that’s on all of their styles). My only issue was sizing as I went for a medium (37-39″) as I’m normally a 38″ chest, but found the jersey a little tight. Having said that, I’d certainly buy another one.
pjt201 – Thats_not_my_name – where can you get the twin six jerseys in the UK? A quick google didn’t throw up any obvious sources.
I bought mine from Arcvelo in the States. Cost me about £35 in the end, which isn’t bad considering the quality. As someone else mentioned, Russtler import into the UK, but they didn’t have the Argyle jersey when I contacted them.
Glad to here it! I’m in the process of building up my Ti 456, though I did own a steel 456 previously, so kinda know what to expect! I’m just down the road as well (Wormley), so I might see you out on the trails 😉
The WMB review is issue no 91 Jan 2009 and their verdict was – "One of the most uncompromising race bikes we’ve ridden but it’ll rattle you to pieces".
