There seems to be only a few fairly small WT woods near to me, so I’ve no idea about any of WT larger sites but I’ve no interest in wanting to use a woodland nature reserve as a bike park other than using bridleway. They’re not industrial FC plantations after all.
Agree that they shouldn’t be allowed to become a dog bog though.

I’ve had a Velez light smock for about 12 years of regular use and it’s been brilliant. Can’t really say I wash and reproof a great deal either although I’ve had that wet shoulder thing where water is pulled through when wearing a rucksack a couple of times. It does say on the care label that you can use normal detergent or even dry clean if it’s proper filthy as long as you use the tech wash and tx water proofing after.

A bench, barbells and dumbbells. That’s it.

Just have a look on eBay for solar panels, there’s loads. We bought one for our caravan a couple of years ago and it keeps the battery topped up. Think we paid about £130.
All the power we need. Even with my wife’s soap habit on tele.😀

I’ve had the Majority Journey one for a couple of months and it’s pretty good for the money but the stick on aerial is not great for various parts of the valleys where I live.
Where my wife’s car with the proper built in DAB radio loses signal for a couple of seconds, for the Majority, it’s almost a 2 mile radius. I’ve ordered an adapter to connect it to the cars aerial which I’ve heard sorts any large signal problems out.

I’d just got to Southport airshow as he was doing his display and thought he was bloody low after a loop. Then disappeared after that. Close to the pier as well I seem to remember.

He obviously didn’t see it cumming.

I started off as an apprentice painter and decorator in the early 90s and it was all off ladders which were all untethered and you were lucky to have someone foot it for you. Silly heights where your boss had to hire bigger ladders.
It’s one thing climbing up them, but then you have to move around working, one hand on the ladder and the other using a scraper/sandpaper/paint roller. Very bloody twitchy stuff.😬
It was always the gable ends of buildings I hate working on as it’s straight down. No pipes or ledges to grab hold of if your ladder slips or slides to one side.

I almost stood on a Short Eared owl once when out for a walk. Someone had put some bird feeders on the corner of a small pine plantation, so I walked over for a look and this great big bird flew up right under my nose. Effing pooed my pants.😀
Anyway it flew off into the trees and then after a few seconds came back out towards me at head height. Could have almost touched it as it sailed past gawping at me. Just one of those never forget cool moments.

Don’t know many pubs in Lancaster but really like Ye Olde John O’Gaunt. Went to see BC Camplight at the Hebden Bridge Trades club last October and they were superb.

Used to love the Prodigy. Played their first two albums to death. Not really keen on their stuff after that. The new track that’s being played on 6 music makes me cringe as it’s the same stuff they were doing 20 year ago. Maybe It’s just my age.

I’m sure they’re still great live though. Saw them way back in ’95, from what I can remember.😀

Talking of Paramo jackets. The label on mine says to use detergent or dry clean to remove stubborn stains and then do the full Nikwax treatment. I’m assuming that it’s because it’s a different fabric to normal waterproofs.
