Some good news there Malvern Rider.
I wonder if anything will ever be done about hunters blasting migratory birds out of the sky over Malta.
When I first got into the mountain biking world I naively thought that everyone else was into wildlife stuff. Weird I know 😀

Modern versions seem to just hype the kids up. As above the older ones seem more chilled

Agreed. On a similar note, yesterday on 6 musics Rad Mac show, they were talking to Matt Berry and played his cover of the Rainbow theme song. Quite psychedelic😀

Just a load of more faff we’re told we have to buy to faff about with to ride a push bike. I don’t like faffing about.
I’ve never used one by the way but I bet it’s a load of faff.😀

Have had a Mini Rig for a few years now and love it. The battery lasts ages as well. Not cheap at £130 though. They’ve a new more powerful one now.

We had 6 chickens and 2 ducks. Certainly wouldn’t have ducks again. I sunk a kids sand pit into the pen to have a splash about in, which was fun watching but the water needs changing every day and it bloody stinks. Noisy as well.
Chickens were no trouble really once they’d settled in so we could let them out of the pen into the garden. They weren’t really interested in the plants, just the slugs and snails which they’d chase each other for. The eggs of course, were fantastic.

If the seat post is aluminium and the frame is steel. Then caustic soda will melt it away easily. Quite impressive when I did it. Just be careful with it.

With those legs, I thought some sort of pond skater.

Opticron Vega 8 x 25 can be had for £55 on Amazon. I had some for free after joining the BTO years ago. Excellent bins I just kept in glove box or back pack. Much preferred them my to larger ones.

Anyone remember Mach 3 laser disc fighter jet game? I was a bit too young to know it was any good or not but I thought it looked amazing.

You could try dabbing it with milk. That got some ink marks out of a light blue hoody I had. Bloody witchcraft.

There were four Cobham Dassault Falcon flying in the same area as Voyager earlier today. Probably on the same training exercise.

Noticed the Voyager too, just to the East of us over the Pennines. A few survey planes flying around backwards and forwards North West England and North Wales this morning. Maybe they’re just standing out more.

    This mornings hour.
    4 Blue Tit
    3 Dunnock
    3 Robin
    4 Gold Crest
    3 Blackbird
    1 Wren
    1 Great Tit
    2 Goldfinch
    1 Coal Tit
    2 Long Tailed Tit
    3 Jackdaw
    2 Wood pigeon
    1 Magpie
And Percy Pecker the racing pigeon. Called round with his burd today.😁

Built another bird box yesterday with the help of our youngest and already have interest from Blue Tits. We’ve put out a peanut feeder stuffed with the finest miniature Poodle fluff which they’ve been taking.

I don’t like them either. It’s the sort of stuff I remember being played at wedding anniversaries I went to as a kid. Don’t like Kate Tempest either.😁

Not had mine cut since a week before Christmas 😬. I hate waiting in the barbers if there’s more than two waiting. I was desperate for a cut at the end of February but caught a cold so stayed away and then all this kicked off.
Think I’ll have to be brave and let the wife shave the back and sides. Quite like it long on top, and I’ve always got a hat.😀

I’m surprised I haven’t had anything from Dyfi Events about the Dyfi Enduro.

Same here. Keep looking on their website for any update. Bloody hope it doesn’t get cancelled.

These pictures remind me of a lane we cycled along near Colne, Lancs. It’s a ford crossing but you have to ride along the lane/river for about 50 metres or so. Took us a couple of minutes to work it out.😁

Wonder how many other events get cancelled. Hopefully not the Dyfi.

Something a bit different. How about Morecambe cross bay guided walk? It’s about 8 miles with a couple of river crossings. She could do it for charity or just tag along. Our little one is 7 in May and wants to do it with the older ones this year.

Really like the look of those Nissan Elgrand. Got me thinking that one could be a replacement for my old Disco seeing as they’re 4×4. So long as I can get a tow bar.

Bloody brilliant news LeeW. Wife and I foster and have had a couple of kids go on to be adopted, so very pleased it went so smoothly for you. We’ve two siblings who are staying with us long term for now. Our eldest (15) is due to land in New York any minute on a week long school trip which he’s been super excited about. I’ve been showing his 6 year old sister where he is using Flight Radar tracker.
    Made my day reading this.👍

    2 Blue Tit
    1 Wren

    1 Feral Pigeon

Didn’t see the gang of Long Tailed Tits, Goldcrest or the one legged female Blackbird.😀

Forgot about this so thanks. Kids enjoy it. We’ve been having plenty of birds in the garden recently so you can guarantee they will all be hiding come the weekend.😀
I’ll make sure I’ll do the garden wildlife health as well. Can’t remember the last time I saw or heard a Green Finch.

So, what tyres do you recommend? For a hardtail on 26″ skinny Hope XC rims. Although this’ll be my fourth time, I’ve never given tyres much thought but I had to quit half way the last time after my rear tyre blew up. So I don’t want that happening again.

Is that the bridge that a lorry hit and has been propped up for a couple of years?

Thanks all. We didn’t have time to go and get any of the things that’s been suggested today but I’ve had a quick go with some old T Cut metallic stuff I found and it’s fetching it off with a shed load of rubbing. Will get a clay bar tomorrow, which I have used before on my car to get rid of tar spots but ended up just using white spirit.(not arsed about my car)😀
Better still, our neighbour has sent us a clip from his CCTV and shows the scrote who we all knew who did it. Plus two other dopey feckers.

Yeah thanks Cougar. That’s why I thought I’d wait and ask first. Google throws up a few different ways to remove it. I went out to the car a while later and my finger nail easily brought a bit off. Seems to be just shite rattle can stuff they’ve robbed from BuM Bargains. Thankfully the car hasn’t been washed for a month.😀

Well we all thought both episodes were brilliant. Easily the best stuff over Christmas. Our six year old was hoping that it’s on tomorrow.☹️
Even the teenagers loved it after dragging themselves away from their new Xboxswitch.

I’ve seen plenty of Red Wing this winter. Which is nice. Hoping to see Waxwing again this year as I saw them for the first time a couple of winters ago. Smaller than I thought but easy to get close. Unsurprisingly, since they live out in Scandinavian forests most of the year, and will see no one.

Thanks. Haven’t seen it. Looking forward to Mackenzie Crook’s take on Worzel Gummidge tomorrow as well.
