Mr Woppit, why are you so bothered about this? Haven't you got work to do or something?

Don't think you'd be able to ride it either.

Been a while since I rode it (carried my Pro Flex up rhyd ddu and down the llanberis path in 96) but I've run it (Snowdon Race) a few times and there's gonna be some pushing for sure.

Must be hard being you PP. Having to deal with eejit after eejit every day…even if they are nice chaps. Can you get a job at Oxbridge, where you can deal with people who'll understand you better?

I work in the Ox part of Oxbridge. They're nice chaps, and pretty clever. And still have trouble signing forms in the right place.

It makes me feel superior, not annoyed. You should try this approach PP.

I reckon it's got something to do with the way you ride changing.

When I was a kid (even up to uni) I could bunnyhop on flats, manual, whatever.

Now I'm not as good at this kind of riding, but I'm loads fitter and faster.

When I was younger I'd go for short rides and session bits, now I go out on my roadbike or for long MTB rides. Just different I guess.

Or maybe mountain biking is becoming golf and people don't have those skills, just Audis and Santa Cruzs?

YOU NEED TO BUY IT if you haev any faith in idependent music!

Which of course RATM are. Very independent. They stick it to the man by being part of Sony BMG – just like Simon Cowell and the X Factor single.

    Yeah you show them!

By supporting a Sony artist, not that X-factor rubbish and Simon Cowell, who are also on Sony.

    Oh, hang on a minute…………

Well at least you got some good scars!!??

Nerve stretches are a bit weird to get your head around but should make a difference, and loads of calf exercises will help, but it sounds like you're on top of this.

Just takes a while to build back up, but there's a fair few pro athlete's who have this.

Don't know much about the UK Armed forces but they have the Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine in the US thats doing a lot of work on CS.

No tips on getting skinny though sorry!

    No worries Renton.

Have you had surgery or treated it with massage etc?

Well worth trying to see a Consultant in Sports Medicine if your treatment isnt going as well as you hope.

Pretty frustrating injury but it's got a good recovery rate so once again good luck.

    Alright Renton,

Compartment syndrome is not nice, and it's not obvious to Medical Science what causes it – some people are just disposed to it and exercise of any sort makes it worse until you get it sorted, so good luck with that.

I'd ignore Ti29er, who has no grip on reality if he can't understand this basic medical issue.

He's an odd bloke who flounced off from BikeMagic when his constant boll##ks (he invented 29ers, he's the fastest rider EVER) was pointed out to him.

Good luck with the weight loss.

No way should you pay for it.

You should sue them for everything they've got as it's quite likely that you will drop dead fairly soon as the slivers of carbon make their way towards your heart.

Fishermen are murderers. I'm off to phone the Mail and start a campaign to ban this scum.

What you have to remember with Ti29er is that he INVENTED 29er bikes in this country. And if you don't like them you are an idiot.

And he has a lovely Lynskey Ti bike. If you dont like this you are an idiot.

Oh, hang on its an On One.

But it is the best bike EVER.

I believe you have ridden every bike EVER as well to come to this conclusion?

Pleased to see you put as much effort into wiring up your tape decks and that.

Because you've never fallen for marketing hype, oh no………..

Had some of the 9% IPA from Sainsbury's, think its called Hardcors, 4 for a fiver or something. Taste test – bit strong to be honest, little bit Special Brew.

Got a bottle of the Heather Honey waiting (actually its the Mrs's) so will try it and report back.

    My commuting enemies:

Pedestrians: stepping out without looking, prompting the most near misses.

Drivers (buses and cars): touch wood had no problems.

Cyclists: knocked off me bike by another cyclist.

So I conclude that the most dangerous cocks out there are people on bikes.

    Bummerman,

seeing as you're obviously a bit slow, I'll spell this out for you:

    I WAS TAKING THE PI$$.

I'm well aware of the irony of calling another hobby dull compared to MTB, but thanks for pointing it out.

seriously, just because you can't read doesn't make someone else shit.

Despite it being rather dull and boring, I find myself strangely drawn to clicking onto this thread, only to find nothing of any interest. You could say that it's becoming a bit of a hobby of mine, it's certainly rather dull.

    I totally agree.

I would have thought it was very obvious that you'd have to be a complete idiot not to appreciate that the skill and artistry of a good photo. And recognise when someone's winding you up.

So its not photography that's the problem, it's photographers.

Right then, riding around on bikes with stupid sized wheels. What's that all about?

I guess that's why no one bothers having pictures of their family.

I bet you'd feel more emotion if it was a lovingly crafted portrait.

Or if Timmy was taking the photos.

Thought you were a bit touchy about the photos thing. Hadn't realised you were a "winner". Oooh look at the shiny car. Well done.

I wasn't being entirely serious about photography.

But you have to admit its a bit odd to be obsessing about your settings when you're faced with a stunning scene. You could say dull.

And, Timmy, to educate you a little, the use of mechanical devices to attempt to capture emotions and feelings is, quite honestly, misguided.

Photography has its value in documentation, but its not art.

Even if that is what you tell your "models".

Right now I'm fascinated with geometry.
Take a great image. Now overlay this with tracing paper. Now draw all the various traingles (how many can you even name?!), rhombuses, rhomboids and parallelograms; these in particular I'm fascianted by, both in nature and in the man-made world. Squares and circles are too regular and are "boring"!
Trapezoids so oft' lead the eye into an image, towards your subject matter, likewise rhombus shapes.
This is just a snap-shot of where photography can lead you – not some half-wit comment from a Luddite (see one post several above)

Good work on proving photography's not dull.

I would have tried using, I dunno, a photo to show this.

You must have been really awful or terminally lacking in attention to find photography "dull"!
And I love Terry's half-witted reply: "People into photography appear to be autistic sex pests, obsessed with numbers, f-stops, and phots of birds with no interest in them"

    What a Stupid man.

    Why are you so bothered?

You're not one of those weirdy blokes taking "art" photos are you?

If you are, I've changed my mind, its not dull. You're exactly right. I'm stupid.

    I'm going to start a blog, that'll out-dull photography.

Maybe I'll tell the world what kind of a riding god I am.

Excellent. Perhaps these people can maybe interact with 'the real world' for a while.

Twitter really is a massive pile of horse sh1t.

Posting that on here isn't really interacting with the real world either though is it?

But like calling someone a nerd when you're dressed up like Captain Kirk.

And how will I let people know I've gone somewhere in my imaginary 4×4 (Audi Q7) to buy chips.

    Well?
