Keep an eye out for a discounted frame from the Sonder outlet store on eBay. A couple of months ago I picked up a Frontier from them for £150 as it had a small paint chip on the head tube. No bidding required as BIN price.

    Edit: Alpkit outlet

Is the IS mount correctly aligned and paint free? I had a frame that had a noisy rear brake. This was caused by a missing “chunk” of paint on the mount causing the caliper to be slightly miss aligned.

How well is that coupling on the soil stack sealed, could it be leaking above ground?

Not tried this, but would a smear of neutral cure silicone around the valve rubber before tightening help?

There are a number of “squeeze” stile designs that will allow bicycles and pedestrians through, but not livestock or motorcycles.

We’ve used barley straw to keep the algae under control. Won’t reduce the sludge though, so I raised the pump off the bottom of the pond so it wasn’t clogging up the filter.
I have been scooping some of the sludge out gradually by hand. Looks great now.

I had a Saturday job at the local Woolworths record counter. The sales desk was located at the back of the shop and had a good view all the way to the front of the store. I watched as a tall slim man wearing a baggy jumper became a tall fat man wearing a tightly fitting jumper – He had shoved a double duvet under his knitted garment, and was trying to make his way unnoticed off the premises. The store security had other ideas!

Demolition sites are a great source for 6×2 and 4×2 timber. I’ve rescued loads of lengths before they were thrown on the site bonfire or crushed into a skip.
A bit of de-nailing and a good soaking of timber treatment and they are good for re-use.

Tried to stay out of the sun as much as possible by keeping to the woodland paths. Still very humid on Saturday, day ended with rumbling thunder and lightning!

During my early teens, I spent many happy hours using my neighbours pool, as did most of the kids in our street. The pool was a lovely temperature pretty much all year.
One day we found out why the pool was so well heated- my friends dad had bypassed the gas meter and was heating it for free!
Unfortunately we found this out because of a gas leak that was discovered by a cleaner who was working in the house. She called the gas company, who surprisingly didn’t like what they saw!
Pool was cold and not as popular after that.

The only seatpost that has ever failed on any of my bikes was the carbon post on my cx bike. The bike came to a sudden skidding halt after my plums were wedged between the rear tyre and seat-stays. 😫

I’ve used a pair of DMR supermoto’s on my towpath/pub bike. Not you usual “gravel bike” tyre, but the work!
Picked them up new from eBay a few years back.

    Edit: new improved!!

I’m a fan of Comma LHM+ Halfords sell it for about £9/l
Used it without any leaking seal issues for a good few years. Once even used 3in1 no problems 😄

Acetone might work, as it can be used for cleaning up grp resin tools. Not certain that the acetone would penetrate the join though :(

Daughter borrowed my coat, I couldn’t find the coat when I needed it a couple of days later…Found it thrown on the floor of her bedroom with the random selection of clean and dirty clothes that is her Floordrobe!

A work colleague of mine specialises in broken cats. He has seven cats all with limbs/eyes/ears missing. The cats all have the best life with loads of love to share.

I hope your little cat is on the mend soon

EDIT: the cats were all injured before my colleague looked after them! 😻

I had a similar problem with a Giant “D” shaped seat post, solved with a whittled down rubber doorstop :D
