Don’t know what I spend but it won’t be any more than about £250 for food in a month as I shop in bulk at Costco, divide the meat and freeze and get your chums to rear lambs and pigs for the freezer. Then buy fresh stuff from the market and bake, just had pumpkin curry, home grown, whopper, we’ll be eating it for weeks yet. Got 4 chickens that lay 28 eggs a week too. Spend Family Allowance on Gin….

They are only loud when you have knobbly tyres on bike, use smooth ones and prob sorted.

Janome, they are widely available and parts are cheap. They are easy to use especially if you don’t get the computer sort. I’ve had one for 18yrs, no probs. I’ve just repaired a horse blanket with it, multiple layers if fabric, tape etc, no sweat!

Ask an architect technician, they won’t cost as much.

Kids need sugar. Why Wheetabix without sugar, it’s Yck, they need complex and simple sugars. Cherios are ok but porridge with sugar/syrup/honey is a good start to the day, you don’t have to shovel it on. Or try stewed fruit in porridge or my troops like homemade rice pudding for brekkie. Don’t stress about mess, just take lots of photo’s. You got kids, you will never have a tidy home again 😀

Isn’t it time for brocolli, sprouts etc? I was advised by TV gardener the other day to plant seeds in a greenhouse (flowers in this case) as they put down stronger roots and do better in the ground next year. I’ll give it a go.

I think the cycle route that goes round Preston is nearly complete.

I like tea, drink tea, make tea. I'm a girl. Simple, and dull, as that.

Spouse became addicted to it for nearly 2 years, slept on sofa for most of it as I got hacked off at being woken up when he came to bed at 3,4,5am. Came to ultimatum, either cancel it or cancel his week of climbing, it was that serious. Still, I did gain a cuddly electric blanket out of it 🙂

Find a cave on the beach, take a picnic and spades and waterproof clothing and let them dig to their hearts content. Usually a big hole to put Daddy in. Simple pleasures!

Dairyland is excellent but very busy on wet days.
