With young babies, just wrap them up so they can't get their arms out, just as they are in t'womb, makes 'em feel secure. Swaddling!

Yep, I heard, spotty ones, teddy ones…..

Will Tesco politely request biking types dressed in muddy gear to leave the building next? I'll be keeping an eye out for PJ clad people in Tesco's from now on, it's bound to become a sport!

We may try it soon as we've chums (teachers mainly) who love it and keep going back. Don't know what the biking's like but the camping right next to the beautiful beach sounds lovely and there is some good climbing, apparently.

Look at it another way, Frank has a chaotic life but is the main focus of his family and his kids are all loyal to him. They are all survivors and appear to be successful in their own haphazard ways. This is the whole of society wrapped up in one family.

Been up on the Red today, most is ok but there are intense muddy bits on the way up to that Black slabby bit right at the top of the hill. Didn't do swoopy canyon as it looked too slippy for the lasses. Bits of slush left here and there but not dangerously slippy. Plenty of people around. Fog in the valleys around the forest that was freezing but the forest was lovely!

    Get yourself up there!

The back of the Chevin is on a great route I do. It goes though Belper, Hazlewood and drops into Milford via Jacksons Lane which is a fantastic rocky descent to finish off at the pub.

Yep it's good but way too short, 20min job but you land near The Holly Bush in Milford so you are rewarded.

Check out the Vet at Riverside Surgery, Scott, he's keen. Fink he's a member of the Matlock Crew. Lots of routes round Ambergate, Crich, Carsington and down to Derby. No big hills tho'.

I used to live in Belper and he showed me a few routes, not that much TBH but good for training. North Yorks? now thats ace.

I've got an Acoustic Research turntable, in the garage, if anyone fancies it. It was a fine piece of equipment and I'm going to sell it.

As others have said, esp M-F, he speaks common sense.
I've had 3 children, my daughter slept through from day 7 and still does, now 10, my boys on the other hand always woke up hungry so making sure they had supper and milk, bring the wind up they went off bed. When they woke during the night it was pick up, check nappy, into my bed, attach child to breast then everyone fell asleep. They grew out of it, eventually, but I wouldn't have done it any other way. Now they sleep all night and I wake them each morning, I have never had early risers which I couldn't have coped with.

I have issues with the 11+ around here. It's a dreadful setup and divides parents. The pressure to 'get your child tutored' is great with the black market in tutoring alive and growing and the local kids that support the grammar schools in our town amount to only 28%, the rest come from out of area as they attract more state funding. Would you say that's a fair system?

Erm, yes, me. Turbo only and not enough on that, weather, kids, work, under the weather are my excuses. Now next week should be my chance, just need a kick.

Autarky in past and vastly cheaper than glenp pays, get it from Costco at about £12. Now using Chudleys at around £17 for huge sack, 15kg. I have 2 retrievers, oldest is now nearly 15 and never shelled out megabucks on Iams etc and all my dogs live for this long. At the mo' Chudleys have 'buy 6, get 7th free' at our WCF, Skipton

If breastfeeding, you'll need loads of breast pads and milk collector for the other side when feeding. This means you can collect some milk, freeze it and leave it for someone else to feed baby with when you feel you can go out for a few hours. Oh, and a breast pump comes in very useful!

Also a book by Penelope Leach, Your Baby and Child, it's a common sense bible

Hey, I'm quite sure noone would think that of you xherb, if you fancy a northern branch of the 'youngish and free riders' then I could sort something out, I know a few eligible souls.

Well, if I lived nearer I'd 'crash' the ride as it sounds like it's going to be such fun! I'm not single but can remember what it's like.

Remember, feel the fear and do it anyway! All the hesitant riders out there, just go along, it's sounds like a great big hug.

And, yes, we want a group photo!
