I have two packs of RF short bolts new in packets if you’re interested as of no use to me since my build as ordered two spare packets not realising that my atlas cranks came with a set in box the correct length.

Message me if in need :)

Exactly DanW which is why the op should check out the bikes for sale as ex demo/display on Silverfish’s site.

@ junkyard – not onone as they are a larger outfit that are purely for profit.

The warehouse I worked in was a charity with major flaws owned by a twisted narcissistic couple whose greed meant me leaving when I started, I were expecting to help children in Africa to travel miles to schooling by bicycle not by foot!
A complete mockery of the public that donate along with many volunteers time including my own.
Wiggle used to donate thousands of stock items shop soiled stuff which the owners of said charity cashed in on.

Ooooo I feel a separate thread coming on.

Let’s get a little perspective on this for a mo!

Part for fork ordered, item is stored in a warehouse , yes a WAREHOUSE!
What part is the op not registering that anything to do with bikes, parts and tiny pieces of plastic/metal/rubber is highly difficult to get to in a hurry even if the WAREHOUSE is well organised.

Basically having worked for a warehouse in the bicycle charity form, I fully understand how Richie and his team feel having located your piece of desired material item to then send on to you as you paid the postage, all’s fair.

A little compassion for those/us mere mortals who work in the bike trade as they also have to do a load more tasks than specifically finding just your item.
Of course they’re might be teething issues with the whole Mojo deal breaking off to Silverfish and that’s ok, because guess what life doesn’t run any smoother than your so called bloody forks. Phew, at least that cider is kicking in now to allow me to type this.

    IT REALLY NEEDN’T BE SAID

Read the threads(s) about XT dropping the chain when back pedalling.

    HTH

Yeah after a couple of complete back turns but let’s face it you should be pedalling for forward momentum 8O

I would genuinely echo what PJM has mentioned.
I was a bit sceptical bout my new bike coming with 11-42T as they give an option for 11-46T but it’s what was fitted already so cba and am liking giving it a try.

Next time I might be thinkng/looking at a larger range cassette.

Can we have a clue as to which riding genre it is, i.e. xc, trail or dare I say road?

Have incredible patience with douchebag buyer’s who hit you with silly questions and douchebag vendors that want to advertise at more than what is recommended by you the agent.

Oh and be prepared for lots of needless journeys when viewers don’t turn up.
    The list is really endless.

Fun line of work but shocking at same time.

I musta got unlucky as I was treated like a guineapig with my new’un.
Plus the fault I experienced is documented largely as a problem on many bikes of theirs.

Like I said shame as they are good when working.

Likewise! Nice1 jam bo for the info.
Yeah I’m no where near at pace with what Matt and other guys look capable of.
I’m a fair old chunk and want to revive my biking back to a decent level.

So let me understand your point correctly, you’re stating on the internet for all to listen that ypu have slack rubber.

At a guess, I’d say you were unlucky in the trouser dept. Either that or Durex suddenly made extra large condoms, which I doubt, which is why… :P

KTM – yeah right only when they’re working but mere mortals cannot simply afford a mechanic to fix them every 5 mins when they suffer with faults from factory.

I gotta admit I miss my original one that was 2nd hand and had been sorted as best as poss, had good times!
    New one completely different story.

Shame so Triumph in the future is looking likely, basically a bike that’s far more reliable and passes qc with a reasonable standard of inspection than other brands.

It’s also worth doing advanced training too which just gives you more insight and confidence into how to ride properly and get aquainted with a larger capacity bike.

    Enjoy!

Let’s just say I literally punched myself a decade ago for buying one of his albums, it was that low ebb sounding/feeling I felt immediately from listening to it. Then I was caught out by one of his new tracks other day then heard another in the car today and felt like driving off the road.

Go figure/make of it what you will/bada bing bada boom!

Only gotta look and hear FOD that an element of truth to what baromam says.

But that is tarring all trail centre areas with the same brush plus FOD is soooo worth a visit plus it’s a bonus if someone tries it on with my or mates bikes as a good fisticuff would ensue.

+1 on the Scott brand trail skin type with D30 protection stuff.
Think my Scott knee and elbows are called soldier 2s.

Have yet to test them in a crash (famous last words anyone) but they seem unobtrusive as mentioned above and comfy.

I were going to go Dainese as previous kit has been but thought I’d jump ship try something different.
The D30 material gets firmer e.g. more protective the harder it is being hit as I experimented on my brother.

Having just moved to “Tavi”, it sure is a revelation from my previous situation where I were based. Folk definitely seem friendlier on face value etc but this I’ve known as visitor for many years now.
My big bros been living around true SW for a long time already so was only natural to follow them on down here.

If anyone wouldn’t mind me tagging along for rides around here, you’d be doing me a favour as I wanna meet likeminded riders and ditch solo riding as much as poss nowadays. Gives me good reason not to duck out of a ride.

I’m gonna drop jam bo a message sometime as iirc he I saw is based in “TavI” too.

Wanting a new saddle but iirc I don’t get on that great with sdg as they are not comfy no real padding and bend easily in admittedly tricky situations = crashes.

Maybe I’m getting cynical, but this thread would be great for any bike thieves wanting to lure some unsuspecting mountain biker to somewhere remote before relieving them of their pride and joy. #buzzkill

I’m guessing you’ve forgotten that when riding, we as a biking community tend to stick together.
Bitd, was good times to be had meeting randoms and becoming riding buds, now it drifts in and out of the biking community on/off line.

Yeesh! Ops post is describing how too I am feeling especially as having moved to Devon recently so don’t know anyone to ride out with yet. I do put a good front on even though I’ve had a rollercoaster of a life and wouldn’t have been here typing this now unless it were for bikes and some sort of assistance.

We all have a story to share and be good to offload and go create some tyre tread indentations through the winter as to train to get fitter for next year’s finer weather/trails.

If anyone’s in the Plymouth area and wants to check out trails round my way, enjoy good Co. and good cuppa after a dirty sess outdoors :P

Drop a message to my inbox if you’re in Devon, be real good to create a regular group.

Tags thread as my new rsc set on 180mm rotors feel utter shite compared to my old first gen rsc set on 160mm rotors.

Sticky lever/master which is dead feeling and doesn’t cut the mustard, I’m hacked off as I upgraded on new bike to these over xts cause I was so impressed by the modulation and power on my 160mm rotors set.

Shoulda gone Hope probably but hindsight is a errrrmmm wonderful thing or not…

P.s. I believe my older set have metallic compound pads and the newer set feels organic I reckon.

Ordered some RF shorts the other day and wow, I thought Troy lee Dees were decent.
The pure quality of the RF ones blow the tlds outta the water but no liner but,,, a chain ring bolt as spare and a sticker.

The sizing definitely come up larger on waist although I chose a larger size due to no stock of blue ones in my ideal size.
Now they’ve all gone iirc and with good reason!

The Evoc packs are really very nifty bits of kit
