I’m sure most of those albums are great, but I’ve not heard of most of them. Surely there can’t be a “best” album, only a favourite album of 2010.

Hob Nob +1. I went down the same route with my X-Control
    http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/new-bike-lapierre-x-control-310

Ended up with a lighter better specced bike than the next model up the chain for less money.

I’m 6′ and ride a 46cm x-control. Its spot on for me, but given the choice I prefer frames on the small size. If I was your hieght it would be a 50cm for sure. But deff at least have a sit on both. a proper ride would be better.

There can be some confusion. After climbing Whites and heading towards the wall descent you have to ignore the W2 sign that would send you on the final descent. Just keep on going.

Thanks for the replys, and the offer mackem. I need to slide the dropouts back and for to tension the chain so I can’t see Jamze fix working for me. I’m not the oricinal owner but I might contact Orange anyway. If not I’ll push the dropouts right forward and use a tensioner. My S/S phases usually only last a month or two, so there’s no point throwing to much money at the problem.

The Ford one in my Mondeo does the same. It gets better if I leave it on one channel ( radio 2 ). But as soon as I change radio 2 keeps ghosting in for a split second.

Taxi – sorry, should have said, also depends how you ride. (oh, and how much exposed seatpost you need too)

As said plenty strong enough for me especially on my full suss xc bike. If your on a h/t and have a habit of sitting down over bumbs and not pedaling it might not be. Everyones got to find what kit works best for them. But not all light stuff is fragile there’s some good light stuff out there.

KCNC sc-pro and a Sell.Ital slr-xp 385gms. plenty strong enough for me and I’m over 13st. I cant see the point in weighing the bike down for no reason.

You just proved the point ! You’ve got a great bike for £3336 at well under the component cost. The Se at £4400 seems to be over component cost!!!!! Go figure

I only wait the minimum now and put in the non payment claim. Like tonyd I’ve had all the excuses for not paying, dead relatives etc, not one of them has payed in the end.

Talybont-on-usk is one of my favourites. You can camp at Talybont farm right in the village, get pizzed at the Star Inn on good real ale. Its also the natural place to start the Gap ride. What more could you want ?

I had 130m fox talas’s on mine. The bike benefited with them being wound down for climbing. Not sure I’d fancy a fixed 160mm, but perhaps other people think differently.

Well shot and some stunning scenery. But not my kind of riding at all! The riders are much more skillful than me, but you could find riding like that in any old quarry. If I climbed all the way up there it would have to be swooping single track all the way down.

I ordered one of these from here.
    http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id256.html

On the 10/10/10 and it came today. I didn’t get charged duty or vat either so it was a lucky day for me.

I’m just waiting on this now

    So I can fit it.
The original isn’t worn out, but it’s a bit creaky and with my upgraditis I had to change it.

I’ll be returning to the South Wales league for race #3 and my 2nd of the season at Penperlleni, Pontypool.

I’ll be there as well. If you fancy a cuppa look out for a yellow vw t4 camper van.

Rob Warner was one of the presenters. Didn’t do a bad job, the jumping into the lake on the bikes was funny.

I didn’t get a proper test ride. Just tried it for size in Tredz Cardiff. They wouldn’t do a deal so I ended up getting one from Formby cycles in Mersyside. A bit of a gamble realy but I’m not dissapointed. I would have gone for a carbon framed one as well but they were a bit to pricey for me at the moment. If you do get one spend a bit of time setting up the rear suspension. I set mine up in the middle of the sag indicator then play around with the rebound a bit. You need to get the right adjustment to get the best out of the suspension.

Whoa!!! I can’t even imagine why this is a problem. I always race other cyclists. If their in front I want them behind me, end of. If someone comes past me its game on but I get dropped all the time, the world is full of people faster than a 50yr old cabbie, but I don’t care. Honestly to save my life, I can’t see why the OP is botherd about all of this.

I’ve had an x-control 310 for a couple of months now.

    http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/new-bike-lapierre-x-control-310

The riding you describe is just what I do. For the job it’s the best bike I’ve ever had. If you can’t afford the dearer model there’s loads of weight to be shifted just changing the bar, seat post, saddle and cassette

It seems to me mattjng is being very fair. The seller is the post offices customer so he should be doing the chasing. All the buyer can do is phone his sorting office to see if anything is there. No excuses for the seller in these things if he isn’t talking you have to assume the worst.

Results all up now. Only problem, everyone who signed up for 100k but did 60k or cut the course short ( some did accidently ) have their times listed in the 100k results. A bit flattering for some. Good job it wasn't a race.

Don't know for sure, But talking to someone who did the short route in under 4hrs, he reckoned someone came past him at about 100mph a good few miles from the finish !!!! Just have to wait and see if that was true.

bikeywikey. I thought realy hard about getting the zesty. But in the end I'm a bit passed it now and won't be jumping of big things or hammering hard into realy rough stuff. I've had a couple of rides now and its smooth and fast just the job for marathons and the riding I do.

Mooman. He's out of shot but theirs a big bloke with a shotgun covering the bike.

It does sound a lot !!! But what would be the right price ? I suppose they know the situation your in and charge accordingly. Wasn't there any chance of Skyline repairing your mates wheel ? Bits could be a problem I suppose.

Once A put TV in lounge he accepts its for communal use. B and C accept this and use it even on a limited basis. Surely if any communal item breaks the repair bill should be split by A,B and C.

You can never know for sure, but I always assume this I've been ill thing is just an excuse. For most people, being ill and off work would give you more time to get something posted. I'm 50 and apart from a stay in hospital I've never been confined to a bed for a whole week.
