Take bike fits with a pinch of salt. Mate of mine wants a Orbea Orca, bike fit says 53cm but when he sits on one its way to big !! Cue big argument with shop and cancelled order. Moral of the story you’ve got to try before you buy.

Sort of hybrid mtb-cyclocross thing. Multiple short cyclocross length laps but much more technical ( you’d need a mtb to do well ).

I think I know what you mean. A road bike isn’t always the best around town bike. But if you push harder on the pedals it will go faster.

NHS for me. But I can pick and mix with my dentist. If I want something done like a white filling I just pay extra.

I’ve given you kudos. Steep old hill that one ! Takes a bit of bottle to keep of the brakes and let it run.
But being a cancer survivor perhaps you’ve lost that fear of death.

I’m going premium. you don’t get much extra for your money, but for strava as a whole its good value and without revenue they might fold and that would be a shame. :(

Picked an old bloke up once. Came out on a zimmer frame, he must have been 80+. He wasn’t going to the local day centre, he had to go to the magistrates court to make a compensation payment due to some bloke he glassed in a pub fight !
Ended up dropping him off at one of Cardiffs toughest pubs. No doubt he was going into start more trouble.
I wouldn’t want to fight him.

I’d have one at £200 let alone $200

If you gave me £200 i’d take one and give it away to the first person I saw. Looks like my idea of bicycle hell !!!

Don’t know about any box ? Its a dead straight bit of road. The segment starts after the mini roundabout and ends just before the bridge. If this segment is dangerous so is EVERY flat urban segment ! You might aswell get rid of all of them.

I agree you should be able to flag sections and the one mrmo describes seems fair enough. But this section has none of that. Apart from a 30+mph kom.

Didn’t check the link. Its the “bridge road sprint”. A bit pointless closing it down people just recreate it under a different name. Only thing then you get loads of identical sections cluttering up the place.

Recently bought a s/hand carbon road frame of ebay. Like the op/s it was half price and pretty new. Preffered to pay via paypal. That way I could take my time examining it, if I’d felt unsure I could have shown it to other people for another opinion. Collecting in person and paying cash, I would have been in their house having made a long drive having to make a quick decision. As it happens I have a great frame for a good price.

Willing to bet if you said nothing the stoker would never notice. Once they’re aware it would feel instantly wrong.

Deff. go for the caravan. But make sure it’s not so big it won’t fit on your drive or outside your house. Holydays apart, they make a fantastic bolthole to get away from the kids, wife etc. Your only yards away but if they don’t know your in there, you could be anywhere, brilliant. :D

Both those links you have posted refer to stories in which police officers as individuals have taken legal action, not the institution as a whole.

Thats correct, but as these officers are part of the whole its why I no longer respect the institution as a whole. Just those officers ( the large majority ) who don’t IMO drag their proffesion into the gutter.

I think the days of having to respect the police are long gone. I respect some individual officers tremendously, but not the institution as a whole.

I’ve got the Chris Ward one with a stainless band on order. Not that I dive, just because I like the look of it. A bit different from most other dive watches.

Local councils rules regarding taxi licences are often archane and don’t take into account modern employment laws and human rights legislation. I can’t see how if this went to a proper court the refusal to renew his licence would be upheld.
To give you an example, in Cardiff there used to be a rule that 2 children under 5 counted as 1 in a cab. My taxi is licenced for 4 passengers, so when I wouldn’t pick up a woman and her 5 children she complained. The pitchforks were out for me, untill the police confirmed that I could have been prosecuted if I had picked her up. The council backed down but they werern’t happy that the law got in the way of their rules.

Bike fit is important, but the majority use standard size frames, but there are a number of riders who like a custom fit.
Crashes with motorbikes and team cars do happen but their all very experienced and it doesn’t happen to often.
Commissairs are the refferies and police the race. Drafting behind team cars is against the rules but is often tolerated in the interest of having a sporting race. Drafting behind a motorbike to establish a break would be jumped upon straight away, not to say they don’t grap a sneaky pull as the bikes go by.

Pepper spray is illegal, classed as a firearm I believe. If your bit of wood was intentionally carried as a weapon then thats an offence as well. So yes you might get in trouble. Not to say you can’t defend yourself though. Somehow !!!

As you mention ex wives your probably of a more mature age, so perhaps your date is aswell. In that case flowers are spot on. In any case if she doesn’t appreciate the thought, she’s probably not worth a third date.

Annoying as it is for the OP ( I’ve had the same thing ) Honestly how many people would leave a note with their details, and put up with the hassle and expense of an insurance claim when they could get away with it. I’d like to think I might do the “right thing” but if I’m truthfull, probably I wouldn’t. Thats true of maybe 95% of the population, not right but thats life.

It might be a bit off the wall, but as Llandegla is a mountainbike centre why not take a mountainbike ?

Mountain bike construction differs from a typical bicycle in many ways. The most noticeable differences are the inclusion of suspension on the frame and fork, larger knobby tires, more durable heavy duty wheels, more powerful brakes, and lower gear ratios needed for steep grades with poor traction.

If you’ve got to ask why bother.

16.4mph is perfectly acceptable for a normal person on a solo ride, even if it’s flatish.
Nothing to stop you getting fitter and faster though. Whatever you do don’t become discouraged by willy waving on here. YOU AIN’T SLOW.

“Bike shops aren’t as bad as record shops. They sneer at you for buying the stock they carry. Count yourselves lucky!”

Some hounrable exceptions. Went into Spillers in Cardiff looking for a record by this guy ( father inlaw )

To get back to th op’s original question. It’s fine, join the ride just after the start leave the route just before the finnish. Don’t use the feed stations or any of the other event facilaties. If you do that what your doing is your own buisness on public roads, nobody elses.
