Might have one in my shed. I had to scrap an x wing frame and I’m pretty sure I took the hanger off.
Out at the moment so can let you know tomorrow.
Pretty sure P.M could sort you out.

Why do people keep saying she was left behind ? She found the pace a bit quick and decided to head for home. According to someone who was there, she was asked if she wanted someone to go with her and the offer was declined. Leaving a group is very different from being left behind.

I always split them. Not a bodge IMHO but a legitimate technique, as valid as any other method.

My personal radical solution to protect cyclists is to not drive into them.
I’ve been using this method for years and so far it has worked really well.

works for me as well, don’t know why more motorists don’t do it.

Assembling wheels is a piece of cake. Getting the perfect spoke tension is the hard part. Ive build dozens of wheels and still can’t hold a candle to a realy good wheel builder. Takes years of experience to be realy good.

You want to put a picture of the finished track on the face book front page. I opened it and thought ” sticks in a field !!! “
Looks great though, massive effort, well done to everyone.

Some bits are expensive though, not sure if you can get the body. If its an insurance job maybe its time for an upgrade.

I’m A Canyon fanboy and currently have one of these.

But I know what I want. As said send him down to a fancy bike shop to get a full bike fit, bearing in mind a full pro race bike might not be the best choice for a newbie looking for a comfortable, usable bike.

There is lots of private land on this course – therefore, sharing GPX files so people can find the course will only jeopardise the race guys

Fair point, perhaps I’m to trusting and think people would use the information responsibly.
To late for me to edit, but if the moderators think it could be problem please feel free to delete the Garmin link.

Before becoming a cyclist I would have a bit of anti cyclist banter at work if it came up, but it would be exactly that. A bit of banter. Much in the same way a might say something about the French for instance.
But I held no genuine ill will towards cyclists and always gave them plenty of consideration on the roads and would be no more likely to deliberately endanger a cyclist on the road than I would a French man.

This sums it up for most drivers. They find cyclists a bit of an irritant, and yes sometimes we are, but the last thing they want is to have an accident or hurt anyone.

My father gave me one when I was 8 or 9. I’d take it to school and everything, most of the boys did the same. They’d only be confiscated if you realy mucked about with one. The local sweet shop used to sell them, there was a card display with the knives attached to it by elastic bands. Times have changed a bit !!

Why were you riding down the steps and having your picture taken.
Just a silly stunt hoping to offend people ? Seems pretty childish to me.
But no you won’t go to hell.

I’ve been wanting a 365 for a while so it gets my vote. It’ll be a fair bit lighter than the other two. That matters to me perhaps not so much for other people.

I’d certainly suspend payments untill I had a working bike again. You’ve got to check the small print and talk to whoever the money goes to. I’d be thinking still a 24mnth lease with say a 2mnth payment break ( if thats how long it takes ) Or just cut out the 2mnts and they get 22 payments. You’ve got to talk tp the money people though.

I had the same with a fsa crankset, it worked ok just had that slight wobble. Ended up changing it in the end. Cant really think of any fix except getting the wallet out.

Pisses me off when cars are desperate to overtake me and then immeadiately slam on the brakes cos they have to wait to make a turn so I’m gonna say YOU, op. Just to rock the boat and all

I pretty much agree with this, probably my worst pet hate so I try not to do it when I’m on my bike.

If he’s using shimano wheels definitely. Some other wheels, mavic ect, no. You just remove the spacer.

I’d say most of the people who harp on about cheap carbon frames and decent alloy frames and whatnot probably just like regurgitating what’ve they’ve read on internet forums, in reality they’re just average cyclists who probably dont even race (only sportives)

Mine is people who overtake into width restricted areas or to get to the back end of a traffic jam that they can clearly see 200m in front or with oncoming traffic that they have to stop for. Just no forethought at all, a purely selfish me, me, me attitude which seems all-pervasive these days on the roads.

Mine as well, if you ride around S.Wales you’ll have noticed the speed camera in Groes-faen. With a westerly you can easily ride through it at 30mph. That’s what I was doing when a car flew past me just before it at 40mph + then panic braked down to 25, only just missed them ! Realy hoped they’d blow through it and get a flash.

You ‘can’ buy a decent carbon bike for a grand now. Look at the Dolan L’Etape bike. Terry Dolan doesn’t sell tat bikes and that’s a grand well spent if you did. People scare others about bikes, not riding nice without any proof on what they say. I have a Cube alloy frame and a carbon road bike and the carbon frame is leagues ahead in all ways. Most frames are made in the far east nowadays.

Agree with this, nothing wrong with a good Alloy bike but cheaper carbon can be good as well. If you fancy carbon I can’t see any reason to change your mind because of advise on here.
I’ve seen moomans R872 and for the price its stunning, hard to fault really. Worth going up to £1180 and specing it with 105 IMHO.

Sounds like your dehydrated. I’m 53 so the day after cross is a day off for me. Don’t normally do even a recovery ride. how I ride has changed as I’ve got older, lots of recovery, if I don’t my form just disappears. 🙁

I fancy a light cx bike but with flat bars- still can’t see a need for drops.

I had a nice light cross bike for about half a lap at Brecon today. Then it got heavier and heavier as I got more and more tired. Finished just in time, one more lap and the whole thing would have ground to a halt ❗ Must have weighed 30lbs by the end.

Never realy got into opera, but my mate played in the national orchestra of Wales. He always recommends la Boheme as a great introduction into what he calls proper music.
