the Honda statement is quite clear about how the 4 wheel drive works in real life, Can’t see a problem myself.

I’ve got a Trek superfly 100 sl. Got it down to 23lbs with a stealth reverb fitted, easily take half a pound of with a carbon post. I’ll do a few xc races next year, but mostly its a super fast pretty capable trail bike 😀

Last year there was probably more cross bikes than any other type if bike, nothing to technical so you’ll be fine. 29er race mtb for me though.

Apart from things that need an expensive specialist tool I do everything myself 😀
But there’s no shame in having a lbs do everything for you. I know loads of people who work hard and value their time, and choose to delegate bike maintenance to proffesional’sl

As said the word of two officers is enough “evidence” to convict in court.
You can make an official complaint regarding th officers actions. That may result in the ticket being scrapped but I wouldn’t bet on it. If you really want to fight it, be prepared to go to court, collect your evidence and see a solicitor.

Agree about the house bit. Its not lost if its in the house, I’ve found stuff I “lost” years ago.

    7. At one point in the 1980s Raleigh accounted for 75% of the UK bike market.

There used to be Raleigh only bike shops, bit like a motor dealership.

The “company” do you mean the shop that you bought it from ?
I wouldn’t be without my bike over something like this, you need one of these, the tool to fit it start at just over a tenner

Because he’s lying thats why. Had the same with a bike sale but it was his wifes car that got written off. A lot of buyers are suspicious about being offered second chance. And relisting an item seems to make it less desirable for some reason 🙁

I don’t normally watch that sort of video, but that truck was fantastic 😯
Don’t understand the haters ? I meet thousands of people each year and the only time I here that sexist blah, blah stuff is on here. STW deffinetly taps into an alternate universe 😀

It’s simple, you place an order and pay a “non refundable deposit”. If you decide to pull out of the deal you loose the deposit. The frame is completed you pay the balance and recieve the frame. If the frame is faulty, not as described ect, your statutory rights are intacted up to the full cost including deposit and balance.

What a disgusting thing for a school teacher to suggest!!

I very much doubt the teacher suggested any such thing, or that the essay existed in anything other than Mr Reid’s mind.

I went up, I’m 6ft with a 33″ inside leg. The canyon size guide said medium for my cf slx, but the large is perfect for me.

I bet a lot less than 50% of people, would say their looking to buy a expensive high end 26er though. 🙁
Found this out trying to sell mine.

Why not get a lightweight suspension fork with a lockout ? S. Wales tracks can be pretty rocky, I’d get bored real quick without suspension.

Most modern front derailleurs will work fine with a compact or standard chainset. Check you haven’t got a 11t rear sprocket first, if it’s a 12t change the cassette and see how that goes.+

No idea either I’ve had 3 forks with a poploc and the default has always been suspension, you push the lever to lock out. Maybe some models are different ???

Other way round, you push the lever to lock out.

I suppose it depends if the purpose of every ride is to go as fast as possible ?

If the rocket is your only mtb, and you’ve only ridden it once in the last year. Well you gave up a year ago really 🙁

When a rigid bike hits a bump some of your forward energy is used to lift the bike and rider up not forward. With suspension its only the unsprung weight that that gets lifted up. Same reason why tubless tyres with lower pressure that can deform over rough surfaces roll quicker.
A previous poster noticed his fast mate was quicker than him on a F/R but not as much with suspension. A skillfull rider will absorb a lot of bumps with his body, rather than loose the the forward motion energy.

What hubs do you have ? If they’re any good I’d rather pay the £150 to build them up than buy a budget wheel set.

Given the dreadful weather in this country I think it makes sense to have your winter bike as your best bike.

Not sure I’d agree the weather is terrible in the UK, on average it rains on less than 50% of days and lots of those its only a little sprinkle. S/East perhaps only 100 days a year. Even Here in South Wales my good bike only gets wet a couple of times a year.

Kinesis DC07 then. I’ve got one on my winter bike, does exactly what a fork should do.

I doubt Hora will be riding 570 commuting miles in a 3 week period 8O. Most people just go out a couple of times a week in winter. No reason not to use good wheels for your Sunday winter ride. Getting away from town I normally go through a pair of pads in winter not a pair of rims.

Getting back to your original question. Some good wheels and tyres will make a difference, enough to transform the bike into something your happy with ? impossible to say, but they would be the thing that would make the most difference. you’d have to go up a few notches’ not to something slightly better, but they’d be an investment that could go from bike to bike in the future.

Went on a couple recently and was pretty shocked at the disorganised nature of the group and the recklessness and impatience of some drivers.

The two go hand in hand, small groups only for me and I never have any trouble.

Both threads a bit “heavy”. Row campaigning on a national scale goes over most peoples heads. What seams to get people excited is local access rights, especially with evil tories thrown into the mix

If your mum believes in ghosts for her their real ! Doesn’t matter what anyone else belives. Voices and sounds might be a symptom of something medical though ? I’d get her to see a Dr before a priest. But in the end if she thinks something like an exorcism would work why not.

Never in my wildest dreams have I thought about listening to music whilst riding my mtb 😯 but each to thereown I suppose. On the tturbo it’s got to be big rock anthems.

Rode Cafall Saturday and it was fine. A bit of surface slop here and there but nothing to worry about. The muddy bit seems to have been sorted now 😀
