Never heard of anyone insuring their bike for damage whilst racing. doesn’t mean you can’t get it though.

*new kit does make you a better rider, right?

    Always.

Love mountains up and down. But I’ve got to be able to ride up, or very nearly. Loads of pushing and carrying isn’t for me.

Pretty sure Michelin don’t make rubbish tyres just to sell to Decathlon !! You were just unlucky or the tyre wasn’t seat properly when you pumped it up.

Mojo should be able to sort you out bushings/ spacers for the shock.

Love the econa extra hot. It’s got a kick but not so bad you can’t use it as a relish. Stuff like Daves insanity 😯
A bit silly really, tastes like mud !! Only ever used it to add background heat. If you can find it Daves ghost pepper sauce is hotter but has flavour as well.

Carefull slimjim 😯 I bet you didn’t realise your plan was a terrible crime. Don’t worry there’ll be plenty of people on here queuing up to get you on message 🙄

Without commenting on this particular “cycling vigilante” I agree with the basic principle DKR is on about. A society that encourages its citizens to continually spy on each other is a sick society IMHO. I don’t know if it’s a generation thing, but some younger people seem to think its more acceptable than people of my age (over fifty).

Falling of on a fast rocky descent !! Well thats just mtb’ing 😀 There’s nothing wrong with your Trance just get riding again, work on your skills, think about your riding and get your confidence back.

Why move to the Hebrides to avoid the ex ! There’s people I haven’t seen for 20yrs who live a couple of miles from me.

I’ve fitted thousands of pedals and never seen a failure as you describe OP. Doesn’t mean it couldn’t happen though 🙁 but it could explain the scepticism and delays your experiencing. Honestly you’ve been without your bike for a month !! I wouldn’t miss a ride over something like this. Sort some cranks out and get riding, anything you get back from a warranty claim will be a bonus.

They aren’t the future by any means. Personal transportation device great, as a mtb for someone with health issues who wants to enjoy the countryside great. But replace the whole concept of self propelled cycling 😆
    😆

Definite wardrobe malfunction, and very funny especially as she didn’t appear to be hurt. But so what she bounced up and cracked on with her routine ! Go girl is what I say 😀 many a Stw’er would be calling for an air ambulance after a fall like that 😯

As a first time road bike buyer I’d recommend going to a lbs. See what they’ve got, sit on a few and buy whichever one takes your fancy.

The thing is OP, the dog walker lady doesn’t belive you installed the camera to watch your dog. I don’t blame her as I can scarcely believe it 😀

Back to the original question it would be a no for me. Not because of any moral outrage but because every working girl I’ve met during my work has been damaged in some way or other 🙁 At the very least the work has made them hard and cynical. Very often even the expensive girls have serious emotional problems that would make having a proper loving relationship very difficult.
There might be exceptions out there, but the myth of the happy go lucky free spirited girl making a couple of quid is just that, a myth.

I’m sorry, it’s a trail centre climb, not too technical, not impassable without correct gear selection and line choice.
If it’s too much, go home.

Always one 🙄 It’s not impossible but for your “normal” rider, not cycling gods like yourself it’s tough. I’d bet on a given day one in fifty or less clean it with out stopping.

I went on two skiing trips with my school. Both were in term time, no lessons just skiing. Can’t see how that was right and going with your family is somehow wrong ?

Difference over 6 minutes was 6 seconds in favour of the carbon bike. Not really statistically significant.

I thought it would be a bit more, but this calculator backs up your findings.
    http://bikecalculator.com/

Seconds do add up over a longer ride though, especially if your trying to keep up with a group or just a mate on a mission. Not to mention a light bike will feel different and might be a more enjoyable ride for some.

    So what should I do?

If it was me, I would buy a bike that was in stock so I could ride it now. Not sometime in the distant future.

Reading these threads I thank god in the taxi family, I have my own money Mrs taxi has her own money and there’s the household budget. If I can afford it I just buy it.

Looking good :D, but that seatpost is shocking !!!! If you keep the black h/bar tape you’ll have to beg, steal or borrow a black saddle. I’d rotate the bars round a bit, but that comes under personal preference.

If the organisers say it’s a mtb race open to mtb’s only thats what it is. Most people aren’t stupid and don’t need BC to tell them what a a mtb is, or maybe not. 😕

If it’s something I need minutes, just a quick check around for prices and I’ll buy.
If its something I want…. Under a £100 or so I’ll just buy it on impulse. The problem is once something gets into my head I can’t let it go 🙁 at the moment its a Campagnolo super record groupset. I know I’m going to have to buy one sooner or later, so I should just push the button and relive the torment.

Cardiff, but I’m bound to be a bit biased. Never been to Leeds, but my brother went to Uni in Manchester. Visiting in his Moss side flat in the 80’s put me off the place a bit 😯

So your riding a bike with tyres that have their own gravitational field and you want to make them heavier………………

I’ve got a 17 yr old daughter and its deffinetly not happened to me. If it did I’d probably just die of laughing. Really checking your kids phone every day, then holding other people responsible for whatever they look at !!!!!!!!! I didn’t think people like that existed, but obviously they do 😯

Looking ahead if I change my good road bike disc brakes are the last thing I’ll be looking at. Like brooess my current summer bike is on its original pads. Winter trainer……. thats a different matter.

Nice frame and it’ll build into a nice bike. No excuses with this one, if you don’t like riding it you don’t like riding road bikes, end of conversation. No shame in that its not for everyone.

Ned’s absolutely brilliant at 59 but in his prime he was phenomenal !! He must still love riding and training like a pro. I can see someone like Nick Craig still mixing it at his age.

If the pictures and the way the were sold made no mention if her crimes, I can’t see how they would breach any licence conditions. I’ve no time for the dreadfull woman, but if people want to buy pictures of her I’m struggling to be outraged.
