Kryton’s input wasn’t a total waste, his link to the trek superfly could be your answer 😀
I’ve got one and it very under rated IMHO. It’ll tick all your boxes but for some reason flies under most peoples radar. Mines down to under 23lbs and is easily the fastest bike I’ve ever owned.

I’d imagine they only walked in so they could make a protest by walking out.

The 148 version should be marked M8000-B1. If yours isn’t it will be the right one.

Mrs Taxi tore my big toe nail of with a sofa we were moving. Easily the most painful thing that I’ve ever experienced !!!@ I went into proper shock, grey, sweating low blood pressure the lot.

Rich man spends loads of money on something that provides well paid job’s for people. People who then have money to spend on stuff like Taxis, or anything else you care to imagine. Isn’t that really what makes the world go round ?

As said use a gear calculator to work out what you’ll be loosing. But don’t think you have to go 1×11, you could always just replace your 2×10 drive chain. I’ve done just that on my bike, all Sram xx, so not cheap (but cheaper than a comparible 1×11 conversion) and I still have all the gears I need.

Mooman might know a few routes, I know he’s done Caerphilly to Afan off road. Me I’m a bit rubbish with gravel forestry stuff. Normally use them to link up fun bits of trail 😀
Mg’s ride sounds fun though and would definitely be interested in joining in.

£4.50 to £8.00 depending where I go. One local barbers does free “trainee” haircuts. Quality of that can be very hit or miss 😯

Just tell him he’s dangerous and shouldn’t be driving instead of fannying around.

😆 I guess you’ve had little experience of stubborn old men !!

Advise your aunt and cousin not to go in the car with him, whether they do or not is up to them. Apart from that there’s nothing you can do. What would you tell the police ? “My uncles a really terrible driver” him and so many others 🙁

Exactly the same the fox ctd’s are back on my bike. The reba’s are packed up and are going to tft to see if they can do a spring conversion.

I seem to remember the chain on sky road bikes flapping up and down when they used oval rings.

If you can be arsed flag all the duplicate rides. Say gps error or something. They’ll disappear unless the new owner of your Garmin contests this. But why would he.

Love it, easily the best thing on tv at the moment 😀

And I didn’t realise Ms. Dunst was so….well figured in her top half.

You’ll need to go and remind yourself of “that” Spiderman scene 😯

No – will be celebrating my quarter century MTBing, or rather owning an MTB in a month.
Edit – so well before IMBA rules came over here.

Nearly 30 years for me, And I always as much as possible try give way to people descending, it just seems the natural and right thing to do.
As far as IMBA rules 🙄 I’m sure they decided there should be a rule for everything and more or less cut and pasted a section from the highway code. It’s difficult for a HGV to get started on a steep wet road, but that has nothing to do with Mtb’rs riding in the woods.

@bikebouy. Armstrong is a dick not so much for the drug taking and lying, they go hand in hand and seem to be very much par for the course at the time. But for the fact that if questioned about alleged drug taking, he didn’t just say “I’ve never failed a drug test, and refuse to give credence to such allegations by commenting about them” like everyone else. No he slandered people, sued them, ruined their business’s. Thats what made him different.

Looks fine, but as said its a new build, so fit a new one. Save it for when that one wears out.

@Euro, not planning any illness. But eventually age will take a general physical toll. Maybe some people ride differently to me but after a good demanding descent I can be as tired as after a climb !! People can get what they want, I can only say what I’ll be doing or not doing. By the way you have to pedal an ebike, you put some in it gives you more back.

I’d never get a mtb ebike, if I’m not well enough to pedal a bit how would I manage all the other physical demands required to ride of road in any meaningful way ? Hybrid ebike, something to get me out in the lanes and paths definitely.

Seen worse chain rings, certainly usable. How much was that model new £450 ? Nothing wrong there at about £200.

    Love my Makaira pro 500.

No it’s not as nice as an Omega, but not sure about the holding the value thing. If you buy a new Omega then you’ll loose what a Cw costs walking out the door !!

Same as the front 550g rocket ron. Never used heavy tyres, but then I’ve always had xc type bikes.

I agree inverted snobbery exists on here in spades 😆 but so much of the talk is about boutique bikes, there’s probably a feeling you have to somehow justify a more rational choice.

@ grum, but if you follow your logic it would be impossible to explain why you chose a particular bike, political party, religion, football team ect, without implying your choice is superior and everyone else is wrong.
Deviant can wax lyrical about his Giant all he likes. It doesn’t suggest my choice was wrong only that for him he bought the right bike.

I’d bet the Cannondale frame is nicer than the Bizango, and well worth upgrading as things wear out, so it gets my vote.

I’m 52, HT still ridden 90% of the time.

this is pot luck though, you can be 80and still riding a hardtail. Others have a back that is shagged by 30 and very much appreciate some comfort.

Did you put a completely wrong number in or just one or two wrong numbers or letters ? If it’s the latter I’d bet you’d win an appeal.

It has honestly never occurred to me that I should be bothered about it. And if I was in the slightest bit itritated by it, I could always move one of ours into the space at night while it’s not there. But I never have.

Not the same. the van comes and goes, I’d assume he’s just parking as close as he can to his house when he comes home, perfectly acceptable.

I find it hard to believe anyone with a car to park wouldn’t find it a bit irritating to have a car parked outside their house for 2 weeks.
First world problem an all but definitely an annoyance.

I’ve got some Bontrager mud xr’s on at the moment James, they cope with the N.Cardiff slime as well as anything. I’m running them tubeless at about 25psi. If you’ve got Bontrager wheels you can get the right tubless kit which takes a lot of the faff out.

Not having a MOT does not automatically invalidate your insurance, although it might complicate a claim. It is however illegal to be on the road. The exception being if its being driven to a MOT station for a pre booked test.

I’m not a fan of any urban riding, so hats of to all you city commuters not sure I could do it day in day out. Not sure how many police you’d need to deal with all the minor traffic offences and inconsiderate driving you mention !!!! But people are prosecuted for all those things.

As zilog says, you can get battery’s on ebay for a few quid and there’s a video on youtube showing how to open the thing up.

If leaving bikes in the stairwell chained to railings is ok, I can’t see how fitting a ground anchor would be such a problem. I’d probably just do it, doubtful anyone would complain.

Have you ridden any plus size bikes to get a feel for what the offer?
For a bit more money I’d be tempted by the versatility of the solaris, 27plus and 29er
