You wont find a shop that will be prepared to face a ti b/b.Sometimes though creaking on ti frames can come from the threads on the b/b itself, the bearings night be ok.Try wrapping that thin white plumbers tape around your b/b cups and refit with plenty of grease.

Clotted cream!! that sounds a bit extravagant. Its just eggs or flour bombs around here. Your work mate sounds a complete t@ss&r though. If your out of pocket make sure he picks up the bill.
    Funny how jealousy works.

You could try taking the dings out with an adjustable spanner.I’ve done it a few times.Be carefull though,I’ve not seen it but its possible to break the rim bending it back.

500gms is quite a bit.You wouldn’t notice it going down but you might feel it going up and on the flat.

I don’t think the poster is very typical of motorists in general. We’ve all met people like him, but he’s a minority. Most motorists are just vaguely irratated by cyclists.I’d put the cyclist down as a kn@b as well, what is he some kind of anti mobile phone vigilanty.

Probably no such thing as a “best bike” for British trails or anywhere for that matter. So much depends on personal preference, ability, ridng style ect.ect. If I could have only one bike it would be a 5″ish trail bike with perhaps two sets of wheels.A lightish pair for just riding around and a stronger set for the Black run days.

Very few people would deny The Gurkhas have served this country in a fine way, and deserve the right to live here if they choose. But its right to consider what problems could arrise with this ruling. Not here in this country. Most people on this forum including myself would be proud to have a Gurkha move in next door, but in Nepal.
1.The British Army recruits in Nepal with the permission of the Nepalese Goverment.Would they be happy about loosing some of their best young men? To go and never come back. I’m pretty sure most Gurkhas would choose to settle in Britain at the end of their service. If the Nepalese goverment withdrew permission to recruit, doing the right thing might mean the end of the Gurkhas altogether?

2.Nepal is a poor country,an exodus of ex Gurkhas with their pensions could have quite an economic impact on some communities.

I just hope this ruling doesn’t invoke the rule of “unintended consequences”

Instead of paying for this.http://www.mojo.co.uk/html(mojo)/foxservicing.htm Saving myself £39 on the cost of a air can service.

Mojo should be able to supply the parts but they won’y be cheap.

I had the same problem with my 32mm talas’s.They were in

    http://www.pearcecycles.co.uk/home

Having a service when they contacted me with the bad news. They quoted me £210+£8 return postage including the service.I was going to scrap them, but after pricing up allternatives (Your fork would be about £700)I decided to have them done.
There was a bit a fath. because James The suspension guy at Pearce injured himself (check he’s back in work if you want to send stuff to them) But they sent them to Mojo to have the work done (and hounored their price). It seems a lot to pay to get them fixed, but mine work like new again, so its cheap compared to a new fork.

    You’ll need this tool
    http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productDetails.asp?productID=14727

At that price!! your better of getting a shop to do it. Cyclopedia in Cardiff did mine.I took the cassette and freehub off and supplied my own bearings. They charged me £8 to remove the old bearings and fit the new ones.

I haven’t seen one,but I saw a video one of my neighbours took.It was of one in the river Taff about 1/2 mile from my house. The video was shot from the Taff trail close to Forest farm. Its that part were the river bends leaving a beach on the other side from the trail. The Otter was walking on the beach before swimming in the river.
Its not far from you Dan, best chance to see them/it is very early in the morning or late evening.

Good chance you’ll need to do the clutch and sub frame bushes, mine went at 118000 and 98000 respectivly and that was pretty good.Fuel pump, injector and turbo problems can be a killer but everything else can easly go the 1/4 mill.

I’m pretty sure they’ll sort out a pretty good 5k course with the land available.Even though I live in S.Wales there’s no need for big mountains etc to make for a good event. The compact cloverleaf design njee20 described would make for a good spectator friendly course.
But I share the worries of the OP,with such a compact site there isn’t going to be any meaningfull legacy.I wonder if its worth even thinking about one,I’m going to go and watch, hopefully have a great day and leave it at that.

There’s no chance of that. The nay-sayers belive him guilty without any proof. You can only prove he’s guilty,(a positive test) its impossible to prove his innocence, if you belive he’s taken drugs but just not been caught.

6902-2rs and 61902-2rs (the 2rs being two rubber shields) are the same size 15x28x7mm. The ones you have should fit ok.

Got my Rev’s back today.Pretty good turn around considering I sent them off over Easter. They haven’t been touched for 2 yrs and oil was leaking into the dual air chamber and coming out of the floodgate adjuster when turned upside down. Both those problems have been sorted as part of the service, and the forks have that brand new feel again.£61.95 plus £9 postage each way, saving about £20 compared to some others, tft etc.You couldn’t say their any better, but just as good and cheaper does it for me.I’ll be sending them my fox talas (they do them ) Monday.

If you think its the B/B try wrapping some plumbers thread sealing tape around the cups and refit.

To my way of thinking. If group rides are going to encourage new riders, of either sex, getting the ability mix is far more important than gender. An unfit bloke, with limited technical ability is going to struggle and maybe loose confidence if he joins a hard riding group. Its not only girls who struggle in the wrong group.Us blokes have been geting hammered for years.I can’t ever remember anyone moaning about it.You just keep riding(maybe on your own for a bit) and get fitter, or pack it in.

I don’t realy think there’s an issue here.If women want to get into mtb’ing great. But whats all this encouraging buisiness? Just because you realy enjoy something it doesn’t mean someone else is going to feel the same about it.Leave the door open for people to come in,but you don’t have to push them.

All these years I’ve been riding, and competion wise getting nowhere!!!
All I needed was to get cancer and have it to turn me into a world beater( or at least better than I was before) I’d love to see any proper substanciated scientific evidence that shows having, and being treated for cancer is a performance enhancing situation.
Maybe LA did take epo before tests for it became available, but if he was so was everyone of any consequence as well.LA is is probably the most tested athlete ever, untill he fails a drug test all the bul@@hit “Lance drug cheat” is just that bul@@hit.

All the bikes mentioned sound ok and might ride realy well. But the 456 rides, well like a 456.Going to another frame might get you a lighter bike, but youd end up losing that 456 feel you seem to like so much.
Like them or not I can’t think of many bikes that replicate the handling and ride of a 456.
