I think its worth noting that none of the other robber served any more than about 10yrs (Biggs has done that now). Buster edwards went on the run as well, and still got early release. It seems to me he's served any reasonable sentance. Those guards can move on to more important duties, other than watching an old man die.

I'll second the point about 2ndry levers. No point for normal racing . For trail riding etc they might be usefull. I used to think they were for mincers though, but after seeing Nick Craig using them at the 3peaks, well if their good enough for him.

I've got one of these frames and built it up with parts I had to hand.

Give paul milnes a ring I'm sure you could get a full build for under £1000.

I've got a JR he's a great dog but usless as a trail hound. They aren't renowed for their stamina.I don't take mine out on rides ( he's been known to bu$$er of home whilst jogging around the park ) If you do take him, give him plenty of breaks and be prepared to carry him at some point.

Loads of people on here seem paranoid about dogs !!!!! But the OP has actually been bitten wich is quite different. Only two choices realy, just shrug it of and lick your wounds or report it to the police. I've never been bitten and wouldn't tolerate my own dog bitting me, let alone someone elses.

    p.s
If it was coming in at you, and you thought it was going to bite you a big kick would be well in order.

If its realy hand made this bloke should just stick to fabrication (some skill went into it) leave the design to someone who acctualy knows something about bikes.

I know someone who used this stuff.

    http://www.steelseal.co.uk/index.asp?function=DISPLAYPRODUCT&productid=1

It was used as a temporary fix over christmass, but it held for 18mths untill he sold the car.

Firefighter."He buddy its a bit dangerous to be riding here with little kid don't you think ?"
Cyclist."why don't you go f@&k yourself a?@&*le.don't tell me what to do c*&?t"
    Then the shooting starts.

A full service should cure the oil leaking from the floodgate sdj. on you'r Rev's. I Had the same problem, but the oil seal changes as part of the service sorted it out.

It could be just the extra pounding you get from a H/t.Standing up on bumby descents tire my legs more on my 456 than a full sus.

Cheers for the advise. There seems to be two schools of thought though.I’m deff.no Helicopter parent WTF !!! They seem a total nightmare. It’s a departmental open day so I’ll pop in for a bit but keep a low profile.

Congratulations to you and the wife. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking riding ends when the baby is born though !! When we had kids, we both felt it was important to make time for ourselves as well.I’d still go for a ride a couple of times a week. Then do some baby minding (a bit scary on my own at first)so my wife could get out.

With respect to flat h/bars being limited to 50cm.Its my understanding that this came about over concerns for safety in the mad charge on the roads of the start.400 riders in a pelethon traveling at 40mph !! All you need is someone with a wide pair of flat bars hooking into your drops.

I bought the 575 for excactly the riding you describe.Don’t build it to heavy 27-29lbs or it won’t be so much fun on long rides.Swap to heavier tyres if you want to gharge of stuff. All those other bikes could fit the bill as well, but I love my Yeti.

I’ve had a pair for about 5yrs now.Never had a problem, they’ve been on a couple of bikes. But only x/c use with 160/180mm brakes. Not sure I’d use them with bigger discs.

I had glue ear as a child and had grommets fitted (many years ago)I’ve not heard of drug treatment, normaly they just wait a bit to see if it clears on its own up before surgery.Your entitled to a second opinion. As your not happy its what I’d do first.

I can’t believe this is even being discussed!! Its not for T/B or the British team to do or say anything. You play to the whistle just like any sport. In any case cheating is deliberate rule breaking to gain an advantage.no evidence of that here.

I give money to people on the street all the time, only a quid or two or whatever change I have. Some might be profesional beggars, but most will be homeless with a drink or drug problem. Why because I have something and they have nothing. Its not for me to moralise over how they spend it.

I’d post the frame back to the retailer in the mean time. They might want it back before they send out/approve a new frame ect.

As far as I can see its none of the schools buisiness how its pupils travel to and from school (they might want to issue advice, but can’t enforce it). Only that they wont let them bring bikes onto school premesis.Maybe they don’t want to pay for storage facilities.Just lock the bike up outside problem solved.

What type of fork do you want to run? The 456 starts to come into its own with a longer travel fork 130mm ish.The r/l 100mm or so.I’d go for the r/l as a x/c type bike and the on-one for harder hitting stuff.Decide what type of riding you do and you have your answer.
