I use a pair of Sure SE215 wired ear buds riding my motorbike, usually listening to podcasts commuting 50 – 70mph. They work well.

I also have a pair of Sony CX500 (iirc) which also work well for walking and general out and about stuff.

At this price you’re competing with parents of 17 year olds, and dealing with 18 year olds that have been thrashing the life out of their 1ltr C1.

We managed to find a Citroen C2 for about £700 and it’s had at least that much spent on it in the last year to replace worn out bearings and bushes and To be fair it’s pretty decent now.

after a career in the RN I had a couple of jobs in MOD and then moved to BAE systems in submarines weapon systems.

It did niggle me a bit and after 4 years I left (for other reasons) and moved to civil aviation, where I realised just how many aeroplanes are polluting our skies but they pay a lot more so Meh, we’re all screwing the world in our own little way.

I ordered a pair of freeriders on the 27sept, and I’ve had an email today to say that they are in their way

    Copper slip.

Or just assume you’re going to have to drill the screw head off and then get a pair of mile grips on the stub

I only had 2 problems with my lad and an older kid. First time I rang the school, was initially getting fobbed off until I said that I’d be knocking on that kids door this evening if they didn’t sort it by home time. It got sorted.

About a year later the same lad hit my boy in the back of his head as they were getting off the bus, I happened to be sat in the car waiting for the bus and saw it happen, so I drove straight to school and had a pretty one way discussion with the head where I again told him if he didn’t sort it, I would. He sorted it first thing Monday morning.

I’m in the forest of Dean. I’ve been asked quite a few times to post but I don’t because of the cost of postage and risk of the jars getting broken.

To my eyes, while it’s something that I could do but it’s a risk that’s potentially more hassle than I’ve got time for.

Believe it or not, I’ve had people return jars because the honey has crystallised, I wanted to scream at them ‘that’s what honey does you fuggin idiot’, but the wife took over and just have them their money back.

I sort of accidently started a sideline when I started beekeeping.

I say sort of accidently because I didn’t realise what was involved with processing honey and wax when I first started, I thought I’d have enough honey to put into a couple of old jam jars and give away to friends and that would be it. Some years I’m dealing with maybe 250 – 300kg, packed into 340g jars with 3 labels on each jar. It’s a major operation to get honey from hive to the customer and people balk at the price (£5 a jar, which is cheap!)

This makes the hobby pay for itself and maybe a little bit on top some years, but it’s not a business that funds our life.

Fortunately I’ve built up a base of customers that keep on buying my honey so I don’t have to really go out of my way to sell it.

We’ve got a 2015 D3 V40 with an auto box, so I’ve no idea if that relates to the car you’re looking at.

Just about the only thing that annoys me about it is the pretty poor economy (about 40mpg) and the gearbox lag when pulling away. We did talk about getting it remapped when we first bought it up to 190, but 5 years later we haven’t got round to doing it which says that It’s quick enough.

No issues at all in 5 years.

I haven’t a clue about the bacteria and stuff, but for making yoghurt I do recommend the ninja foodie, not just for yogurt but for a million other things as well.
I just takes a bottle of milk and a couple of spoons of live yoghurt to get you going.
