I agree with stumpyjon and that retest or better still a proficiency course to make sure people are stil capable. I've seen a few doddery people around about Pompey that definately shouldn't be driving. One person leaving the local asda cut the corner and mounted a kerb then the front wheel mounted the central reservation. I didn't ring or write down the details that time but I have done in the past

So sorry to hear about your loss. I know what you're going through as my mate [only 27] had a heart attack a few weeks ago and we buried him on what was meant to be his wedding day.

As said above be strong for his lass, family and friends. If ever you need someone to talk to then we're all here for you…

I'll be trying that code if the mrs gets off

If the bike cupboard is closer to the back of the house then you don't have the risk of the electric or gas mains running under that section… you don't want to be damaging the main feeds although they should be in or under the concrete deck bleow the screed anyway.

If it was me I would go into a corner and try. You shouldn't have any coils in a cupboard but you never know.

You said above that you had stud walls? Could you not secure into the studs and secure fixings ie the allen key type with a post in the centre?

code is 2210. I've just bought an LG 42LH3000 and for the life of me can't programme it in. Press the TV button on the sky handset, then select and red until two flashing lights appear, enter code.

There's a sticker in the battery compartments that runs it through alhtogh if you got the sky interactive – help centre – remote control there's a walkthrough on there.

Good luck. Let me know if you manage it

Don't bother with using araldite. I would take rawlplugs in deep.. don't use the short ones otherwise you'll just crack the top of screed.

Are the gas and electric meters in the cupboard that's closer to the front of the house?

What an awesome wife. Can she and my mrs become friends please?

The underfloor heating coils re laid in loops and spaced about 300mm apart so you get cold spot although sometimes they will be left out of corners because this makes returns harder. I think it wold be a safe bet that there is no coils in the cupboard but your best bet would be to put them in as tight into the corner as possible

On another not you haven't got you consumer units in the same cupboards have you?

what are you trying to do? The pipes are normally laid within the screed however due to the nature of alying the pipework it is very uncommon that they would get laid in a cupboard. With all the taps open on the manifold does the cupboard floor heat up?

I used to be really into my dance at that age… only ten years on and I've just bough my first Rat Pack album! I've got a broader taste nowadays but only really listen to dance when in the clubs and what's on radio 1. I do like mullet rock though…

you probably have the old felt roofing don't you and no beetle vents in the roof to allow ventilation of the roof space. Do you have soffit vents? The condensation is from a lack of air movement in the space. Increasing the insualtion should help as your preventing heaet from escaping and reducing the dew point. Also, don;t let the insualtion touch the felt at the eaves… you need a 50-100mm gap for ventilation

My mrs has the satio on orange, the satio has a sh*t hot camera but the phone itself is having some problems which is why it was pulled from the shelves a few weeks ago. Patches are now becoming available but not on orange… yet. It's a good phone, processor can easily copy with the functions but there are just a few software glitches at the moment.

The drivers on the A34 were bad. Thick fog, ice on the road and people hooning it and quite close. Someone brakes and everyone jams on the brakes. All it took was for one person to touch the snow / ice on the sides

I have several friends in recruitment, and there are jobs out there but they aren't as plentiful as they were a couple of years back. One of the main things to remember is that these guys work on a bonus to go hand in hand with their rubbish basic salary. So if there's a job out there that suits you and you have a few months/years experience and a competitor who has much better appeal than you they will go for the latter as they will get more money from that person.

Clients do seem to be pulling positions though. One of my freinds was set to earn a small fortune this Christmas from one company and at the last minute they pulled it on account of 'lack of business' . You're not the only ones being mucked about.

    What industry are you in?

I didn't think it was that bad to be honest. I drove home today after spendng the weekend in Wales with the family. Lampeter to Portsmouth took 7 hours [double the normal time] but I did have to drive through Gloucester for that brief period when both bridges were shut. Didn't find it too bad. Was much worse in Wales but I think there is a larger volume of traffic down south but a lot of those are inexperienced at driving in these conditions. We always seem to have issues in Pompey when it rains hard let alone snows!

haha! My mrs and I have the same discussions albeit a little quieter. I told my sister off for feeding my nieces those. It's all turkey for sure but it's mostly mechanically reclaimed and I bet people wouldn't eat it if they saw it processed.

I think Jamie's Kitchen did an episode on this… think Bernard Matthews.

I'm not too good on the old single malts. A bit of a thing from when I was in school and got slaughtered. I do like Jack though on it's own but this month I'm going through Disaronno at a rate of knots

I think tradition is 3 months isn't it. That's what my mrs told me! I think the modern approach is one months salary [after deductions ]. Think I'll be spending about 1-1.5k because I want something nice but would rather pump money into the wedding itself.

As clubber said it;s what it symbolising that will be the important aspect not how much it cost.

I thought smoking behind the wheel got you an on the spot fine. The same as eating and drinking but not as severe as being on the mobile. Thought it was deemed distrating and therfore dangerous.. by the way did you see Top Gear with the Range Rover with a million gadgets?!

Ask nicely on here for a spare jockey wheel and then use it for a bit longer. If its still shifting then it's still working so don't fix what's not broken.

What's wrong with Wiggle? Really good customer services, good prices, good kit and very reliable on postage. Even though their up the road from me they are just as quick delivering to me as they are to my brother in law in Wales

I have two normal routes. One from my house and one from local country park. QECP through Buriton and back which is about 15miles and then another through Rowlands and Kingley Vale which is about 25miles.

    Front = Bonty ACX
    Rear = Maxxis Ignitor

Riding the SDW, xc, very muddy and slippery. Really pleased with the combo considering loads of people said the ignitor was rubbish in anything other than dry hardpack

hmmmf, I knew the bb length would come into play. These cranks were suntours and gone to FSA. Will have a measure tomorrow and get a new b/b. The drivetrain is going to be better than the bike itself!

    Taff
    Free Member

But the size if the taper shouldn't vary though should it. The other option is to get a shorter b/b as it was quite long anyway but trying to work out what's wrong with the current one

Have ou tried overtaking him on a DH route? Nothing more satisfying than doing that. Wear full lycra too… adds to the comedy value!!

    Taff

I always wear lycra out but normally wear baggies over them. I'm more embarrassed about leaving my house in them than wearing them. Nothing better than wearing just lycra is it's really wet or muddy though.

I've only got the tocco at the moment but a friedn has the lite and they haven't rectified their mistakes. The OS system really sisn't that great and the touch screen isn't particularly great either. The LG have slightly better reviews. If your daughter is looking at syncing the phone with the computer [ie outlook] the a samsung is definately not the right answer.

Your note on carphone warehouse… go direct the the supplier and ring them up. CPWH can only gove standard deals where as the suppliers can be a little more competative. The fact that have to entice you witha PS3 relfects what you're going to be getting. Also be aware that if you get a phone from the store that you must check over it properly in store as the contract won't allow you to return it unless faulty so make sure you're happy with it.

Sounds like the BMW owner issue to me. You do rip the p*ss out of other biking disciplines in a fun way like the rugby banter bewteen Wales and England but DHers can be quite bad at times but those ones are normally class A c*cks
