whilst the potterton is a good unit if you go for the newer boilers then they are a lot more energy efficient due to strict energy requirements. We seem to be putting a lot of Glow Worm units in at the moment like the Ultracom. So you have an electric shower or is it running from the tank at present? Just stay away from Nibe…

Sorry thought cost was an issue. If it is try and find the original candy red boxxers otherwsie a set of 39s or pace fighters or something of that ilk

Old school boxxers will be fine and quite nice on it then. You should be able to pick a decent set up for 100 – 150

    What frame have you got?

Headset especially if you're going hope. Fit and forget. If it will last a few more weeks and you can afford biking stuff next pay day then get the troos to make rides more enjoyable

I don't think I've met anyone on this forum despite having loads of riders living locally. Not sure if I've seen CG at Swinley or whether it was just a female rider!

Kielder is too far for me. Swinley is an hour away from my house although my old man isn't far from dyfi. The only problem I'll have then is competing against my brother in law who is like a whippet

Which is the enduro6? I've just been looking for a competition to aim for this year and saw the gorrick 100 is on the same time as the Dyfi

not a full yack but I have done the empty stomack kind of yack. Normaly when pushing the limits up a hill… or when doing the Dyfi Enduro

I used to buy the powdered glucose, found it fine. Putting salt into OJ [only small amount] helps release fructose or flat coke

Would I have to talk to the Mrs instead?

I only pay £12 a month for phone and broadband with sky. Got the free internet from them and I was getting speeds equal to the expensive virgin one

I would pay a lot for a Fat Chance shockabilly or Yo Eddy. 300 on xc hardtail and 600 on secondhand dh frame

Used to paint my old intense but it cost 50 in materials and a lot of labour for stripping and prep then loads of light coats. A friend used to use black hammerite for a fiver and had an ok finish. He wanted to cheapen the look of new frames so they didn't get nicked around uni.

I bought a second hand troy lee that I knew I had only worn once. It's a difficult decision to buy second hand as damage can sometimes be invisible ie under the shell. I wouldn't bother selling or buying a second hand helmet that originally cost under a ton

There's Fareham Wheelers and Velocity Cycles the latter of which have played a huge part in the development of the cycle routes through the park.

Owen – sounds good, guess you're pretty local then. My email is emyrgriffiths@yahoo.co.uk. Givem em a shout some time.

Modern day nuclear power stations are very good from what I've read although I don't know know that much about them. Alternative methods need to be investigated as tidal and wind are crap in comparison and fossil fuelled stations have pretty much had their day given that the fuels are running out. I think safer disposal of waste material needs to be investifated and implemented. That said I wouldn't want one next dor to me but then I wouldn't want any power station near me

what do you want? I've got a single ply standard in 2.1 and a dual 2.35 ST

Queen Liz is your best bet for around here – Queen Liz

It's got some cycle tracks within the forest itself which totals about 14miles on seperate routes. You also have the ability to go onto the south down way from there which is pretty good going too. I'll see if I have any map extracts to give you but in the mean time

Dehydration as said above although in the past I have had a dodgy fitting helmet which has caused issues and also in cod weather the cold air venting through the helmet has caused headaches but that's towards the end of a ride that it will start

Unless you have a good covering of snow chains are useless. If I drove to work using them I would put the on for the quarter mile to first bit of clear road travel 6 miles down the road to put them on to park and the reverse it fir the whole journey. Not really worth it. Bit like autosocks but the snow was fine this year it was the ice that made things difficult. Talked to my old man about this during the snow. With changing cars every few years and wheel sizes varying it's not as economical to get a set of 15" steelies with winter tyres for your car. I think it would be better if people use some common sense and were a little more cautious

I wouldn't want him to lose his job given the current climate but suspension would serve him right. There are a few dodgy bus drivers around here and think they need to be taught a lesson

Got out for the first time today. Was gutted I couldn't (read wasn't allowed) go out during the snow but luckily I found a load today some of which was still pretty deep. Lovely stuff

You mention above that the HD box is only £10 extra pcm but for it to be worth it you need to have the full package so you're looking at more than a tenner but I agree that it's a better option if you can fund it

Just talk to them. It's like ordering a new mobile, you never settle for what they offier in the first instance. More often than not they will waive the installation charge as they did with me. Curries are showing £99 pounds and 60 installation. Could be worth a barter with sky

best bet is performance exhaust and then remap but a remap to get off the standard is the cheapest and most common option.

wait a little while for the HTC HD2 to be available on your network. It will be the competion for the iphone. The android system is pretty damn good though but as mentioned the cameras let these phones down but then you don't really buy the iphone or htc for the camera abilities
