Why not leave the house 15 seconds earlier then you could drive safely without losing your temper and stop making it more dangerous on the road for other drivers?

I agree with both Jam bo and with Renton. I would have flashed him as he was being a b'end but probably wouldn't have raced him. I would have however have waved Madam Palm and her five lovely daughtersat him. To be honest it sounds like a Jonboy who was out there to wind someone up and succeeded

Don't know what it is about beemer drivers that makes them drive like tw**s. Had issues with one on the roundabouts in Chuichesters the other week where the left lane of the dual carriageway was busy and I was cruising along at 70 passing the traffic on the inside lane. He flashed me which in that situation I just gave him the bird and carried on. First place where 3 lanes come along he tries to owertake me on the outside lane to cut in fronmt of me then beeps at me as I was in the right and wouldn't let him in. I then slowed to 60… off to buy me a beemer now

Rinse, coat the chain and mechs in Muc Off chain cleaner, leave it for a fe minutes, some hot water in the chain cleaner and thne a good go at the chain. Finally a bit of Fenwicks and then turtle wash n wax and a wash, let it dry off a bit the good coating of GT85 on moving parts, wipe off excess. Give it a hug goodbye and then demand that the mrs makes me some food

I'm 'experimenting' with photovoltaics at the moment, a lot better when it comes to awkward roofs. You thought about geothermal or did you not have the room?

If letting air out of the building isn't an issue why are we designing air tight buildings… Enhanced accredited details etc ? Mevhr system that mean you don't have to open a window for ventilation.

Coffeeking- with reference to your post at the top… That's enough!

one of the architects I worked with was on GD with her piano house in London. I think because she was an idiot her house went half a million over budget.

Huf Haus is good but very expensive for what you get. What ever you do stay away from Kingspan TEK. I do a lot of timber frame houses and can put you in contact with a fair few people could even give 'mates rates' on a design if you're reasonably close

My dad is 66 in July and still hoons it around Brechfa every weekend. Don't think there's a cap to an age to stop riding. I'd like to think that I could still ride after I stop driving but don't really want to think about giving up to be honest

I think I have got the MBR routes although I thought the last one there was a medium. I'll go and have a look anyway and see how I get on. It's good to ride new places anyway.. or so they tell me.

I think MBR has done it in the past too. It's reasonably straight forward, better now that they have a hex bolt rather than the star nut they used to have.

Sounds about as muddy as everywhere esle at the moment. Not too bothered about thrilling rides, just want to get the miles in really.

Is there quite a bit of singletrack dotted around those woods then?

Back in '03, I bought my first one in over ten years. Was a Stinky fresh from Halfrauds, had a £800 knocked off with a mates staff discount and sale etc… got it home and split it to put on some real kit…

did the shop bleed it or replace the fluid? Brake fluid can become infected by air whihc is why you shouldn't leave the cap off for too long etc. Give the entire system a really good clean so things are easy to spot.

Does anyone else think this typically sounds like issues with the lever?

definately an air leak. Visually check for any leaks or splits in the hose, tighten the coupling between the hoses and caliper/lever. Replace as much of the fluid as possible with new stuff and bleed any remaining air out of that. If it still does it try once more for luck before looking at things like seals on the calipers etc.

from memory you need to out 5ml in the bottom of one of the legs. Simply put yes you can do it that but you'll have to cycle the forks to make sure all the oil is out

you could try goldtec for a 34 / 36 104bcd chain ring. Really good rings for longevity and quality. I think I have a 36t that I used a couple of times on my other hardtail that's now redundant.

all 104 rings will fit as it's a universal fitting. I think you're thinking of compact /110mm.
Personally I have always found shimano rings a little soft and wear quicker that others. For that reason I have middleburn or raceface rings. I haven't tried Shimano ones for a year or two so they have changed

Swinley is nice because there are some fun bits of singletrack going up and down. Last summer was awesome but I rekcon in the wet there are other areas that would be a hell of a lot better. It's a change of scene but as mentioned above the trail centres are normally a lot better when there's gloop everywhere else…

It has pro's and con's. I work in Pompey and that area has currently undergone three phases of parking permits. The first two phases opted for as they could never get parking outside their houses as commuters and shoppers were using them so it's good for them actually parking outside their houses rather than one or two roads away. The third phase opted against and now their roads are rammed with commuters and they are now gettign very angry. The commuters may suffer in the future if that third phase decide to go onto permits because in less local workers have their own dedicated parking they aren't going have any parking as they can only get permits on their road and all those roads have been sneakily changed to pay and displays and the council won't issue permits for those roads as they will lose revenue. So eventually the council may push some businesses out.

I think you need to think of all the implications on yourself and others but potentially if you own your house and come to sell and visitors can't get parking that may be a put off. I don't know what your area is like though.

Onzadog… if you have any advice for my situation that would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a large whiskey bottle which is filling up nicely for the next holidays. Last emptying session was 160 but part of that gets donated to charity as I normally go the machine in supermarkets as I'm too lazy to sort.

    Nicely done Matt.

I think what they're doing is good. It's no Kilimanjaro but good on them for doing something. As I'm not doing anything for Sports Relief I don't think it's my place to criticise someone who has made the effort to get off their arse…

The Hope Races look pretty good. I don't rate the Marta SLs. My brother has had no end of problems with them but is now very happy with his XTs and Elixirs.
