I’m liking 2×9 at the moment although I would like to change my chainrings to a 29/30 – 40/42. AS far as wearing my brother in law is doing roughly the same number of miles as me but it’s not looking like a major difference. The one thing about going from 8spd to 9spd was that when the mud gets into the cassette it skips… well with 10spd it’s a little worse.

Podium – I’m in Havant so how much roughly for a bit of work on my shoulder to get some knots out or would you need to do a consultation first? Got a bit of a dodgy shoulder and also suffering from slight back ache every now anad again?

I’m going to the local college next monday for a neck & back massage which will hopefully work out some knots. Paying the grand sum of £3…

Just got the email from CRC too. Glad to have some confirmation that they’re looking into it.

I don’t think they would actually lie about the 0.1% becuase if investigated they would end up in quite a bit of legal sh*t. I’m going to take their advice and pay via pay pal on future transactions until they come out with a statement saying that security issues, if any, have been resolved.

Think I paid less than a £1 ea from Mojo before and just tapped it on or used a vice.

Apparently the course is ‘dry and fast’ so is anyone doing it? Bike is all prepped but I’m still not feeling the 36miles yet but will see what tomorrow brings.

Im on a red maxlight xc120 – if you see me then say hello!

I’m in the club too. Just been told about CRC security by my mrs’ cooleague whose other half has also been done so Tom – thanks for the heads up. They tried taking £60 for Xbox live but luckily it didn’t go through.

    1. 1998 Motorola brick with an aerial that extended about an inch
    2. A 97 306 TD and had it for years!
    3. 1998 [woo’ed her with my extending aerial] on a rugby pitch back home

Went out today. Had planned a 30miler but my legs gave out so ended up only doing 20. Thought the conditions were awesome to begin with as everything was really dry but 10miles in and found some mud, not all claggy but really slippery. Still was good to get out on the bike

Wasn’t Gracie flying over Southampton today in commemoration? Would love to see it, definitely one of my favourite planes as a kid

Thanks for that. Where abouts did you go? I’m either going to head to Winchester [or at least in that direction] on SDW or do a Cocking-Singleton-Stoughton route. Have a feeling that either will be claggy especially as none of my tyres are particularly great in those conditions

Check out Bike Radar I’ve only entered Llyn Brianne as a search but there are multpile ones. Try also Doethie Valley. I will see if I can find my OS map from when I lived there

I’ll be finding out on Sunday but things are drying out quite well from what I’ve heard especially with this cold wind, just slippy as said above.

Around Tregaron you can leave towards Llyn Berwyn and the Berwyn plantation and then off to Llyn Berwyn which has some awesome riding. You up there this weekend? I think I may have some MBR routes I can scan for you but not until Monday when back at work. There is loads to do around there whether you’re a beginner or pro so no worries about that.

Whats the text label going to contain? Co-ords? If so then can you not just go with fields. I think I kind of get what you’re doing but I’ve done it in the past the other wa around for building co-ordinates but had loads of issues with it so left it.

Work for an architects practice in Portsmouth working predominantly in te social housing sector. Had a quite few months either side of Christmas but it’s gone hectic again for me. Doing about 8-9 hour days in the office and emailing from home. I do find it’s either deadly quiet or flat out but I’m glad it’s the latter

Doing a load of Code 6 houses at the moment. We have solar shading whether it be large overhanding eaves or brise soleil’s to minise solar gain southern facing windows, larger windows to improve light quality on northern facing windows. Size of windows is also important. Have an air tightness of 1.

On other schemes we have used solar reflecting glass but not convinced by it yet.

Oh great, I was hoping it would be fast. I did part of the Goodwood circuit the other week and that was horrendous too so not holding out much hope. The video teaser also showed a nice decent that was ruined by wet weather!!

If rain-x is put on properly then it’s pretty good but the last two times I put it on I put too much on. It’s only good if you’re doing motorway miles and high speed as slower speeds mean you have to use the wipers and is slightly blurry.

Decent wipers and washer fluid are also a good alternative.

but the AAV should be located above the heighest spill height

EDIT Just seen there are some that can now go below the spill height providing it’s above the wet connections

you talked about ‘doing it yourself’? 😯 and what was wrong with her muffins

Just reading this for the first time. Some very funny topics. I was asked to join a friend before but bottled it as I thought my conversation would dry up. Glad you had a good one though. Come away with any numbers or does it not work like that?

Then I don’t think from what you’ve said that your plumber has given you the right advice. It may be that there is a reason he’s done it but the system does need venting somewhere to prevent.

Did you have a cast iron soil pipe before? If so… he’s probably sold it!

you should have some sort of vent fitted in my opinion. If not then when you flush the loo it will syphon water out of basins etc or whatever else is connected to that stack and you could end up with smells coming from the plugs.

Are you in a house? If so is you bathroom above [ish] the kitchen?

Can you get a picture of the ceiling up as it stands? I’m quite lazy with my house and in this instance I would do a liquidy mix of polyfiller and use a rubber squidgee or plasterers trowel. Any uneven bits can be taken out with some fine sand paper. Can be sealed with 3:1 PVA mix [emulsion or water] and then paint the ceiling with two coats of good quality paint suitable for bathrooms and kitchens. I’ve not had proplems qith cracking in my houses other than on decorators caulk but the father in laws and my Dads bathroom and kitchens are bad in areas, FIL’s is due to poor preperation and my Dads is due to lead based paint from back in the day

No to lovebirds too. I have a female budgie called Bruce. She was meant to be a he as they’re easier to get to talk. She squawks a lot but mainly because the cats sleep on top of her cage.

Depends on the soil pipe to begin with and where it is in the system. Do you have another soil pipe going through the roof. If you have multiple pipes going through the roof only the furthest one needs to be properly vented. If an AAV has been fitted it should be installed in air tight boxing either as it won’t work properly

As andyl said about the tensioner or could be a bearing inside the alternator. My bearing have gone and are like a whoosh come whine

We ued to do the usual meal etc but now just do a meal at home. Had several incidents in busy restaurants the last one being won ton soup in my crotch. They’re all too overcrowded for our liking. Saying that did a meal at home but managed to overcook the scallops, steak and veg. Went for Chinese takeaway this year and it was dead in there but leaving the place saw how busy KFC was tonight!

About as helpful as a chocolate fireguard! 12″ 1/32 is the guide to replace the chain and 1/16 is the drivetrain. You’re measuring to centre of pins and it doesn’t take into account the wear on the centre of the chain, only streth

Not ridden but was there last year. Road riders galore and some awesome roads for riding on. Didn’t see much of the off road riding scene but apparently there were loads of amazing trails
