Its been a while since I’ve done a hpi but you could get them instantly. Ideal if you have a n iPhone. Think tyre also cheaper now if you want to do it just in case.

Aa checks are fine But they tend to only point out the bad bits. Do you have a mechanic mate? I used to take a mate until I learnt a thing or two and I take a jack which I would use for inspections if I couldn’t see from generic positions. Look at all the records, services etc as you would in a dealer.

Take money with you but leave some with your mate so you not just pulling out 4k for a 4k car.

What car are you looking at? Do you know the typical problems associated with it and would you be able to spot them?

An hour and a half isn’t far to go. My met who loves his car has been known to drive for 4 hours although he bought a dodge charger which died 1 hour into the journey.

Don’t forget if you do pick up the car that day make sure you can insure it there and then with your insurers

Been using them quite a bit but been using paypal to pay for things. Add and extra day or two on to usual arrival times etc but it’s safer.

I got the top of the range [before it change to s-works] specialized but got it on sale. I don’t usually pay a fortune for lids as they will get damaged but I do want it to be light and comfy as I suffer from headaches on the wrong lid.

for the same reason I bought a tld back in the day for my dh although now there are others which would rival it quite well.

My new but old road bike had it’s first proper outing tonight as a charge spoon saddle finally arrived. Managed to do 17miles in 68mins whi h I didn’t think was bad considering I have man flu. Not really sure about look pedals though and not just because I slipped on the laminate floor while leaving the house. Only real problem with the bike is that the rx100 shifter is a little bit notchy and slighty unreliable-just ran a load of degreaser though it and will lube it later but hope it may free it up a bit.

I don’t know about Tag but you can take it to a nornmal watch repairer and get it done for about £40. I’m getting a 1960s watch done for same price.

Mine are coming on well. Transfer them from the propagator to 3″ pots now until they become approximately 30cm tall and then tease out the growing tips. Mine are being tansferred to 10″ pots this week and then introducing them outside during the day and back inside at night for a week until acclimatised.

Looe, polperro. Most of the coastal villages are nice to be honest.

I wouldn’t check it against a phone gps, 4 of us who ride together use endomondo, 1 mememephone, 1 htc, and 2 different nokias, on each ride the distances vary greatly so wouldn’t use those as a reference

I don’t personally want any help as I want to support myself but my Dad has always said he will try and help us three if needed. He has the money tied up in saving etc so don’t really want him to delve into it but know it’s there if needed. My sister is haing financial trouble at the moment [38] and she has help from him every now and again although she tries to pay back what she can.

When I have kids I would want to try and help them out but wouldn’t have them living out of my pockets.

To get around licensing years ago my local carnival used to sell raffle tickets, one free beer with each ticket. That got around licensing at the time apparently.

Wouldn’t go to a bike shop. An engineering firm will be cheaper. Alternatively – CLICKY

The Father of a son’s friend keeps a samurai style sword

I thought these had been banned in the UK. He’s probably breaking the law just by owning it.

Don’t say that. I have my brother in laws stuff in the loft and there a samurai sword and a viking sword in there…

64kg clothed and a touch under 6′. Could possibly lose a bit more with the aid of a proper curry.

Depending on what it looks like, use security fixings into tee-hinges. If that doesn’t allow because of bolt heads then have some tee-hinges welded to angle wich can be fixed to the corner of the concrete.

As for door how about a standard ledged and braced door with ply backing for added security.

Spray some wd40 over the smaller rings and try and get the lockring too taking care not to spray the bearings if sealed. Give it another go tomorrow then. Only had this once on a shimano hub.

My cats are crapping on my flower patch and I’ve put up a low fence – didn’t work! Hose pipe is good. Putting up a fence as I want to plant flowers in sections as well. Got some lemon balm growing and coriander and my cats hate them

yeah, it shows up in the mentions section. I thought they had to be following you as well for them to receive anything. I think though if they follow you as well then it all appears on your wall [?]

I love my Kinesis, handles like a bmx on the trails

New purchase, wanted a retro-ish road bike. Love it because it 12years old and it’s been ridden twice!

Ring them and cancel any more payments. I’ve gone to using paypal for most mail order stuff now and not had this… yet

Gt avalanche. Was the right size for me but it felt like I was riding a gate with wheels. Also had one of the original Jamie Tomkins base frames for street and trails – it was very weird

The Thomson is solid but there’s lighter for less. One reason why I like WCS posts. there are some mint s/h Thomson posts available if you are thinking of them. Paid £35 for mine two years ago and I badly scratched it in a new frame straight away.

From previous threads on here, bike radar an some other random reviews the knife is very highly rated but not all find it as comfy as a spoon presumably as it’s more streamlined. I’m not too sure when it cones to saddles. Until now I’ve stuck with what I know to be comfy and am only bow trying something new.

I’ve got a Thomson and specialised avatar which I think is cheaper and about that weight. Got a charge spoon coming based on reviews from here. Also like a WCS post

only things I’ve found that work is Torq gel or mixing fresh orange juice with some water, glucose powder and some salt.

    Taff

No. The runners are held down by four torq bolt that screw into the chassis itself and that’s it. Can’t get a screw drive in to try and tw*t the latch and hope it breaks off as the front torq fitting is in the way. Got a reasonably bedny steel road so will be trying that to see if I can lift it up slightly enabling me to runnit back but it sounds too easy to actually work!

Cutting it off is a last resort but there’s a ig scrappy near my Dads so will be able to do that over the weekend if needs be. Definately won’t bend anyway. It’s not the end of the world as it’s the passenger seat anyway but still annoying!

Can’t stand mountain/race kings on the front. To be fair up on dartmoor you can pretty much use anything else. I used to use spesh enduro on the front or fire xc and never had any problems.

I use Torq but mainly to help alleviate cramp. They’ve been ok in moderation but at my last race decided to take one every 20-30minutes and after about 90minutes I puked most of it up. Other than that found the flavours all ok
