I’ve not had Merlin wheels in some years but my wheels didn’t need truing for over a year. Last set of wheels I had built by a mate are still going but my new set will be from Merlin I reckon.

Don’t understand why you’re flaming so much today kids. If he was causing delays then I’m sure he would pull I’ve to let other users by. Highway code says you shouldn’t ride more than two abreast uncertain locations and in this instance they sound like they were in the wrong. Don’t paint all roadies in the wrong light though

£70 a week, if our shopping is more than £80 for two weeks my backside squeaks!! We’re trying to save for a holiday too and seem to be spending more money than usual. My car is having bits in having work as that’s cheaper by £10 and a lot of hassle than me doing it myself and got stung for gas, electric and water bills. Petrol is ridiculous at £60 a tank from empty [206!!] hence looking for a more economical car [more expense]. I do private work on the side too to get a bit of extra pay but that money is usually swollowed up by some financial issue like car going wrong, cats etc etc

Working on a housing scheme consiting of several block of flats. I’m taking it from the architect now that it has got planning and ‘making it work’. So far the roof is as complicated as they come and to get up the stairs you have to be two foot tall. Other than that the day is peachy!

Toggle bolts don’t work on insulated plasterboard. You have two options. redidrivers are ok but we wouldn’t specify them with a small kitchen cabinet let alone a plate rack although you would be surprised at what the plasterboard could take. Remember that insulated plasterboard is only 10mm thick and is therefore a few mm less than orderinary plasterboard and therefore a bit weaker. Why not phone British Gypsum technical for some input – 0844 800 1991? Another alternative is to put up a pattress board of say 15-18mm plywood. You can put in hwoever many more fixings for the pattress board using redidrivers to make sure and then screw your shelves to the pattress board?

Just be careful of the electric cable position

I’ve just got a normal little one, suppose it doesn’t really matter what the brand is but when you buy make sure the overall dimensions allow it to fit within the hand luggage frame at the airport. Flew to Madrid last weekend and they were fine outbound but on the return fight they were checking most bag sizes looking for a little extra dosh.

Thanks John, If I had a large bucket for mixing I presume I can syphon off into the demi-johns with air locks that I have although if I bought a mixing bucket with a lid from Wilko [which is where I have been advised to get the rest of my starter kit] although I presume saying that a fermenting barrel isn’t that much more anyway and I may as well have some wine going while doing the beer. Also is there any harm in using magners bottles as opposed to buying others? Seems to make sense and then all I need to do is get a topper.

EDIT: the beer I’m looking at is Woodford Wherry, had it a while ago and quite liked it

Sorry to hi-jack your thread here…

OK, don’t blast me but this was on Gardeners World last night. This is the month of repotting a citrus. It will need repotting but he [from TV] used the same pot from what I could see. He took out his citrus. Teased off the old compost from the outside of the root ball and cut some of the roots but only to make it fit a little easier when put back into the pot. He mixed grit with compost [can’t remember variety] and also topped up with some good quality garden compost.

The yellowing leaves is a sign of a lack of nutrients in the soil si repotting would help that for a few months but you would need some sort of feed especially during the fruit growth period.

I’m only an amateur gardener so best do some research but the little I know has been shared…

I’m really impressed. Been given some demijohns and airlocks and want to try although doubt I would be making that kind of quantity!

If it’s compasionate leave then how can they get you to put in a sick note claim! If your contract doesn’t allow you to take compassionate leave then it would normally go unpaid. Mine allows a certain amount, can’t remember without looking

I’m in the same predicament, have you phoned them at all and asked for a reduction? They know that they are all pretty close but Sky are doing everything they can to get my dad back at the moment who has gone to freesatHD and talk talk phone and internet. He likes talk talk as customers services have been awesome to him apperently where as sky severed his broadband and wanted ton charge him for a service he couldn’t use. Anyway I digress, the HD box is a tenner and for that you will get the box but they may charge you for install unless you opt for the install yourself option. You will get 40 free channells if you have those packages to begin with ie entertainment, kids, etc but they’re only a pound extra anyway. Sports is too much for me to consider and the films are horrendously crap. Bearing in mind that there is sod all on tv at the best of times I would say invest in a blu ray player and freesat

2 x fox racing baseball caps, one light blue and one cream and red, also got a few fox beanies and a Royal beanie which I won years ago. Don’t really wear baseball caps much now unless I’m on a golf course [hides the face].

I said that about my Kinesis… it’s been very clean for a fair few weeks while the road bike needs a good clean down

The enduro 8 is another one I ahve been looking at as well as this[/url].

The strada is an easy one and I’m quite interested in that one as I know it’s decent and also I’ve seen the deals on Ribble although there aren’t any deals at the moment

Have you had your shulder all checked out properly? I thought I had pulled a tendon or two and found out I had caused major damage to my nerve to my shoulder muscle.

I did study there [2000-2004] and lived in Plymouth until 2007.

was gutted to see the Hoe Centre knocked down in a way but then again it was a death trap and I can’t say I enjoyed sleeping in my drawing room – creepy!!

Talk to them. They will probably credit your account. If not say you will return the original to buy the discounted one.

I know what you mean. My iPhone is taken running etc so suffers quite a bit of punishment but hasn’t started crackling yet. Pams phone sits on her bedside unit and has done for the last year. Get plugged into a dock for music or she plays her apps etc. As I told her I think it’s rebelling against her crap taste in music!
