Use it all the time. Don’t wash my brakes with it though but may get the odd splash on it. Sometimes even use a bit of megs quick detailier on the frame too if its not shiny enough!!

I’m contemplating this at the moment so it does sound less attractive. At the moment I’m undecided as to whether or not getting a 2011 discounted bike with 0% credit card or 2012 with cycle scheme. You should be fine from now until then as your agreement would be in place already.

I liked the cheesecake factory but it’s not exactly romantic. If you’re in san fran you have to go to Bubba Gumps.

I love the delphiniums and dahlias I’ve got in the garden but you can’t beat a bluebell carpet…

Don’t think I ever showed you guys this in the end. My mrs found me this through her work classifieds so a few hours later I was picking it up. It’s a 1999 Giant Peloton and until I had it had only been ridden twice until the bloke broke his leg [not on this bike]. Since then it had been hanging on a garage wall, tyres are a little tired on the side walls but other than that it’s pretty mcuh pristine. Few little rusty spots most of which have been cleaned off. May have made a mistake by trying to modernise it with the stem and bars. Thought it was a bargain though…

I don’t quite get the issue. You’re changing to a duo spider but want the mech to start and finish on the middle ring ie single ring??

I used Green Flag until last year when my insurance changed their deals. Had home start included and service and speed was good with them.

Two work mates stayed in Brittany this year. One had a windmill. Will ask tomorrow and get back to you as they were pretty reasonably

Replacing the screen on the 4 is completely different to the 3GS. The glass and touch pad are now a single piece rather than before which is why it’s more expensive and more of a faff to change

Had an accident years ago and damaged a nerve in my shoulder which has meant I have had issues with my shoulder. Can’t raise it up. Seen several physios the best being at a local college training facility. I’m told to do loads of exercises which help but also causes a lot of pain. I’ve never discussed operations but my dad recently sent me a load of info on a doctor in Abergavenny who has taken the operations to the next level

I had a colleague who lived on the isle. He had bikes on both sides for his commute but in general had no issues with it.

Catnash – who are you? I used to ride with Ken Gas and Peter Ronska back in the day.

Hugor – I’ve done those trails at one time or another but most ar fire roads and although some have steep climbs not amazingly technical. I think I have a map somewhere marked up with all the off piste route but I know some of which are over grown due to lack of sue

I lived in a village on the edge of the forest for 20years and have always loved Brechfa. The raven is a lot of fun for a man made track but it’s made even better if you link up with the natural stuff too. Did you guys get lost at one point though? I’ve ridden it a few times and keep missing a turning somewhere

Go to your online account rather than on your phone app. Go to challenges and hit the challenge in question, there should be a top bar with invite, share & leave

I’m 29 and mine is ridiculous. Been trimming for a few years and it annoys the hell out of me. I also have some hairs that seem to grow in the space of a few hours. Found one massive one at work today an yanked it out but you never just pull one do you… Eyes were streaming while sitting at my desk

Buy some half decent socks too. Don’t need to be proper running ones but materials plays a part in blisters.

I think it is illegal to reverse out of a driveway onto a road in this country is it not ? Or am I getting my road rules mixed up…

    It’s largely ignored anyway.

Think that’s right. Car park isn’t a road thoug, it’s not adopted and therefore is private grounds

I’d rather people reverse out and I take care when I’m driving towards them than people trying to get trolleys between my car and theirs.

I don’t wear a tie nowadays. Most I will wear work wise is a suit and shirt. Dress code for my work is smart casual and not formal. Don’t really get on with ties anyway as a tight collar aggravates my throat so have a whole load stocked up for weddings, funerals and school revivals!

If on the flat or downhill and I’m facing them I tend to either slow right down or come to a stand still but if I’m cycling up a steep hill then I don’t give way. If I’m going in the same direction then I tend to askk ro squeakk the brakes and wait for a repsonse. As with opedestrians if I don’t get a response I’m coming through. Most seem reasomably polite with this so have no issues but have had horse riders saying bridleways aren’t meant for bikes and then me laughing at them irritates them!

Definitely not qualified to answer but I run and ride. Run a few times a week and mid week road ride and mtb ride on Sunday’s. I run for about an hour and have 2-3 different loops depending how I want to feel the next day. I’m doing 8miles consistanly and other than making sure my pace is either even or better I will sometimes vary by introducing 30s sprints and then a hobble of a recovery.

    Shouldve gone to Specsavers!!!

Paid 150 4 years ago and still using them although need some new ones really. Got a normal pair with anti-glare and scratchproof coating and a pair of sunglasses. Just Osiris and Quiksilver frames, nothing too fancy just do the job. Saw the Asda optician prices the other day and nearly had a heart attack!
