I agree to an extent. My hope e4s weren’t serviced/bled etc for 4 years. I stripped them down as I had a new man cave and needed a project and have had to keep ti kerning with them every few months since.

What’s wrong with pushing the comfort zone? I wouldn’t worry about fitness levels. When I went out on Sunday someone was being guided by someone slower than himself and he seemed fine. It’s a popular career change at the moment so you could do with some of the qualities you mentioned above. I would much rather be with a slow but chatty and easy going guide and a fast doosh bag who doesn’t talk

There’s a couple for me which I would like and have always liked since I was young. These being the Merc 300SL and the e-type convertible.

That’s not right, that’s a crossover so shouldn’t have road marking on it. I bet there were originally two plans – a cross over and a bell mouth and they got everything jumbled

Went to Kent for the weekend to stay at a mates folks new house, 80 odd acres of woods with some lakes and a cabin in the middle of it. Did some kayaking, drinking, bbq and freezing my a** off in a tent on the first night when we thought it would be more exciting than the cabin! Got out on the mountain bike for the first time since february which was pretty awesome though.

Now I feel really tired but only 3 more working days and then Egypt for2 weeks – boom!

Doesn’t work as a cure for me but helps me take a weight off my mind. Work can be a major pain in the arse at times so an hour or so on a bike helps.

DT78 the trails have been really quiet every time I’ve been there too for the last couple of years. There was one Sunday when I saw more running and walkers on the tracks than cyclists.

Signage for tracks only goes one way but there wasn’t a stipulation on the boards to say you must go in a certain direction just one to say keep to the tracks. I’m pretty guilty of doing some of the tracks the wrong way round though

What’s the difference in levels? Building regs gives typical mac length for pipe diameters and falls. You could put in a load of joints but you need to ensure you have a fall

Just to say a big thanks for the suggestion. Not quite two miles from the house, the lane from the lodge is a mile in itself. Did a couple of loops of the red trail and although nothing major was quite fun given that it was pretty dry and fast I can’t really complain. The hills back from the centre up to Gouhurst is a bit of a killer having just done 24miles and getting a text that breakfasts on the table!

Where’s here?! Portsmouth I think got off ok but the rain from thelast few days will be a leaving the tracks a little wet anyway. Off to Kent now for some riding up that way so hopeit was too bad last night sand will be ok for the rest of the weekend

I’ve stopped for a few months. Was running with my mrs several times a week as well and I was doing baby steps so I didn’t shoot off and have given myself house maids knee! Taken a fair while to sort it out but will start up again soon. Got Great South Run in a few months so should probably get back out there pronto

Had this with the rear lights on the 306. Cleaned the contacts and they were better. Sometimes it’s easier to put in an extra earth

If I’m going out for a big ride on a sunday I tend to avoid getting lashed up on the saturday… helps with my reflux! Diet does play a bit part in reflux and I also get it from drinking too much energyfluid/energy gel. Don’t really get it if I take a banana and squash with me.

Azalea? Got two different types in one of my borders and they both look quite nice. Soil and exposure conditions are similar to yours too

I used to struggle badly on long endurance events. I think part of it was not drinking enough but I found using torq gels worked better than any other gel. Also carry jelly beans now or a banana for some decent sustenance.

My mum has done it several times although has never put quite that much in. she topped it up correctly and then ran it but it didn’t run thorugh until it had properly diluted it all.

I try to get a healthy balance but off road I find a feather light bike isn’t necessarily as good on the downhills. Seeing as my weight varies between 10-11 stone I don’t think I need to worry about bike weight as much as my bro-in-law who is 15st. I think road bikes are a different matter though as you don’t need that to feel ‘planted’ on a dh

So after saying that why do I want a chanrge knife over a spoon…

Jesus.. at the start of this topic I was about to order an XML from DE now I’m confused as to whether I should get one from DE or just buy smudges! Smudge can you use yours on it’s own or do you still need multiple lights?

Found it eventually, kept linking me to an event in July. Looks pretty interesting to be fair. got a sportive on that day unfortunately so won’t make that one but would be a good one to try for race 2 or 3 providing I can get my head around how it all works!

YOu shouldn’t need to take off any tiles. Simply all you’re doing is taking off the existing fascia and screwing a new one to the ends of the roof trusses. The worst bit about fitting a fascia/gutter is having to deal with the lengths of the stuff and secursing the fascia. Gutter is obviously easier as you’re putting it into the clips which are also fixed into the truss ends

Found a speed king better than a mountain king but you’re sacrificing everything for a low weight tyre.

Rocket Rons are pretty good though but that’s not a tubeless version though

We got a cleaning liquid from supermarket, suppose it’s a bit like calgon. Just put some on a cloth to clean the doors and seal, wash the tray in a sink and then put rest of the liquid in the tray and do a hot wash. I then cleaned the filter afterwards… lovely smell

If everything is tight and still making the noise wrap fingers around forks stantuons and rock back and forth, then try same on top cups of headset and see if you can feel movement. Guaranteed it’ll be forks. If not try dropping the forks out and check headset cups are firm in the headtube. I cracked the seating before now and it made a horrible noise

Pug 306 turbo diesel -1997 onwards for under a grand. You don’t need to worry about engines as they go on and on but you just need to check the steering, suspension and electrics.
