Also it should not be taken on the day that you have a blood test.

Why is that? Never been told that before?

are you 90-100% good at taking the tablets?

Apart from the first year I have been pretty good. Quickly learnt that I should take the tablet at the same time every day and have stuck to that routine consistently. The only major slip up I’ve had was October/Novemeber last year where I went away for a weekend, came back and left my tablet box in my bag. Went four day without taking a single thing. Would nornally have had my bloods taken about a month before just to amke sure they get to my consultant but left it as late as possible to try and avoid any issues.

Other meds and food can interfere with the absorption from the gut and mean that you get a variable effect

There was a long period of time where I was controlling my intake of iodine. I think it was on the Thyca website I read that it had an affect. I was pretty strict with that during treatments and for a fair while after but slipped back into normality after a while. I will have another look into this though.

I have a phone appointment with my doctor later so I want to ask him about my levels and ideally get all of them since diagnosis. I can’t quite remember my levels other than knowing they were fine.

Apparently thyroxine should be taken with water at least half an hour away from other meds and food.

I’ve always been told that taking other meds with my tablets is a bad isdea especially as some can be counter productive. I’m not so sure about the food unless it was rich in iodine I suppose.

Can’t remember exact figure but it was quite good. It didn’t make sense to me how my TSH could be fine but T4 low. Had a new registrar and didnt have much confidence with what she said. Got my GP ringing tomorrow as can’t get an appointment for two weeks

Do you know how to size the bushings to the stanchions?

No… I’ve read a few posts about this and that existing ones can be re-sized but have no idea what this means. I’m just being tight as I only paid £60 for the forks 5 years ago so don’t want to pay over the odds for getting them repaired. If it’s a cheap fix then I would rather do a DIY job otherwise I may as well look at another pair of newer s/h forks.

Old man sent me some photos from his bedroom window looking out towards Brechfa. Was looking good although only an inch. Quite jealous really!

I got this today. New pads and cleaned the rotors before so I know it wasn’t contamination. Some squeak can be eliminated with some copper slip between the piston and back of pad.

Brake cable end guides. You normally get those on the other side of a cheap brakes cable set. Never get used by modern day bikes,

It’s topics like this that get emailed about to pass the working week! Had several people at my gyms told to leave for shaviing including my brother in law. Granted that was only his face in a steam room but still.

Would leave the air con if it’s still working. With the brake fluid I tend to replace mine every two years as per the Haynes reccomendations. I have a Peugeot so they’re probably trying to ensure that I still have fluid in the system where as a VW is more trustworthy!

Think 8min/miles is a good target. Depends on the distance you’re going for though. Not been running since Great South but with the run I did before that and the race itself had between 6:20 and 7:50. Can’t get consistent times over a long run though

My old mans mark 2 was his pride and joy. Did exactly the same in a morrisons car park. Dented the sump but not that badly. Scratch marks on the exhaust too. Other than that fine. Hope yours is ok. Glad you’ve been wise enough to look and be cautious

are you able to service them? had to sort some out for a mate and they were a faff in comparison to my Hopes. If you can do it and keep costs down then yeah why not put them on sons/wifes bike

9mm is a standard quick release lever. 15mm and 20mm are for bolt through hubs and use either then maxle quick release axle or a bolt thru axle.

could be an immune disorder such as aids.

Well that’s brightening my day already!

Did some research last night, discovered last night that radiotherapy might have an affect on the immune system. Had that 7years ago so not sure if that has had affect. Only thing that gets me is that in previous years Ive had a cold and got over it where as this year it feels like I’m a kid in nursery catching everything for the first time!

I was going to post something similar earlier. Had a cold every few weeks since November. And it’s starting to get on my nerves. I drink loads and rest when needed. Been taking vitamin c effervescent tablets but have no idea if they’re actually working. I’m on medication and these colds are having a major affect on their effectiveness. May go and see a GP but he’ll probably tell me to MTFU. like the sound of ponegranite juice, someone suggested beet root juice too.

One of the girls in the office suggested something interesting today. She’s a runner and said that drinking too much means you’re diluting vital vitamins in your body. Wondering if there’s truth in this as I drink a fair bit on a daily basis.

gap between wing and door different could be romt the wind. Seen a few cars in the wind just recently that have had the doors flung open and pushed the wing in. Could be soemthing like that.

I’ve got a cat d repair but I knew what had happened. Won’t put me off if its a cosmetic repair but if it’s a mechanical repair then I’d be a bit more worried

Replaced the pads front and rear today and realised that one of the pistons on the rear calliper isn’t returning properly. Seals were only changed a little while back so can only presume there’s an issue with the piston itself. Can’t fully push it back into the calliper – annoying!

Pier 39 for some food and drink – got to Bubba Gumps for food. I really enjoyed alcatraz. Go for a ride over the Golden Gate bridge and down into Sausalitto, head up the main road a fair way and there’s alittle mexican place on the left hand side. pennies for some awesome grub!

I had a magnum styler bmx. It was awesome and was given a book called BMX moves at the same time. Was only a nipper but remember trying to surf on the saddle bars, could only have been about 7-8 at the time. Never really had a lust for a bike as such since.

Levers rebuilt now. Seems ok, nice and solid although did a half arsed job of bleeding it. Got new pads to put in front and rear so will do a proper job at some point over the weekend if I get a chance.
