Off to Thailand in about a month with the mrs and then France with a load of friends in August. Also got a stag do at some point and think it may be Spain.
On an extension I did a while back we put in folding doors which were insulated (read expensive) so it still looked like a garage. Out back put in bi-folding doors to the garden. Insulated the walls, floor and ceiling and put it as part of the house
Are they the round valve end or the square ones? I found the square ones rubbish but just tightened up the round ones as much as i could by hand then the sealant did its job
My mrs now has both. Downside is battery on the Fire HD but as it’s not a glorified etchasketch you can’t expect it to last that long. She loves hers but find that the brightness behind the screen doesn’t make it as comfortable to read as the basic one. In terms of everything else she’s happy [so am I!!!]
The Park one is very good, bought that for the brother in law who was clueless and is now pretty good. Haynes was ok but there are also some cheap ones in Book Factory that are also good for basic stuff. You tube is a better resource for a lot of stuff and Park have got a directory for most of the general tasks. Better to watch it be done that to piece pictures and words together.
I know what you mean. I’ve given up with wanting the ultimate bike for pennies so happy with THISwhen I can afford it. Granted not what you want but it’s a step up from my steel road bike and I can afford to change the wheels at a later date.
My mate was a washing machine engineer and the hinge the latch had gone. he whipped it off with a screwdriver. There was just a metal loop at the front and I think that was pretty much it. Got to be a you tube how to somewhere
Used to run fire XC pro too with a MudX on the rear if really bad. Now running racing Ralph’s on the advice of an elite racer. Just as much grip as a MudX but not as draggy and great on hardback.
On One have good deals on both KMC and SRAM chain at the moment. I wouldn’t personally notice any difference in performance or longevity between those two
From planning perspective as Lin as its not next to a highway or in a conservation area you have up to 2m height to play with. If there are Party Wall concerns then there is a certain distance that will still put it under the act even if you out a second fence up. Personally I would prefer posts rawl bolted to face of blockwork so as not to have an affect on the foundations of the wall.
My house is a polished turd that is slowly being sorted. Owned by an electrician before us and the wiring is awful. Typical scenario is an underpowered transformer to a set of down lights. A bit of timber hiding a hole in the felt underlay. Removing it exposed expanding foam!!
I’ve been using MudX tyres as soon as it gets greasy. Just bought some Racing Ralphs and was pleasantly shocked at the performance in the mud. Really gloopy stuff and they aren’t great but then neither are MudX
My mate said you can expand the memory in them. Not sure how. Had been looking at the £145 deal in HMV but that deals sounds better especially if you can use vouchers and quidco!
I had noticed that some retailers had just changed the prices so they seem like a sale but are still around the same as last week. Still not seen anything eye catching though
There’s something else going around too. My friends Aunt came down with it today and my father in law has something too. Just a virus but pain in the arse timing. Hope you feel better soon
It’s the lower spring. Reckon the small bit that sits into the jockey wheel plates has come out of its hole. Could be salvageable. There’s a Christmas Day task for you right there
I have had arrowspeeds and ceat tyres and they were awful. Didn’t last and grip was terrible. I tend to stick to Kumho KH31, Firestone TZ300 or Hankook. Last well, good on fuel and reasonably priced if you’re any good at bartering
