Yes offroad, don’t mind some road to link it up but some interesting bridleways etc at the very least if not singletrack. Sounds like a ride down to Dunwich is the only way I may get some interesting singletrack in though

For me it helps. My psoas is in bad shape from cycling and running helps that. My flutes are in bad shape from running and cycling helps that. As previously said running can slow your cycling and I found that did happen for me. It does the opposite for some. Providing I did it in moderation and was careful of knees and calves I liked it

Cracking day, came 17th in solo. Start was a bit of a mess without the usual look of the field. I see Kevin Sheldrake has some photos up already

I had the same problem on my old 306 until it completely died. Just got a second hand cluster and put it in. If it was flickering I would have said it may have been an earthing problem but with the rev counter going I would say the cluster is on it’s way out. Could be worth trying the earths first. You will need to softboot the car when you reconnect the battery.

All really positive responses so looks like this is the way to go. Many thanks for the responses.

Northwind – very kind of you, don’t worry though. By the time postage and packaging is taken into account I may add well go mail order. Thank you though.

Another awesome event. Could’ve done without 4.5 punctures but that’s racing. Loved it. Many thanks to all the organisers and volunteers.

Brother in law had them briefly. There aren’t many reviews on them but the price and weight were appealing to him. When they arrived the tubing was very thin, less than half that of his Eastons and he was worried about that given the riding he does and what they would be like after a crash. He sent them back before trying.

I went a few months back and really enjoyed it. Think I paid full price but you can get free readmittance with a month/year. The cars are awesome. The Top Gear stuff isn’t amazing as its not changed in a while by the bond stuf was cool. The main museum is just ace though… If you like cars! A nice day and you can take a picnic and enjoy it in the abbey or near the river

3rd Dyfi for me. Absolutely loved it and was so lucky not to have a mechanical. Best time and position for me too. Best ‘race’ on the calendar.

I like riding trails centres every now and again but can quickly get bored. I prefer going taking a few wrong turns then looking at an old OS map with tears along the folds and try to work out how to get myself to the next point

It’s open road? Who cares! I’ve done it before but I don’t interfere with starts, finishes, parking, food stops etc. It’s no different to going onto a sportive site and take the GPS route, doing it the day before or bumping into part of the route and riding along.

Always had Hopes and nothing has ever matched my old E4s for stopping power and modulation. My new bike came with elixirs and fun them ok with different pads and a good bleed. Only used for XC though

You used to have the cavity to prevent the transfer of water which would come about due to workmanship or porosity of brickwork. Even now there are still a lot of bricks that don’t advise on the use of full full cavity. Building regs also states that pointing finish comes into affect depending on the area but its not always taken into account when you look at the recessed or bucket handle finish that’s commonly seen. Building Control are normally happy with a full full insulation if the insulation manufacturers BBA certs cover it. Most of the dampness issues I have come across in the past have all been workmanship issues of some kind.
I wouldn’t be happy if some company came around putting 100mm core drilled sections all over my house. Why can’t the scour a brick out. Render will look like a patch up job either way unless its redone. Just had my house done with a fibrous type of insulation which say all the good things but I need to touch up the pointing in places so I don’t get issues. A product I came across recently is Icynene and I’m quite impressed by it.

Mocha – I read that too. Just chucked out a sheet tonight. It’s funny as the SRAM stuff tells you not to face it as the bb will become too short. Don’t know why it’s so critical to be exactly 68 or 73. Don’t know if that accounts for the failure rating

Unfaced bb shell shouldn’t have any affect on the GXP if in reading the blurb right. Shimano is a different set up causing side loading on the bearings which if the bearings aren’t square will cause an issue. Went through an xt bb in two weeks due to not facing it then had it done and it lasted 2years. Not sure on gxp yet. Just done a year on one bb (team) so will see how the next one goes

Is that the downhill track from the very top down to the bridge? Can only think of the quarry near the A3 climb. Rode QE on RRs and found it a lot better than expected, first climb a bit greasy but was okz

We have a water pistol but she isn’t scared of it. We have a scratching post and she never used it until tonight when I sprayed it with some cheap febreze. Not sure if it has catnip in but the mrs’ jumper just got sprayed and that’s also being loved! Most scratching posts unscrew so get some fresh cat nip and fill the tube with it.

I tend to suffer in the morning but tend to put that down to an early morning start. Only run early on eating porridge/weetabix etc where as later on I’m running on breakfast and lunch and snacks etc.

They were happy to help me with an issue with my Garmin but its within warranty so sent it back to the shop. Always had good experiences with their customer services on a variety of Garmin units.

When living in Plymouth we had a black and white cat called Guinness. Most affectionate cat ever who would climb on your lap, wrap his front legs around your neck as if giving you a hug. Would also follow you anywhere. After a year or so he suddenly went missing. Never done it before and kept to a routine of coming home when we did etc. Came home from work and there was no Guinness, few hours went by and nothing. Started the whole walking around the local area calling for him and nothing. This went on for a few days. Every time I would come home or get up while in the house all the windows would be checked and there was nightly calls out the back of the house but to no avail. On a sunday morning I woke up at about 7am which was unheard of at the time and when going to the loo though I would look out the bathroom window and there he was outside the back door. Looked dirty and was starving. He slept for a good 24hours without moving off the bed. We can only presume he was locked in a shed for a few days but we never want to go through that again.

Personally Rock Shox, fox forks and parts are overpriced in my opinion and they are a delicate fork in comparison. Been using fox for a number of years but have recently gone back to RS and not regretting it at all now
