i’m rapid cycling type 2, it’s not fun but with meds, you can be fairly stable most of the time,mine have been working fine for about two years now, but I can feel I’ve been slipping for a few weeks now, so we’ll see…so don’t expect to be fine all of the time, though some people are I’d have to agree with Monksie, Stepping Hill have been great with me, both as an outpatient and being sectioned and in a locked psychiatric ward, er, a few times now.

Good luck with it, what I found a big help was learning to recognize the behavior that i exhibited just before a mood change.

i’ve just put a pair of old battered brown Blundstones on, bloody comfy and last for ever.

And a couple more bikes, a few more cars and a load of guitars.

As for reviewing the subject, I have….musician”s autobiographies invariably blame their management and other band members for their own failings,usually self serving and to be taken with a pinch of salt :).

He’s a fairly generic self-absorbed rock ****, with a mediocre voice,most of his stage “presence” was due to having a millions watts of lighting and shit flying about all over the stage whilst he happened to on it. Much of the band’s success was down to a combination of good image management,Slash’s riffage and extremely good production. Though to be fair I’m not really a fan of 80’s/90’s American jock rock or those big poodle haired bands at the best of times, so I may be a little biased 🙂

Ernie ball full stainless are pretty damn good I personally like their tone and feel and at about £8 a set are as good as anything I’ve ever used, I’ve been sticking with them for about thirty years now. I try others every once in a while but keep going back to the Ernie balls.

Er….. a ’90 Corvette ZR1, a ’69 Mustang 390 GT, a ’72 Reliant Scimitar, A ’74 Mk1 Granada Perana V8 coupe, a ’96 diahatsu sportrak, a ’71 Broadspeed Bullet Capri, a ’91 Fiat Cinquecento and a couple of motorbikes and a recent BMW 535d for daily driving which strangely is about as soulless and boring as it’s possible to be compared to my other stuff.

Don’t rate Jimmy Page very much either to be fair( good showman to be fair), oh and by the way, I do like them, I just don’t rate their ability particularly highly and frankly they aren’t certainly better musicians than me,I work on a daily basis with world class musicians and session players who can play them into the ground without breaking a sweat, though I suppose for rock/pop musicians they are better than average. 🙂

None, I use no pedal board at all,live or in the studio. A board allows you to hide behind all the effects on it thus disguising the fact that you’re not very good.

Try playing for a few days without any fx,not even reverb or tone controls….. just a straight line through the amp, and for the first few hours, you’ll sound s**t, simply because the fx make you lazy and sloppy,you’ll then actually have to start playing properly to sound any good.

As far as I can tell, they invest in buying up domain names, as well as building domain branding up. somebody has too I suppose 🙂 anyway, he still has nowt to do with the music business

Steel or nylon strung ? however….In all honesty, anything new at that price will almost certainly be a real piece of crap,Like buying an unbranded mtb off a garage forecourt for £50 if you will.

At that price you’ll be much better off trying to get something secondhand.

It’s like here, but 10 x funnier and relaxed, 10 x less anal retentives / keyboard warriors and with bugger all moderation.
