Standard trail centre stuff, CoedyBrenin, Nantyrarain to Cannock chase, Sherwood pines etc… For £16 I may as well give it a go.

How about this if I can put pennies together?

Sounds like I need to spend some cash on a top/bottom job, bash guard integrated too,

Any ideas for at decent price?

    Screwing it in,

Electrical tape makes the world go round although a zip tie is gonna look better.

Thank you kindly for the tips!

Suggestion on other forums to center punch, drill and either reversing back up might be enough, if not a tapping a torx in to unscrew it. sounds possible,

Might just get wrap electrical tape round it the bracket!

    What’s to say I couldn’t be a pro with a little coaching?!

*Runs away with himself…….keeps running……….and Running

But seriously, appreciate the advice, of course it goes without saying that I open, empty mind will allow you to fill it with the correct knowledge, there’s always that risk that you’ll get a donkey know-it-all spoiling a group session which is why I’ll try 1-1.

Not saying Evans Cycles are bad but please consider supporting your Independent Local Bike Shop, invariably the little man will look after you better.

    Wooooosh! You’re not getting it!
No, £2K is not a lot, I have bikes that cost more than double that, but the difference is that when you’re first starting, you really don’t know what you want until you ridden for a while.
You’ll learn more skills with a hardtail and indeed it’s worth spending money on coaching days.

    Amen!

Buy a 8k bike and hear the whispering grumbles from other riders watching you struggle on a long climb on a bike they could only dream of!

Keep it simple and buy a Hardtail!

I suspect anyone driving an Audi has the same mentality to spend £2k on a first bike.

Used to run around Leeds festival campsite, but strange powders will do that to a young man.

    I sense a Troll….

    Yep
However you have to give him the benefit of doubt,

I’d recommend a £500 hardtail, if you continue to ride, sell it, buy a better bike.

i read something that said they introduced the running bit to try to keep your feet warm.

    All makes sense now!

Do entrants get penelties for getting off their bike?! You don’t see marathon runners grab a bike when things get tough!

Seems to be a little contradicting, running in a bike race…

John, very tempting, but I think I’m sold on the Prince Albert, funds for which come through in the next few days, however if they sell out, I’ll defo check to see if you still have the kili,

What sort of condition is the frame in?

Yeah I looked at the genesis but it has some weird ass headset size! 44mm? My forks are a standard 1-1/8″..

    Thanks for the shout!

Indeed 15.5″ is what I’m after, however I’ve had a wee set back in funds, will be back on board in a week, I’m hoping you’ll still have one in stock!

This when you tell me you’ve just sold the last one! :(

Many thanks, I reckon you’ve sold it to me!

I’d love to come and have a look but I’m in Nottingham!

You have a a1x9 setup? What sort of riding you get to do on her?!

    Your riding a 15″ ?

    You happy with it?!

i suppose the only way the OP is going to find the frame of his dreams is to try as many steel HT frames as posible so he can compare how material, geometry and spec affect the way the bike feels.

Which is just what I’ll do, problem is demo steel HT are harder to find, luckily due to frame prices, the option to buy and resale without a loss is gonna be a decent and potentially exciting prospect!

    Some great advice put forward,
    Kudos to you all

    Much obliged!

I’m considering the ragley piglet due to reccomendations and decent affordable price.

    tacopowell

    Yeah meant Hardtail,

My first bike was an aluminium hardrock, I figure what said with choosing your line more carefully would suggest you need more skill, which I’m not convinced I’ve got masses of!

Maybe I need to make the switch as a training bike? Until the day I can afford a FS again!

    tacopowell

Why do I ask, seem to be cheaper in the second hand market, I’m a small guy at 5’6″ish with hobbit legs so the idea of a slightly lower top bar sounds find to me!

    It’s on!

    Cheers for the replies,
Think that basket might be a good call…

Some helpful answers that really have pointed out to me that it won’t make massive differences, I appreciate those who gave a helpful answer,

For those who didn’t, thank you too xxx :|

The choice is making my head feel tight, I think I might implode!

However, the price of the Albert is far too tempting…..

    Butttttt……

    The Kili looks soooooo Good!

    ARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!
