The Hand & Heart on derby road (in the city) does the best Sunday roasts you’ll likely to come across! Proper pub that utilises one of the thousands of caves Nottingham has to offer and a funny piano playing man!

Between 30-50 miles a day on road 13-40 miles on mtb.

    Welsh A & B roads, north Wales will be a killer! Trail centres are as follow;
    Llandegella
    Penmachno
    Coed y Brenin
    Climachx
    NantyrArian
    Coed Trallwm
    Brecfa
    Cwncarn

The more I look at it the more it looks tougher!

Next year? You’ve got a bit of time to start building that mileage though….

April, should be enough time to get my legs in condition!

You are getting your excuses in early, but you still know where you should be and what you should be doing…

Maybe, Just know I’ve not got much in the way free time at the moment.
I do however want to do this, great goal for me, I’ll be on it as much as possible until I can get into full training.

    HIT?!

Yeah, marriage in June & in process of buying first home combined with currently been at work, leaves me a little out of sorts to begin training just this moment!

Not a traditionalist at all and our wedding is more a big party after the registry office,
My speech will be much shorter than organic355’s,

I’ve a few days off work this week which I’ll use some time to put it together, I’ve put together a list of ideas I want to include, future mrstacopowell wants to get in the act and continue our speech! Thanking her grandparents, inspartional after 70+ years of marriage!

Massive thanks to all the replies and words of encouragement! :D

Will get it written down over the next week or two, keep it short and sweet and try to not sweat! (far easier said than done!)

Would it be wrong to bring up the incredibly presumptuous way my wife initially got my attention or should I leave the embarrassing stuff for the best man to aim at myself?!

(couldn’t be arsed with the original series

This crossed my mind but after watching the first episode today, I think it’d be rude not too, yeah it’s dated but I honestly enjoyed it, plus they were proper kinky in the 60’s.

£250 for the 853 until next Friday.

I’ve not ridden the 853 but that sounds pretty good to me!

I’m sure which ever you choose, you won’t be disappointed!

Haha! Yes! Get them early, my Brother-in-law got my niece into Dr Who proper early, by 3 1/2 years she could recite all the previous Dr Who Actors and in chronological order!

What I struggle with is the inability for technology to update,
ie. episode in enterprise has a visitor from 900years in the future with a 3D ‘Avatar’ style display (technology not all that far away today) and Captian Archer is in awe!

Maybe a tad petty as you’ll always have inaccuracies.

trekkie, ive got a 12 inch model of Captain kirk on the bookcase.

    OK….

You need to watch the 2009 Star Trek film – raises the bar to a new level….

Yep, watched it a year or so ago, really enjoyed it, new one looks pretty good! But there’s something about the naffness the series offer, aliens with blue skin, blonde hair and funny tentacle ears!

Be wary of using grease, if it can pop into place than surely they could pop back out, washing up liquid can dry, leaving the bead in place.

Unless your on a private supply, that pipe is miles long.
Even on the private supply at work there is still 250m pipe between the tap and the header tank.

The further the pipe goes back, I’d assume the more often the pipe gets used, water gets used on many taps, washing machines, toilets?

I may be barking up the wrong tree?

    Yes, Your wife is correct!
Never boil water more than once when making any hot drink!

Drain kettle, run cold tap for a few seconds, No stale pipe water please!
Boil water, leave for 30 seconds, add to cafetiere/mug.

Something to do with oxygen levels, I can always tell.

Do it! Up there last weekend and the puddles that have almost always covered the double track had gone, bone dry! Can’t wait to get back there!

The Syfydrin trail has a bit of climbing from Bont goch until you hit the rest of the trail, I’ve always started at Pendam, done legburner first, then Syfydrin and ride back to Talybont, great ride! Makes me smile to think about it!

    Blimey!

Posted the picture without a thought, I’ve had a stern word and I hold my head,

    Sorry mods!

Still not a fan of Vettel,
Gets pole, has the car do the rest.
Doesn’t get pole, struggles and throws his dummy out of his pram!

This. There’s no chance of a KOM on most roads in my area – they’re blocked out by Ian Bibby, Jack Pullar and Tejvan Pettinger.
    I’m always happy with a top 10.

Yeah me too, held 5th for a while, tbh I never pushed it since, shame on me!

    stop drinking milk.

I suffer from sinusitis now and then but exercise combined with cold weather makes it worse, I replaced the pint of semi-skinned for coconut milk, slightly dearer but has made a hell of a difference.

Andrewh, another great video, persevere through the poor cgi and its well worth a watch.

My bad, as enjoyable as this episode of horizon was to watch, it’s a few year old, pre Kepler telescope.
I’ll have a look at some more videos tomorrow. :)

Is this video worth a watch? I feel I need to watch it but the over dramatic Americanisation of it left me switching off within the first 30 seconds!

I’ll try again tomorrow, when I’ve got more patience about me!

Here’s one for the nitty gritty question that I’m sure most of us really want answering.

er, when they need tuning, whatever you mean by that. If you mean tweaking the spokes to make them round, then when they aren’t round any more. If it helps at all I have wheels which are over a decade old which haven’t been touched since they were first built.

Yeah, that kinda answers my question,

I suppose a set of decent hand built wheels will outlast factory built wheels?
