Done it for the last two years giving it a miss this time, moving on. Rode there on Friday just gone, was good as it was peaceful. One of the things that put me off was the “log jam” that always happens at the top of the first climb.
Oh and we stayed at Braithwaite, at the bottom of the hill, just off the A66

Enjoy the queue for the singletrack folks ;)

Whatever happened to the “boycott the new owners” when it was announced that the girls had lost the tender for the “new place”??

<cough> Dialled Bikes Prince Albert</cough> if he has one in your size! A bit different from a 234 or whatever it is and only slightly more less cheap.Lovely and will work with a 150mm fork

as long as you’re smooth it’ll probably be fine

What it boils down to really. I ran a 5″ fork on a 1996 Rockhopper for 6 months a year or so back. Its still alive…

Thats right you lot think Yorkshire is the North. There`s a fabulous bit above it just before you hit Scotia. But I wont bore you with it, you may come and try to ride it.. God it would be like the Peaks on a weekend, heaven forbid!

Pin point what it is that feels wrong(apart from rear end having no suspension)and figure if it can be sorted by changing componentry. If it can`t, flog it and put it down to experience.

And next time have a go on one before you build

Zedsdead. So your designed adapter will allow the said fork to take an IS brake caliper? I would be able to fit either a Hope C2 or a Hayes nine with 185mm rotors
If so yes please I`ll take one. How much beer would you be considering(pints ;) )
