I live on the otherside of the country to you and drive to The Alps/Provence most summers and have been for 10 years now…. no problem at all.
Taking your own vehicle solves a lot of (possible) logistical problems, you can stop when you want, where you want.

Another positive vote for a Dialled PA. I had a 520 and it was SOOOOOOOOO much fun, made me realise that its capable of everything that a full suss will do, with great aplomb!
Including 320km across France in 6 days:-)with lots of decending

Whatever you might think of the Prius, it’s a positive beauty compared to most of the others on this thread.

The thing is, the majority of the bastardised cars in here are half reasonable to start with….. That however, is something the Atoyot Pious will never be..
    IMO

Bought two pairs from Meerlin and two singles from CRC. The pairs stayed tight and true way longer than the CRC built wheels.
The CRC wheels lasted about a fortnight before the spokes became alarmingly slack and the Merlin wheels never lost that much tension.
The worst offender was a shimano hub/sun rim combination

Derailleur alignnemt tools are for steel frame. Replaceble mech hangers were invented as sacrificial mech hangers attached to aluminium frames, because it doesnt have the “memory” of a steel frame. If the aluminium mech hanger was bent, the frame would be worthless.

i dont think he is taken in by the whole 29 inch wheel experience

Perhaps he should`ve thought about the possiblity BEFORE spending that kind of money?

BC Organisers handbook gives pictures of what “required” equipment should look like, and the helmet looks remarkably unlike a MET Parashitechute

A couple of packages have gone missing on their way to me via royal mail recently. They probably got “binned” too!

Not RM policy to do that, In 25 years I delivered several items that had been inappropriately wrapped…They take the package and put it in a big clear plastic bag and secure tightly….
I would hate to think you were accusing the Postmen of theft…..
