Oh and plus £10.00 shipping so not much in it once you add in a stans tubeless kit !

But no tubeless kit included and i prefer buying wheels from a local shop incase of any issues no need to faff around with postage.

Still a good deal for someone

Its maybe a normal riding postion to you pros ! but she is new to Mtbiking and lacks confidance on downhill sections and feels like she it going over the bars ! So was just looking to alter the set up to make is more comfortable for her.

My girlfriend has the same problem on a Specialized Rockhopper hardtail seat higher than bars due to long legs !, Fitted higher rise bars and stem, Stem at the top of the steerer, Thinking of trying a set of 120mm forks on it (100mm at present) Not sure what it will do for the handling though ?

Any other problems with these hubs ?

Car tyres are just like bike tyres. You get what you pay for.
And there small contact patches are all thats keeping you on the road.

    They are catridge bearings

The only thing i dislike about the XTR hubs is adjusting and cleaning the bearing very now and again !

Thanks for the advice guys and i am sort of glad i am not the only one to have this issue ! I thought i was seeing things when i first noticed it.
Did try the wheel the other way round and it has the same issue, looks like its back to Sram for a warrenty claim.

    I have had an 2008 Anthem 2 and 2009 Anthem X3
My advice is have a GOOD try of one before you buy !
I found the 08 handling very hard to get used to with the steep head angle too easy to go over the bars.So much so i sold it
The X3 is far better still has a steepish head angle but much tamer very good on techy stuff and the rear suspension is amazing they are also very light bikes.
They are nice bikes if you like them, but a nightmare if you don’t

Think i will give Wheelpro a try i like there options and they get a good review from people on here.
Thank you to everone for all the advice

After looking through all the good advice i also like this option (Some weights from Freeborn site) –

    ZTR355 rims – 760g approx
    Hope pro 2 hubs – 470g
    Brass nipples – 65g
    DT revolution x64 – 283g
    Total 1578g

Wheelpro doing them for £285 or £330 (straight pull spokes)inc sealing tape and tubeless valve.
Seem like a light, strong reliable wheelset for the money
Also anyone recommend some good/light 9mm Skewers

I am tempted by the deal Merlin have with DT240 hubs with DT 4.2 rims for £349,

But Boobs on here reckons the rims bent/dent easy, and not sure how the weight compares to others ?
    Anyone else tried these ?

Thanks for all the replies guy, There are a lot of good options and now i have more ideas to choose from :-0

    Kiwi_stu – I use the 2.3 as i find it a bit more comfortable

Coopersport1 – That seems a nice light wheelset.

Had a look at Wheelpro and wondered what is the benefit of – Straight pull spokes ?

How would 2.3 Conti fit on the stans rims ? heard they are not ideal for wider tyres !

Nicks – They are tempting just a pain and extra cost having to swap to centrelock rotors

boobs – yes not that long really

    rob2 – Looking to spend £350 – £400

boobs – like the traversee they seem a bit stronger than the Controle but they seem scarce/sold out maybe a good thing shows they are popular
