Stay positive, the wedding planning should really help you look to the future.

I know what you mean about the waiting, i had some great news in that my second wider exicsion on my arm came back all clear yesterday, in for my second site one on thursday so i'm a lot more optomistic. I'm sure you'll be getting better news soon.

As for specialists, I'm a teacher in a state school and whislt i was on the operating table last week he asked me what i did and then proceeded to tell me how bad state education was on how that "obviously his children were privately educated". Luckily for him i wasn't really in the mood for a full on debate, especially as he was holding a very sharp scalpel!

    Stay strong.

PS my On One SS frame arrived yesterday as my little 'treat' so i'll be building that up this w/e, have you got anything new lined up, it does take your mind off other things.

    thanks all

there's no locking mechanism and it is a normal thread, the problem seems to be that it needs to be tightened to 250 ft lbs so i think i just need more brute force

I haven't got an new nut though!

Even if you're only using them once a week i'd still get some proper running shoes and get them fitted properly at a running shop. Not worth the risk of injury imho.

thomson posts do have very fine grooves running down the surface of the post and these do wear after a while, having said that there should be enough give on the seat tube to still tighten??

Well i really like the colour it is already so i'd leave it, black is boring and so is white but i suppose white is fashionable, hope that helps!

Just got onto this thread as i'm sat at home having had a large biopsy myself this morning, i'm a teacher too so i'm not complaining about the time off work! I was diagnosed with skin cancer last month and while i appreciate it is no where near as full on as your case it's been a difficult time for me and my family.

You sound very positive and i know you'll beat this and be back on the bike before long, looking forward to a long and happy marriage.

have a look on here, they are very good for complete bikes, as with MTB you get what you pay for but if you think she'll get into it look at Eastern, Fit, United, Subrossa, Wethepeople

cycling ones have longer arms too, my 'cycling' jacket is a walking windproof and the arms are a bit short for riding.
