Another no for POF/internet dating, you never know what you’re going to get and my recent experience was not a pleasant one, i’ve never met such an awful deceitful person. I’d rather go for a sports club/salsa type thing but in honesty he needs to get over his wife first!

My wife and I stayed in Bala, not far from Dolgellau, for a week last year, wonderful part of the world. Bala is one of the last places where Welsh is till sthe first language apparently.

My thoughts are with you. I lost my dad suddenly 3 years ago, only yesterday I ended up in tears… I went to blow up the tyres of my car and realised he always used to do it for me and the last time I’d had to do it was when I was 17 when he showed me how. Needless to say I got back in the car and came home in tears, any one want to do it for me? One day it will get better but do allow yourself to grieve and cry.

One of the best beaches is Porth Iago. Totally sheltered, beautiful diving, unspoilted and just £2 parking, With a map just North of Whistling Sands but much more sheltered. Other great things to do The Rivals, Morfa Nefyn beach, Plas Rhiw… Hirdre Fawr is a great relaxed exploring base…

Have you tried one of the package companies, I was quoted over £1000 for a transfer to La Thuile (can’t remember from which airport) but I contacted Thomas Cook and it cost me £10 each way.

Reply to TheArtist, as I said above, I work on commission only (so if I don’t work, I don’t get paid), so I wrote to them, explained my situation and they have excused me from jury service

First port of call, ask the holiday company if they will do a name change, they may for the accommodation, but not for the flight. But best to try their best nature especially given your Dad’s age

Usually it’s 2 weeks but can be up to 180 days!!! You can ask to be moved to a later date. I was asked last year, and postponed it to this year but as I work on a commission only basis, they have let me off with doing it this year 🙂
Not sure the money is that great, especially if you are on the jury for more than the 2 weeks, depends on your boss though! The expenses I would have received would not have come close to the salary I could earn by working
