Last time I used a GoPro I had a pair of goggles on. Found the goggle mount was nice and sturdy. Could you perhaps mount it on a headband if goggles are a bit much? Linky.

See, now, having seen all three videos I’m really sad to have missed that. Never mind, maybe when I become wealthy enough to own a car I can pop along. Either that or save for trains and plan ahead… oh who am I kidding?

Everyone wants to buy something that’s not yet for sale. Economics 101 that. Although, to be fair, I don’t like them. Nowhere near enough pins and a bit on the thin side. Not enough space there for your foot and a meager 9 pins isn’t a whole lot to hold your foot in place over rough ground.

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned the 24Seven LeToy yet. I’ve yet to ride a stiffer frame that’s more bulletproof. Beautiful machine, comes with a warranty that’ll cover SuperMonsters and I’m pretty certain they’ll fit Gazzidodi’s 3.0in tires.

On a related note, I haven’t seen anyone ranting about walkers heading up what can only be a mountain bike track. I’ve usually gotten the ‘I thought it was a badger run’ after the standard ‘Watch where you’re going! You could have killed me/my dog/any other walkers!’ At what point do we, as a collective of cyclists stop saying ‘everyone should just get along and be considerate’ and start saying ‘get off my singletrack you inconsiderate dog walking fool!’?

And here was me thinking I’d moved to a more cycle friendly country… Well, breaking forestry by-laws hasn’t been much of a concern for cycling as a sport in the past, can’t see why I should be too worried now.

Alternately, there is a temptation to incur one of these fines, take it to court and try and get a judge to uphold the fine. Perhaps it could set a precedent? ‘If horses can squash little birds and eat endangered species of plants, cyclists can avoid doing so wherever they please off-road.’ It’d be nice to see…

Glad to see Aphex Twin/AFX/Richard D. James get mentioned multiple times. I’m gonna say, in the minimalist corner Donnacha Costello – 6X. And because it’s just a beautiful album, Jeff Mills – Blue Potential. And yes, I’m fully aware it contains a full concert orchestra, but for me, that’s what makes it so good as an album.
