SHORTCUT made a good point there ! i come from a bmx & road background, ride both 29er’s & 26er’s & have countless bikes ! i personally prefer 26er’s since around where i live, it’s quite hilly & lots of tight singletrack so 26er’s perform better ! in my opinion 29er’s always perform better on flat areas so it also depends on where you ride ! i personally don’t see many 29er’s at trail centers & i wonder why ? 😆

me & Rivvy do have a past ? it’s very fast & fun but it’s one of the places i do tend to get my downhill confidence back ! eek, that usually ends up in a big stack & broken bones ! it could be that i’m just getting old so therefore better to stick to the other local routes eh, like the mary townley loop or gisburn forest lol !

Rivvy good for one thing ? The frigging good full on fast downhill from the tv mast & back to the pub ! good views but full off arrogant local bikers with chips or is it a JOHN BULL on there shoulders ! Blackburn bikers will know what i mean & my riding buddies from the rivvy area will also agree ! anyway, Must walk my american akitas up there more often lol ! maybe monday, wednesday & thurday night before i go home & beat up the wife ehh ! GET A LIFE LOWEY !

me too, i’m addicted to building my own custom builds ! spent thousands upon thousands on my seven high end full sussers, all kept under the watchful eye of my two american akitas LOL ! Really sad, i know but it’s better than smoking & drinking in excess but i could have been addicted to sex ? nah sod that, i’d rather be out riding with my buddies, having a crack & a few beers afterwards ! ROLL ON !

the route i take is from the dog & partridge pub (where the bike shop is, forgot the name ?) & not from the main car park ! the full route from there is about 14 mile & takes up to about 2 hours depending on the weather & who i’m riding with ! if you are an average rider & keep a steady pace, you should do it in about an hour & half !
