I was told by a weight watcher that cos you are smashing the fruit to bits your guts digest the sugar easier. I.e your body didn’t have to work as hard so it’s a disproportionate amount compared to eating fruit normally.

Just remembered older 36’s used a metal spring rather than an equalising air chamber. Either way the problem will probably be a seal or blocked port. Taking the lower’s off and removing the air spring assembly will at the least release the pressure and let you figure out what’s wrong.

get stuck in. If you don’t suss it the worst is you’ll have to send them off.

A lower leg service could sort this. Nothing special needed just take your time and follow the instructions. Transfer port could be blocked or a seal gone. You’ll find out once you’ve got them apart.

Seeing the older cheap forks we get at the bike recycling place I’d be more inclined to say they’ll be rusted up around t the bushes causing the stiffness. Can still be rescued though. Take them apart, clean them out, wet and dry the stantions, relube and resemble. That’ll make them live a little longer if you have to.

Is there to much grease blocking the positive and negative chamber notch? with the inards removed you should see a machined notch inside the leg. This let’s the chambers equalise when moving through travel. If it’s blocked with grease it won’t function.

I’ve always wanted to pay for some big sections of trail at my local forest. Complete a big loop they’ve had planned for years but never have the cash to do.

You’ll be fine. The area hasn’t had any flooding problems.

it’ll be wet and muddy on track though if the rain comes back.

I’ve just spent a few hours today tidying up a sneaky trail in an FC forest. Riding them is the best thing as it then shows up where a bit of work needs doing. I keep it minimal and just clean the slop off and the odd drainage ditch here and there.

Get out and enjoy the carnage as there’s usually some mug like me who’ll sort it out eventually ?

Old and worn moulds not getting replaced.

From the look of pics of them there is Allen bolts holding the top crown onto the legs and steerer so should be 3. These need slackening off, Stem and spacers off as well. If the crown doesn’t pull up it’ll need persuading with a soft blow hammer.

edit. Beaten to it but at least we agree.

I’d be needing a larger frame unfortunately but nice try ?

Thanks for the options. I’m hoping as much under £500 as possible for frame as I’ve got most bits to bid it up. Although that Marin looks a good deal.

Looks as if the dropper post is going to be the sticking point though. Most of what I’ve seen so far is 27.2 but I guess that’ll just have to be a bonus if I find one that fits.

    This escalated quickly!

it appears some folk didn’t understand the OP at first as surely no one on here thinks motocross bikes on mountain bike trails is defendable. We can only hope they get caught at some point as the bikes can get confiscated.

it also seems some don’t ride DH much were sessioning is a normal everyday word but haters gonna hate. Bet someone hates that phrase as well ?

Saints row is a comedy version of gta. The third one onwards are the best

+1 for the borderlands series. I’ve enjoyed all of them they are first person shooter but done in cartoon/manga style graphics.

A relation has one. Friendly little thing but it sounds like it struggles to breathe.

I’d suggest getting some poor little rescue mutt instead. It’ll be much healthier.

Love it. Tongue in cheek zombie action. Starting to prefer it to walking dead which is a bit to slow.

    Hope it gets another series

I’ve ditched the mudhugger I bought and gone back to a marsh guard type and down tube crud catcher. Best combo if you don’t like face splatter.

Friends had the DH bikes. Very well built and well specc’ed. Think they are German but just aren’t pushed over here like other brands. I’d have one if the price was right ?

I’ve just got the 180mm ones. Got them for bike stuff so didn’t want the bigger ones. Nice bit of kit and go up to 35mm I think. Surprisingly compact for the size nut they can fit. ?

SaxonRider is on the ball I’d say. Go and get your Bro, get him assessed ASAP when your back. Don’t let him or yourselves fear hospitalisation. They’ll look after him and it will give him a chance to recover. Be there for him but don’t try to fix him. It will happen eventually but it may take a while if he’s as ill as it sounds.

Good luck to your brother and yourselves. ?

Ahh. Sounds familiar. Do these in the local bike recycle place. It can be a ball ache but if they have to come off we use a bearing puller then replace with cranks from a donor bike.

Cheapest I found them earlier in the year was bike shop.de or whatever it’s called. About 240 delivered.

I’ve always used Stendec suspension oil in all my forks. Think chain reaction sell it now so easy to get good of.

A bit different but I’ve been buying these duck tape wallets for years now Ducti Wallets

They are quite slim and when it wears out you send it back with a few quid and they replace. ?

I’ve got the same problem on my 29er with a low stack, short stem combo.

Just run your shifters and brakes slightly loose so they spin when they hit the top tube. I’ve also put a few layers of frame tape at the contact point.

    Plus

    don’t crash!

I’m using the superstar valves with electrical packing tape bought in eBay. It apparently it’s the same tape stans use but you get a massive roll for ten pounds. It does appear to be exactly the same and works really well. Do some googling and you’ll soon find it. Gorilla tape works well but I found the stans copy tape is smoother and makes tyre fitting easier ?

I was struggling with the motivation earlier as well. Couldn’t be arsed to load car to go up forest so I did a local bridleway, railway and route instead. Glad I did. Was a bit nippy but busted out twenty miles in the end. got just as filthy as if I’d gone up the forest which I hoped to avoid but ho hum…. it was fun.

One of my all time favourites. Naveed and his missus are good characters as well.

Try Burnistoun if you can find it. Brilliant Scottish sketch show.
