I’ve not had any bother to be honest. There is a message on there explaining the stock levels and I just kept checking back. I’ve had a seat pack, fuel pod and frame bag over the last month or so.

Quality kit. Very impressed with what I’ve bought.

All good so far. Thinking this could be the extra push I need to just get one ordered.

Shame I can’t use my current rear wheel as the mkII’s are boost but I’m sure the wider pivot and what not will be awesome :-)

The quality will be suspect on that so make sure the handle and collet are fastened up nice and tight before hammer to stop the threads shearing. Stop and check them again during vigorous whacking!

    I talk from experience.

Handle came off mine but l luckily got a friend with a lathe to fix it.

Why not sign up to pet pals and just look after someone else’s when you need a dog fix. You get paid for it as well.

    Get the mount faced.

Had same issue on my steel forked Genesis. Uneven paint on the mount caused squeel, judder and misalignment.

Faced it and all problems gone. A well kitted bike shop should have the facing kit.

I’ve done it the cheap way.

I park near a river for most of my riding so just have a bucket and brush.

When I’m somewhere else I use a 8L pump sprayer with brushes. It,s a bit slow but gets the job done and has a decent pressure to it.

I’m sure it’ll ride nice but it’s one ugly duckling :-)

On a side note I’m guessing that’s your usual bike leaning wall ?

My hallway is scored with the same bar and saddle marks as well :-)

Is this one of those “gay tests”? All be it slightly more sophisticated.

Yeah. I’ll mess around with the strap positions. I also bought a couple of extra seat post straps,as spares, when I ordered so run three on mine. Doesn’t seem to make a massive difference if I’m honest!

To be fair that’s a nice clean design. Funky little trailer as well. Wonder if that’s sold separately?

Good thinking. I’ll give that a try now.

Got mine today to go on my Genesis Longitude. Only had a short ride so far but they feel great. Nice amount of backsweep and blinking massive at 800 wide but again feels good.

I was hoping they’d be a bit cheaper but ho hum… I got some anyway..

I think Mr Stooge could be on to something here.

Get that thing apart and have a look if it’s not adjusting correctly.

Really easy to do and no fly away parts inside! Just take your time and lay everything out in order.

You’ll feel like a genius when it’s back together and working again.

Totally understand about the fact they’ll never be a rigid structure and that harness does look a good idea, but mission accomplished folks. You’ve given me some ideas on how to make it that tad more secure.

Yeah grey straps. I get the same bit of wobble. OK when riding seated but felt a bit odd when stood up for a quick blast.

Seat post straps are two, inch and a bit wide rubberised things. Seem good. It’s the seat rail ones I seem to can’t get tight enough.

I do like it though. Managed to fit quite a bit of kit in it today.

If it’s cable operated and you’ve got running 1x you could modify an old front shifter. Works surprisingly well.

KS Dropzone posts use a similar cable stop to hold the cable in the lever at the top of the post. Is bigger than a normal cable stop but not by a massive amount.

In my misspent youth I parked up outside local recreational substance suppliers house. Got out to knock on the door to notice it was open and the rubber seal around the edge hanging off. Being a bit dim I was still about to knock when a mysterious voice quietly echoed along the street saying “the coppers are in”.. looked around, couldn’t see who said it but finally put the broken door and the word of advise together. Jumped in the car, took off up the street and passed by two police cars coming the opposite way lights blazing!

Was a nervous wreck for a few days but never got a visit. I’m still grateful to whoever provided the quietly worded advice. My guardian angel on that day :)

That thankfully was the beginning of the end of my misspent youth

If you can open it up the seal on the end of the plunger needs greasing. Had the exact same symptoms on a portable pump handle pressure washer thing. Opened it up. Cleaned and regreased shaft and seal and it works like new again.

I’m guessing the heat produced during use causes the seal to dry out.
